He just tears up "My Prayer"!! He hits those high notes at the end, and WOW!! The original by the Platters was always a fav of my Mom's. I played her Johnny's version and she cried. It's that good!!

Why did Dirty Dan leave the band? And I saw somewhere that Johnny still sings (and he's a chef?) so I wonder why he doesn't re-join Sha Na Na? Does anyone know? Also, is Jocko married now?

We may never know the true reasons why he left. Happens alot in bands. Folks grow apart. happens in marriages too LOL. Yes Johnny sings still he is a solo performer. As for Jocko I don't know if he is still married. I'm sure if he's lonely we got LOTS of ladies here *raises own hand to be first * LOL

@Foofsmom Jocko's been married to the same lady for about 25 years, a big time real estate agent. One of their kids is a computer prodigy of some kind, I've heard. He produces music for TV shows. And he still tours with the band, they play an amazing number of dates. Youtube brought them back. They had a 40th Anniversary Grease Reunion at Hofstra in 2010 with Flava Flav, Lisa Lisa, Trey Songz and Public Enemy.

I graduated in '77 so most the time I was out being stupid so I don't remember but OMG I am hopelessly in love w/ Danny and Donny. Swine lake is HYSTERICAL. My sister and I watch it all the time ROTF.

Boy, do I remember when I first saw this one! Thursday, February 23, 1978 on CHCH-TV, later on WIVB on Saturday, March 4, 1978. It sure puts Shawn Cassidy's version to shame, which was a huge hit the previous year. But Martha Reeves guesting on this show was one of the things that made this episode memorable. That, Donny's version of "Venus", Denny's version of "You Send Me" and the infamous "Swine Lake"!
