  • I have sansamp too but I've never found sound just like this, could you tell me how to set up my sansamp to get such a perfect sound like yours?

  • @kruelkats Thank you. I don't remember settings I used for this, and I don't have the Tri-AC longer either, sorry.. But I do remember I added compressing, short delay and reverb in the mix, and a hint of tremolo on the Jaguar Baritone part, and I think I also double-tracked it. But you should be able to get almost any sound you want from the Tri-AC, it's a great little unit!

  • Tell me you are not readin this. If you are I give up, I am gonna take up underwater basket weaving or something....Freakin incredible!!!

  • @racetra123 Do you mean if I was reading sheet music when I recorded this? Yes, I was, actually. I wrote this piece many years ago, and when I decided to record it, I hadn't played it in a long time, so I had to use my old hand-written sheet music in order to remember it correctly. I still remembered parts of it by heart, though.

Thanks! (Good luck with your underwater basket weaving.. ;-)

  • @rednebb You are an incredible player and an awsome composer. Maybe I will stick it just a bit longer .....hahaha!

    And no, Thank you!

Konge! :-) "buy now".. :-)

  • @ioria280781 My solo album; "Axe-Files", is out now, please check my latest video for more

  • never saw a 3 pickup telecaster ... does that model has a special name?... can you pls tell me any info about this guitar?

  • @wiindom Yes, it's a Fender Nashville B-bender Tele, it has three pickups, 5-position switch and a bulit-in Parsons/Green B-bender system

  • You are such an icon! Are you playing in some band?

  • @Jule553648 Yes, I play in a couple of local bands, but I'm also working on a solo project, and hope to get a solo album out soon..

  • exelent!

  • @danyur020 Thanks!

  • Great sound !

  • Great playing. Love the face. Looks like you're disgusted that the guitar can't handle the skill of your playing.

  • @JackLeft13 ;-) Hehe.. Thanks!

  • youre definitely my favorite guitar player on youtube. Youre so versatile. Your videos are great

  • @Classicalgtarboi Thanks, I really appreciate that!

  • Badass! Love how the bari jag and tele compliment each other.

  • @blacksunfish Thanks! Yeah, I think those two guys get along well, and they both look quite good too ;-)

  • Great playing! I like it far more than tasteless shredding :)

  • @Vordrab Thanks!

  • Be great to get a tab/sheet music for this!

  • I love that baritone! And killer chickin' pickin', Ketil. And nice Carvin in your "Fuzz" video!

  • @jacknarcotta Thanks!

  • I have been watching your videos and what strikes me,your expression never varies.

I like that fact and really am put off when people contort themselves while they play.I realize that this is their natural expression and therefore cant be helped. But none-the-less,I admire that trait. You are the everyman's pro!

    Awesome

  • @herbyverstink Hehe.. Thanks, cool that someone actually gives me credit for my lack of expression (and smiles), I mostly get negative comments on that.. ;-)

  • Cool

  • thats one kick ass tone man

  • Thanks!

  • yeah i forgot your tele has a b bender .mine does not also my fret board is ebony cool sound contrast between tele and jag cool cool cool.

  • Your my new hero...lol....was very impressed, great job, great video, incredible pickin. Thanks

  • Thanks!

  • whats that silver circle by your bridge? pete townsend knob??

  • It's part of the B-bender mechanism; the B-string comes up there..

  • nice jag man.

  • Yeah, it's cool, isn't it? ;-)

  • amazing! excellent! very good!

  • Thanks!

  • Amazing work!

  • Awesome!

  • Excellent sound and playing!!!

  • Thanks!

  • Excellent play, sir! You are a born guitarist, now question about that!

But somehow, after listening to your play, I don't feel like learning to play the guitar anymore... maybe if I had a million years to practice... : )

    Amazing! Wow!

  • Thanks, and please don't quit your guitar playing because of me.. ;-)

  • not something I'd really ever like or listen to but this is awesome! =D

  • Absolutely great!!!! some of the best playing on u-2b. some fine axes to bra!!! (playing and on the wall)

how do like the TRI AC ?

I have one ordered... hoping it will cover blues to medium rock sounds.

    I will subscribe!

  • Thank you very much! I like the TRI-A.C. very much, it can be used both as a direct preamp or as a stomp box, but you'll get the best results if you plug it straight into the return of your fx loop instead of the regular amp input. Used as a direct preamp it works fine on its own, but sometimes I like to hook it up with my Palmer The Junction DI box to give it a slightly "warmer" sound.

  • Very cool.

I noticed on another one of your vids... you use a V-Stack BMH... I have the Classic... I like it alot... it just don't clean up too well... how does the TRI AC compare to the V-Stack as a pre-amp... is the TRI AC as dynamic as the V?

BTW... have you seen the new Characters line of pedals from TECH21? they look awesome!

  • I like 'em both. The V-stack has more gain, but it's also very good on low drive settings for "SRV"-type sounds. And of course it's very good for Brian May-type sounds, obviously.. But the TRI-A.C has more possibilities, with three channels and all. So they're both very good pedals, and I can't say one is better than the other..

  • cool!! Thanks for taking the time man...

  • Comment removed

  • its mental how play like, all of that without even looking at the fretboard haha. awesome song man! i have subscribed O:

  • Thanks !

  • you should really make some lessons on this style. and what scale do u use for leads in country-style?

  • Thanks. It varies from song to song of course, but it's quite common to use a combination of the major blues scale ("Country-blues") and mixolydian, and double-stops (often combined with bends) and chromatics are also quite common in this style.

  • I like the part where your tele turns into a jag!

  • Does your tele' have that bending mechanism on the front strap peg? Any way, very nice playing; Killer fun chops.

Keep up the very good work Thanx :-D

  • Yeah, this model has the "Parsons/Green" B-bender system built-in. Thanks!

  • It's me.. Thanks for watching, but I don' t appreciate being called a f***..

  • Your Norwegian country music is much preferable to the country music I've listened to.

  • Hehe.. Thanks!

  • Man, why did you acelerate the video? IS strange to see you in fast motion....

  • ? I didn't accelerate anything..

  • wooooo xDDDDDDDDD

  • You got mad skills. Love the baritone.

  • wow! muy bueno! desde argentina!

  • Whew! Nice job, a kick-ass tune as they say. Love the nod to Steve and the Dregs, you captured the rollicking spirit. Thanks for your signature details also - the Fender baritone gives a nice contrast during the solo dual!

I heard some Tommy Emmanuel in there also!

    Keep playing and posting

  • Thanks! ;-)

  • What tuning are you in? It sounds like a bass guitar at 2:02.

  • The Jaguar Baritone is tuned an octave below a guitar, exactly like the Fender Bass VI, so no wonder you think it sounds like a bass, it IS in fact a "bass guitar" in the real sense of the word (or maybe a "guitar bass" would be a more precise description?)..

  • Nice gat! Love the B bender style!! :)

  • do you have tabs for this, cuz this is AWESOME, i dont even like country that much, but i wanna learn it

  • No, sorry, but thank you!

  • In Italy we use to say:MAESTRO!!!!!

    Mvh Arnt P. i Sandnessjøen

  • I found a bottle on the beach the other day and rubbed it, a genie came out and granted me 3 wishes. I said ok, I wish I could play as good as rednebb, she laughed and mumbled something about no one being as good as you, so I threw the bottle back in the water and left. Now I'm heart broken. Your one heck a a good player, I watched 5 of your vids, fantastic...I pale in comparison.

  • ;-) Thank you so much!

  • Damn man. Come to the states. You can do some damage!

  • twangy :3 superb job.

  • genialt xD

  • Tusen takk!

  • Meget Bra. 4****

  • Imponerende!! 5*****

  • Tusen takk!

  • Great!

  • very nice! why is there a coin on the body of the guitar?

  • Hehe.. Yeah, it may look like a coin or something, but it's part of the B-bender mechanism my Tele is equipped with. For more details about this system, go to

    stringbender(dot)com/bender/fenderb.html

  • Hvilken stemming spiller du med Jaguaren ?

Den hørtes mye mørkere ut (?).

Fantastisk bra jobb også ! :)

  • Tusen takk!

  • deutsch?? ahah

  • no, norwegian :D

  • Yes, Yes, Yes. It don't get any better than this! Excellent. Love the switch to the Jaguar. You are a monster. Can you tell I'm excited. Gave me a shot in the arm to get to learning my new bender.

  • Thank you very much!

  • Your playing is outstanding and I love that B-bender Tele! I've never had the chance to try one, but, after seeing this, I'd sure love to own one!

    Great song!

  • Thank you very much! Yeah, I love my Tele too.. ;-)

  • that is not a jaguar its a telecaster and really you rocks dude

  • Thanks. I play both a Telecaster and a Jaguar in the video(the Jaguar comes in at around 1:25)

  • Utrolig lyd du har der!

  • holy crap if i could play anything like you i would have a permanent smile on my face!!

haha i know what you mean about being focused on your fingers. i bet you are the best guitar teacher ever.

  • that is some good stuff, I've never been a country fan, but this is amazing

  • thanx rednebb, now im going to have to go to the guitar store and buy a tele. that was incredible!

  • why don't you ever smile !!

  • Yeah, I know,sorry.. I'm a happy guy really, it just doesn't show when I play! I'm obviously very concentrated on the music and my fingers, and I seem to have no control over my facial expressions.. I've considered playing with a bucket over my head, but someone else already stole that idea ;-)

  • he's thinking....deep thoughts.

  • never seen country played on a jaguar...very cool.

  • NASHVILLE FOR THE WIN !"!!!

  • heehaa!cowboy time baby!

  • bien le montage aussi.

  • ouais tu touches vraiment!

  • yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Simply Fantastic !

  • not my style, but i appreciate excellent talent.

  • this makes me happy..and also sad that i can't play like you.. nice!

  • hhahhhahh

  • Wow man, Ya Hoo indeed. That ripped, very nice job, really really liked the baritone too.

  • Brad paisley or Ketil Strand

    which is the best ???????

You are Great player guys!!!! AAAAA++++++

  • Excellent man! I'd love to be able to play that style.

  • Mere, mere, mere =)

  • I'm speechless... so amazing... too amazing :)

  • what style are you best at?

  • Others will have to judge me on that.. I like to play different styles obviously, and try to do my best whatever style I'm playing, but I guess I'm basically a rock guitarist trying to expand my musical horizons as much as I can..

  • well youre awsome, keep it up!

  • Takk!

  • One question: are you playing with an amp or not?

    Its sounds very good!!

  • Thanks. No,I don't use an amp, but a Tech 21 Sansamp Tri-A.C. pedal, a 3-channel analog amplifier simulator. Read "About the Video" for more.

  • keep that country comin

  • Så du spille country også? :D røper stadig nye sider av deg selv. Greit å få spilt begge instrumenta selv slik du vet d blir gjort skikkelig? hehe

  • Yeeeeeehaaa! This song makes my head rocks like a cowboy :D

  • great playing and tone man! cheers :)

  • the only thing missing is a 'smile'

  • Hehe.. Yeah, I know, I look really gloomy and stupid when I play. I can smile when I'm playing easy stuff, but the more difficult it is to play, the more grumpy I look! Maybe I should play with a bucket over my head like some guitarists do, then noone would notice..

  • very good work man! 5* of course

  • Knallbra Ketil! Keep 'em coming!! :)

  • Digg låt og deilige Fendere ^^

  • Takker!

  • orre heite!
