  • everything works better with chains

  • Do you see that bucket on the front? Use it!!

  • a real loaderman wouldn't have gotten IN that situation to begin with

  • why not use bucket to get out

  • I don't get it how is it here in Canada never once seen a problem like this and we get alot more snow than that and never have I seen a stuck plow and you think they would have started plowing as soon as the snow hit rather then waiting man this is so stupid on so many levels

  • Suuuuper g l a t t ,alleine kommt der da nicht mehr raus.

  • stupid driver

  • keep a rubbermaid tub of cat litter / oil dry in your cab- you woulda been out in less than 6 min. Oh wait though, your union job paid the same whether you got anything done or not......

  • Sad that a "trained" equipment operator cannot get himself out of a simple situation like that. As fostersrevenge said above, just put the edge of the bucket down and curl it back toward you, and voila, you pull yourself out!

  • Gotta get my man in there, he'd been out of that shit in no time, if getting stuck at all to begin with.

  • No, he's still there!

  • Did he get out?

  • durr, ummmm use the bucket. haha

  • What is it about the design or limitations of this machine that prevented the operator from taking a shovel that was offered to him and digging out in about 30 minutes instead of sitting on his ass for four hours?????

  • @jlstysis Union or not, hes a garbageman, and they arent known for being the sharpest tools in the shed. A REAL union operator could have gotten that loader out of that jam in less than five minutes.

  • is the tape 4 hours long? anybody can say anything they want.

Yes, its always extremely easy to "get out" when you are sitting on your couch in a nice warm house. Its not a construction site or mine with unlimited room to manuever. Its snow/ice covered streets surrounded by cars and moronic onlookers. Oh and dont forget the cameraman that never has anything else to do with his life besides videotape other people's lives.

  • its not a plow idiot, wheel loaders are not designed for use in snow, they are made for working in construction and mining applications, but fostersrevenge is right, it is extremely easy to get any machine with a moving bucket out of the snow, and there is no excuse for being stuck if you have any sort of qualification whatsoever

the driver was obviously stupid enough to think that a vehicle that depends on rimpull for it's digging force can dig it's way out of a stationary position, so stupid.

  • I would love to see the four hours that he was stuck. Then watch him get fired for sitting in the cab and doing nothing.

  • The department does not have any chains available for these machines. Complain to city hall for being cheap. Ice and mud are two different things. Have you ever operated one in snow and ice? Surrounded by cars?

  • Dumbass... You have down pressure. Get yourself out. People these days I tell you, nobody has common sense.

  • They better get them selves snowcats!

  • nice of you to help him. maybe the streets would have gotten cleaned faster if everyone worked together.

  • What the video does not show is that he was stuck there for three to four hours before finally getting out on his own. All he had to do was get out and put his back into shoveling for 30 minutes or so. Many people offered him shovels and to help. But why do that when you have a union job and cannot get fired for sitting in a warm cab doing absolutely nothing for four hours?

  • Everybody has answers from the comfort of their couches. Get a clue people. There are no chains available for these wheels. Have you seen the size of them? And putting the bucket down and curling it will not help. Have you ever operated one of these machines in two feet of snow?

  • @StoptheLies1 have you ever seen a grapple skidder? much bigger tires and we have chains on them as well as our loaders and if i can curl my way out of the bush in 2 feet of mud he can do it in snow on a city street

  • DOS need to re-train these guys...no wonder they got laid off...

  • Guess the City will be spending a good amount of money for snow/tire chains real soon if this kind of snowfall is repeated

  • Put the bucket on the ground and curl it down to pull yourself forward ahole. This is the incompetents that costs a million dollars an inch to clean the streets of NY each year.

  • Union MOB Monopoly... can't fire overpaid morons.

(hint... tire chains work well on ice)

  • I just want to know what camera was used for the making of this video?

The 1080p leads me to believe perhaps Canon T2i (?)

Very clear image even at 360p.

    THUMBS UP!

  • Guy's like "Can I get a push"
