This was on the Military channel. The Blackwater base was being over run by insurgents. They quickly ran out of ammo and the military refused to offer any help. They were on their own.....

@spartenurmom you actually cant choose to be a Military sniper you have to be selected for that. it can all be based on your PT scores, your marksmanship at the shooting ranges, and if there's room for you to get into Sniper school when your in your unit. Youd have to request for it in your Infantry type unit. hope that helps

@poopyloopster Yeah there were many times they kept the civilians in those govt buildings safe when there was so much chaos the military was unable to protect everything. Frankly I think there job is pretty scary. They are singled out just like US troops if not more with no real military air support or fire base support.

This was on the Military channel. The Blackwater base was being over run by insurgents. They quickly ran out of ammo and the military refused to offer any help. They were on their own.....
So finally Blackwater owned heli's came in and resupplied the unit.

@RangerUSArmy10 - As a a fellow Soldier I can say you are ignorant as to the history of the country we serve and the fact that private contractors or mercs havs been used since America was founded.
The fact that our military has been cut to the degree that it has by liberals and yet the tempo for missions has increased as well as the scope of our mission as now we have Soldiers on ground in Libya.
If it was not for private contracters from shooters to food handlers we couldn't handle it.

@elouwen picking on? im confused, usa has definately had its fair share of action that we arent proud of but to jump to saying we pick on other countries seems like a big leap. would have been great to get a zoomed in look at some of the groups they were putting rounds at. just to get an idea of distance too. hard to tell in this clip but it looks fucking far. i think the guy said 800 meters. and then some by the looks of it. probably no real need to worry about return fire from an AK in a regular haji's hands at that range. let alone of they could vector in somehow on where these guys were set up.

@spartenurmom you actually cant choose to be a Military sniper you have to be selected for that. it can all be based on your PT scores, your marksmanship at the shooting ranges, and if there's room for you to get into Sniper school when your in your unit. Youd have to request for it in your Infantry type unit. hope that helps

they are doing "special operations" type work, nothing they do is black and white, to think so is turning a blind eye to the reality they face. @elouwen Not true. The shooter is Travis Haley of Magpul Dynamics, one of the leading tactical training institutions in the world today. Travis was a Marine sniper, then began doing government contract work in the Middle East and the African continent after his honorable discharge. Now he is a tactical instructor along with Chris Costa.

You'd be mistaken to call it a ass whipping, Eisenhower, also made a critical mistake that is back lashing the United States right now, we pushed past Pyonyang, we had an oppurtunity to unite Korea.

The problem with your little "equation" is that the U.S military manfactures their own ammunition which is transported by ship by the U.S Navy to war zones by the military or PMCs who can sometimes do the job, better, more efficiently, and cheaper. The US military does not buy their ammunition from a third party seller, it goes from the plant in l
