  • i thought somebody had thrown a chair in to the room the presenters so wooden

  • God, I've seen school projects with better production value than this.

  • liverpool vs chelise coates

  • fuckin hell it's not pronounced Koats its said: Kwatez

  • I would rather have half of Phil Jones than this joker.

  • @77Metallica If United had signed Coates you'd be saying the opposite. So shut up.

  • @TheVerve480

No because what has he done to impress me?

    Nothing

He would not be there in the first place as he is more of a defender for teams like aston villa, Newcastle, Liverpool, Fulham or Sunderland.

He is not a world class defender.

  • @77Metallica What has he done to impress? Played a big role in Uruguay's Copa America win. Won young player of the tournament, which included young players like Neymar etc.

Ofcourse he isn't a world class defender YET. Name any 20 year old center back who is world class?

Is Phil Jones (who cost a lot more) world class yet? NO.

  • @rimmerscott

Is Phil Jones far better than Coates? YES.

He is 19 and is that many times better than Coates.

Phil Jones cost about 8 million more for a far better prospect who is one year younger and has premier league experience.

Coates is more like Jenkinson. Both could surprise me one day.

  • @77Metallica Why is he far better? because he's been given a chance? Coates hasn't played because we havn't had too may injuries at the back. 1 year means nothing.

I'm not saying he isn't better than Coates but how will anyone know untill he gets a run of games?

  • @rimmerscott

He is probably better than Carrager...that is all I have to add.

  • @77Metallica i dont like phill jones because he looks like a dickhead, but he is good even tho coates seems as he will also be good in the future

  • @TheBonkersNinja

    Yes but he isn't a dickhead :)

John Terry looks like a dickhead and is one. On the other hand Jones may look like one but is not.

Im sure coates can become better aswell :)

  • @77Metallica You seem clueless here.

  • @jackmilo89

Expand. I I tried to explain what I meant in the simplest fashion. Sorry, I hope you understand.

  • @77Metallica I don't know where to start. "Coates is more like Jenkinson" How? Coates is very good technically Jenkinson is not plus one is a CB the other a FB."He is 19 and is that many times better than Coates" How can you say that when you have hardly seen Coates play? Coates got player of the tournament at the Copa America that's like Jones getting player of the tournament at the Euro's which isn't realistic.Phil Jones cost more than 8 million do your research.

  • @jackmilo89

    hahahaha...FAIL

"Phil Jones cost about 8 million more for a far better prospect"

8 million more, not 8 million!

But I forgive you, probably an honest mistake.

I meant more like Jenkinson in the way he will probably DEVELOP into a decent player. Unlike Jones who has been performing to a decent standard already.

    Is that alright with you?

Glad we could clear things up.

  • @77Metallica LOL yeah my bad.Have you ever seen Coates play? .I don't think he will develop anything like Jenkinson, the guy is far superior technically has already got lots more experience than Jenkinson. This guy is getting in the Uruguay team at a young age with already good defenders there like Godin,Lugano and Caceres.Smalling for example wasn't even getting starts often for Fulham when Man Utd bought him but now he's pretty much a regular.

  • @77Metallica STFU dickhead

  • @shagrath37

    Truth hurts...

  • @77Metallica not at all moron... talking trash sucks

  • Well I respect your optimism.

  • That's a voice for the shipping forcast

  • How was Alberto Aquelani a flop? for coming to liverpool injured for 6 months , played well from january til the end of the season and linked up well with gerrard in the middle .. then at the end of season Benitez the manager who bought him got sacked and hodgson ahd to loan him out due to his wage bill with hicks and gillete . he never really got the chance to really prove himself.

  • life's a pitch? lol

  • Damn! ZZZZZZZZZZZ haha

  • ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • boring bastards them 4.

  • @TeamTzRgaming well said fuck sake

  • idiots on youtbe? no i've never witnessed that. oh by the way, isnt his dad scottish, not english?

  • God, that was boring.

  • SNORE!!!!!!!

  • some small minded people on these comments, just because his dad is english does not mean his surname is pronounced 'coats'. surnames can go back generations

  • @JonnyJackass493 funnily his dad is english isnt that weird!!!!!, an englishman moves to uruguay and suddenly his name is pronounced Ku-wat-tez. there are some idiots youtube ...sheesh.

  • @JohnnyType2 did you not read the last line? yeah, there are some idiots on youtube.

  • !???????

  • These people are so weird. They all sound like creepy paedophiles...

  • lamest host ever

  • 2:51 when the guy started talking i laughed so much. Little creep.

  • @19Wylds95 LOL

you can imagine him saying Mummy

  • Is actually pronounced "Coats" - i.e. in the English sounding way.

Is old man is English, and is a v English surname!

  • @awalton75 no its pronounced as Quatez

  • it's actually pronounced, co-ah-tez

  • @JonnyJackass493 dont be silly soft lad, his dad is english, its 'Coats'

  • @JohnnyType2 so? does coates sound like an english surname to you?

  • @JonnyJackass493 Oh Dear.. i hope you were'nt trying to make a point? if you were youve just been owned...

    w w w . houseofnames . com/coates-family-crest

  • incase you cant surf to that address here a little excerpt.

The name Coates is of ancient origin and was written in the earliest records as De Cote, a Norman name; the letter "a" occurs in the spelling as early as 1331, when in the fourth year of Edward III, William De Coates was Lord of Coles DeVille in Leicestershire, England, and in 1347 John De Coates, with an "a" held lands here of Bishop of Lincoln, although the name was generally written Cotes until the seventeenth century.

  • Respond to this video... really? his dad is english, strange pronunciation of an english surnname?

  • It's not "Coats". It's "Kwat-ez".

  • @princeofpointless its coates mate he's of Scottish decent :)

  • @BackInAGiffy the scottish spelling is Cotes, the english derived name is coates. Funnily enough his dad is english

  • @JohnnyType2 he wants it pronounced kwa-tez but really it is an anglo/Scottish name.

  • Who are these twats? Who cares.

  • the guardian dude and the presenter are so buttfucking each other...

  • Sami Hyypiä, Daniel Agger, Martin Škrtel, and Sebastián Coates = Goes to show Liverpool know very well, how to negotiate :) the cost of these four players, cost less than what Man City payed for Joleon Lescott. Less than what Man Utd payed for Rio Ferdinand!!!! Bottom line is - LIVERPOOL KNOW THEIR PLAYERS!!!

  • @wagwanbredz7 no way!!

  • Seriously that geezer may as well hold a piece of paper up to his face, its so obvious hes reading off the autocue.

  • Very good signing.

  • Comment removed

  • poor mans match of the day

  • the future capitan of uruguay selection!!! SEBA IS THE BEST

  • he has possibly the most boring voice in television.

  • @MartinJackHalls homophobe

  • @MartinJackHalls Give me Frank Pickle anyday. hahaha!

  • @WanderlastAtLast Coates is an English name, there are some Scots who have it too but spell it as Coats.

  • @endswherebegins his father is english

  • it's " Co-at-es " or as ngubod16 said , "Kwatez" , not " coates " , get it right all EPL commentators / pundits !

  • didnt get dropped from a single match since his debut at 17 for nacional. says it all really

  • its pronounced Co ah tez

  • @ngubod16 Coates' father is English so it's an English pronunciation.

  • window watch ? what kind of a pervy name is that

  • @irishelk2 transfer window :P

  • @irishelk2

that is because it is short for transfer window, I.E. "Transfer Window watch". when you look at it that way it does make sense, but i do get what you mean.

  • you fat detestable fuck

  • These guys dont now anything about football in uraguay this was seen as historic because of the £7 million price tag hes the most expensive player ever brought strait from there national league!

  • Its pronounced 'Kwatez 'not 'Kohtz' ! Geez.

  • @ngubod16 Coates is an english surname, I think the English know how to pronounce their own names!

  • @endswherebegins Well, it maybe an English name but he's Uruguayan and that's how its pronounced. Its like David Villa who's Spanish. The David is pronounced 'Dahveed' not 'Dayvid' or Thierry Henry where Henry is pronounced 'Hanri' not 'Henri' like the English would call. So his is pronounced Kwatez not Kohtz like the English would normally say.

  • @wagwanbredz7 You havnt got a clue

  • @wagwanbredz7 he's half the age though.............

  • i thought he said, lifes a bitch.co.uk

  • it's not a done deal yet?

  • @velveteyes79 work permitt pending, then to be announced. Medical passed.

  • @Bucketheadhead Exactly........

  • @jimmygb88 what over carragher, you must be mad.

  • Just to let you guys know this "peñarol has more fans" thing (read below, tinchitoman's comment) is just bullshit.

Actually, that club as a whole is full of shit. To the point that they call themselves "manyas", after the italian expression "mangia merda" ("shit eaters").

But please, don't believe me... ask THEM!" they are SO proud of who they are! LOL!

  • He´s tall, but despite his height he´s good with the ball. I think this is a very good deal for Liverpool, cause Coates is only 20 years old, and already played a lot of important games (in Copa Libertadores.. our Champions League, and in Copa America) and he has done it with great level. I think with a little time he´ll settle down and be an important player to the team.

    Regard from Uruguay!

  • As a Peñarol fan (for those who don´t know that team, it`s one of the biggest in South America, and the team with more fans in Uruguay, also Nacional´s rival) I have to say that Coates is a very good player.

  • @tinchitoman anda a vender humo a otro video, muerto. segui viviendo tu mentira

  • All spanish speakers would follow that logic, many anglo names have been "hispanized" like that. Originally Sebastian ancestors came to South America from Britain. Coates is a scottish surname, more precisely a sept from Farquharson clan, you can check this in the clan's web. ...and seems to be a relative of mine too!!

  • Just pronounce it as it reads. It's NOT a south american surname, it's a scottish one. In Uruguay nobody says his name as it sounds originally because they read "oa" different than english speakers and don´t silence letter "e" before "s".

  • Just pronounce it as it reads. It's NOT a south american surname, it's a scottish one. In Uruguay nobody says his name correctly as they read "oa" different than english speakers and don´t silence letter "e" before "s".

  • think its a great signing for us. agger and him centre back

  • so hes officially signed?

  • they need to realise the actual pronunciation of Coates is "Kwa-tez"

  • Coats? Oh they meant Coates...lets hope the liverpool squad kbow how to say his name or he'll be ignoring everyone!

  • God I hate how they always butcher the pronounciation of Spanish/Latin American names!

  • I KNOW HE IS AN URUGUAYAN DEFENDER BUT DONT FORGET HE IS FROM CLUB NACIONAL DE FÚTBOL THE SAME CLUB AS LUIS SUAREZ. THE BEST CLUB OF AMERICA. HE IS GOING TO DO HIS BEST AND IM SURE YOU ARE GOING TO ENJOY THE WAY HE PLAY AS WELL AS WE DO IN URUGUAY, SPECIALLI PEOPLE WHO SUPPORT NACIONAL (LIKE ME). GOOD LUCK SEBASTIAN COATES! ALL THE BEST. AND I HOPE YOU COME BACK ONCE DAY.

  • coats lol so british

  • "Co A tes" not coats has the same birthday as sami hyypia

    good sign :D

  • @barudna123 and the same height! #replacement

  • Mike Calvin - You're by far the most boring person i've ever seen.

  • @andywedga loool

  • it's actually CO-A-TES

  • I think it's pronounced Sebastian co-ar

  • PLEASE!!! Sebastian CO - AAAAAAAAAAA- TeS, pronounced COATES not Couts, Couts hurts my ears, his ears, and of all Uruguayans. He does not like being told Couts. Regards!

  • Dont know much about Sebastian Coates but really looking forward to see him play.
