i don't think leaving coffee out ABSORBS the odors, but masks them. when you smell odors after a while and smell coffee beans, it clears your scent pallet for a little while until you smell something else.... that's why they have those bowls of coffee beans at perfume departments so you can effectively smell the perfumes lol

These are good ideas for what you have around the house, but I've noticed they just seem to mask the odors. I wanted a solution to getting rid of the funky odors I had going on in my new house. I went online to see what I could find n found a sweet product called RoomShocker. It was exactly what I was looking for, it didn't mask the odors, it killed them completely! I'd be paranoid about breathing whatever chemicals would be blown into the air from those dryer sheets.

Perhaps set them up thick when you go on vacation. OR find a good essential oil and a candle / oil lamp; at least it's organic.
