I love the gameplay in Uncharted 3, but I have to agree that CryEngine 3 (Sorry if thats not right) and Unreal Engine 3 are better. (Also the engine used to create Battlefield 3 looks better, however I forgot what that one was called.)
@Austen364R frostbite engine 2 and no they do look better uncharted did not unleash its full potential if it had a spin off on the xbox or pc it would look like wow epic but then it will use a diffrent engine

@RagingUtai It's a fantastic game though as I really didn't want it to end, especially in the dockyard, jumping from boat to boat to get to Ramses' Cruise Ship is really the highlight of the series for me.
I wish uncharted 3 was longer. I think the problem with uncharted 3 is , you kept moving from area to area, where as in uncharted 2, u stayed in one setting for a longer amount of time. Also, What i missed from uncharted 2 was the awesome boss fights. The helicopter showed up 4 or 5 times in the game, and the tank showed up twice. Both were awesome. In uncharted 3 there wasn't anything like that. Also little of elena was a shame.

I sincerely hope you're referring to the PC version here and not the console version, as the console version looks no better than Crysis 2. BF3 on PC totally looks better than UC3 or ANY console game for that matter. However, BF3 console does not. UC3 beats it.

@ElJuzgado Uncharted 2's graphics were still better (in multiplayer) because in order to add split screenm 3D, and customization, they had to reduce the detail slightly to keep it running at 30-40 FPS. The single players both looked great though, hard to tell which one was better. There was no significant change of graphics between the two games overall though.
I think it's not really surprise now , In 2011 , we've seen games that have much better graphics than this.
Anyway , what made Uncharted series to be the best action game of mine is not just grapphics , it has interesting story , funny dialogues , Charming characters... all perfect !

PS3 version of Black ops does look plain in comparison to Uncharted. If you play PC version of Black Ops with max settings you are in for a treat. Try it, its a much better experience.

@bretert Actually, Infinity Ward made their own engine, the IW engine, for COD4 and then upgraded it for MW2. Activision didn't have to do anything. Black Ops used the IW engine used for COD4, and MW3 will use IW 4.0 So there's only been one game out with the newer engine, and three games with the older Infinity Ward engine. It's not really about Activision. And Activision is in no way losing money because of the engine used in Call of Duty.

I have played gears of war and the story in the single player seems no different any other third person shooter out there whilst Uncharted broke away from those boring types of story and given the player characters who they can relate to and the story isnt predictable unlike Gears which has the overall play style of many games already out there... Gameplay matters, Not graphics.

@ElJuzgado Uncharted 2's graphics were still better (in multiplayer) because in order to add split screenm 3D, and customization, they had to reduce the detail slightly to keep it running at 30-40 FPS. The single players both looked great though, hard to tell which one was better. There was no significant change of graphics between the two games overall though.

@bretert Actually, Infinity Ward made their own engine, the IW engine, for COD4 and then upgraded it for MW2. Activision didn't have to do anything. Black Ops used the IW engine used for COD4, and MW3 will use IW 4.0 So there's only been one game out with the newer engine, and three games with the older Infinity Ward engine. It's not really about Activision. And Activision is in no way losing money because of the engine used in Call of Duty.

I have played gears of war and the story in the single player seems no different any other third person shooter out there whilst Uncharted broke away from those boring types of story and given the player characters who they can relate to and the story isnt predictable unlike Gears which has the overall play style of many games already out there...
