It still doesn't beat Live At The Rainbow '74. My god the guitar solo on White Queen...OH MY GOD THE GUITARSOLO ON WHITE QUEEN!!! *shakes everyone who reads this hysterically*
@spamhead2k Just so it's clear...what ThisIsKuroCat was referring to was Queen's mind blowing performance at Live Aid at Wembley Stadium in 1985 (10 years after this show). I am pretty sure It was meant as a compliment of respect and appreciation and not a tasteless joke. :)
i saw this tour at the santa monica civic auditorium. it was the second time they came to the west cost and the first time on the west coast was the black queen white queen. they had an earlier tour but got hep and had to cancel in new york. i never saw an entire audience worship a band like they did the night of this show. the civic is a two thousand seater. mahogany rush opened and we were trippin big time. drum corps.
to jmrdwho....fuck off...queen and all their songs are for generations to follow. they are the ultimate forms of music. love freddie and queen forever.

Sorry, but queen isn't "music". They only wrote songs like "We are the champions" or "The Show must go on". That's in my eyes no music, because that are songs for a party or kids. Music is Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, The Who, Vanilla Fudge, Canned Heat or The Doors.
@JMRDWHO I know quite a bit about led zeppelin, and i'm a huge fan but all i'm saying is that most of their songs were written by other people...you seem to be the one who doesn't know much...they've been sued many times for copyright
@snloftus End of the sixties, they have covered some songs, but even if they have completely changed (Psychedelic). Only with Whole Lotta Love (Led Zeppelin II), they have had success and since then also covered songs no more. They wanted just the beginning they were considered, as well as attachments even the "Rolling Stone" in the 60 'has.
@JMRDWHO you forgot "when the levee breaks" "babe i'm gonna leave you" "nobody's fault but mind".... look up "never" by moby grape="since i've been loving you"....'watch your step" by bob parker="moby dick" and led zeppelin was far from a psychedelic band...queen had more originality than zeppelin but it's pointless to compare because they are both great in different aspects
@JMRDWHO are you slow? i clearly said no...look this is stupid. you may like led zeppelin more than queen, which is fine, but that is not a valid reason for why they are better than queen. next time you want to argue a point bring factual evidence to the table to support your claim...and you can't tell if a band is psychedelic by reading books...you have to see them live, led zeppelin ( like queen) are in the genre of hard rock, hell the beatles are more psychedelic than zeppelin
@JMRDWHO Queen wrote all their lyrics and wrote all their music.
Roger Daltrey of The Who said that Freddie was at the top with his vocals and Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin said that everyone, including Plant, had to lower the notes during the Freddie Mercury tribute concert. Robert Plant sang Queen's song "Innuendo" during Freddie's tribute concert.
when you're first in love you'd have notice that it feels like an aggressive wave of electricity or something is coming on you. that's what queen make me feel. unfulfilled desire for something invisible. HOW CAN THEY???
only regret is that i never got 2 enjoy them live..and never will, best band ever! best singer ever, guitarist, drummer, bassist! it gets no better, from america!!
Of course you feel the instruments should be a bit louder, that voice could drown out a drum solo, lol! Love you Freddie, and I miss you dearly! We need more classics like yours!
@annacramful he was sexy hotttt....he gave his all when he performed from the heart....and he lived life to the fullest, which unfortunately killed him.
And Queen was inspired by KISS. KISS started the inspiration for several famous arena rock bands to use pyrotechnic effects on stage. KISS started the fireworks--and then, Queen responded very big to this. The opening number starts off with the arena being black except for spotlights on Freddie Mercury...and you think the whole song will be that way...until you get the pyrotechnic surprise at 1:58...pyro explodes and the stage lights light up full blast, as well as well as the Queen rock!
when they still had real guts and character before they became a joke,, i was so so so so drunk when this was shown on tv,, oh my God,, it was mental !!!!
@eelpieballox Became a joke what the heck are you babbling about? Have you ever seen Queen's 25 minute performance live at Whemblyfor Live Aid in 1986? That is considered one of Queen's and Freddie's most spectaular performances, and Freddie was already sick. He wasn't as sick he would become, but he still gave one of the most incredible live performances ever, and many of the other greats that were there, said the same thing. They were never a joke to me, but thats me.
Two dislikes? Am sure not from Rhiana or Justin Bieber! Anyone with any sense of music would be sincerely grateful that Queen had been around. Freddie mesmerized the audience with his 4 octave range voice and back up with Brian, Roger and John...pure magic~I was lucky to see them once.
Such a musical genius and a personality like no other, wish he could have stayed with us longer, no telling what other gems Queen would have produced, such a shame.
