just search emmet, & go to the link. anyone can download it. it takes about 30 minutes to do so. download the mpeg4 file for best quality.

Have downloaded lots of audio from archive an I doing something wrong here or has the dl been disabled ?? unsure.. Would LOVE to be able to share the original with my grandchild..well I want to see it too :) .... I have the newer version, the vhs copy died years ago.... The un-Kermit version just WRONG !!! @littlewingmel No, this is not a fake, you used to be able to download this "fan edit" at the website, and i tried... there are legal limitations, first, you must own an ORIGANAL copy of the movie WITH kermit... but i did have trouble downloading it... if ANYONE can figure where and HOW to get this... Boycott Lionsgate films. they bought the rights to this and disabled all the songs from the internet. They make crap movies anyway!!!!

@Jerseyboy7997 Well, see, Lionsgate (which acquired the rights to release non-Kermit/non-Sesame Henson material) has managed to do what HIT originally couldn't do with its Henson releases: get the rights to use Kermit, Big Bird, etc. (Recent releases of Dog City and Henson's Place, for example.) If Lionsgate ever puts out their own Emmett Otter release, there's a good chance they'd get Kermit. If they were wise, they'd look up fan edit dot org and put out an edit following the same parameters.

I support piracy fully and wholly! How come now that it can be electronically tracked, its a big deal? No one gave a shit when people taped stuff off the radio, and passed around cassette tapes. And noone gave a crap when the 80s brought around VHS tapes to record movies! Sometimes its the only way to to get new cool stuff to viewers who'd normally not see it.

Boy, H.B.O. sure could pick em back in the days!! the specials of the 80's pretty much shaped my life to a certain degree.Emmet Otter is a staple of Christmas at my home. I was privilaged to have H.B.O. back in 1980 !!!

I went to fanedit site and downloaded the cover art for this film but cannot seem to find a url to download the film. It has 5 excellent reviews so maybe I'm not understanding how to navigate the site or perhaps Philfrog has taken the video off the site? I really would love to see it as Emmet Otter Jug Band Christmas is one of my childhood favorites. Any suggestions?

Does anyone know where this can be found? It's no longer on fanedit. Every time they release a new version of this on DVD I buy it hoping it will be what I used to watch on HBO, and I'm consistently disappointed.

I found the DVD at a Video Rental place. I ahd seen it IN FULL when it was on HBO way back when. My Partner had never seen it, so we rented it..and HE LOVED IT!! [Ma Otter reminds us of his mother, not only in voice but also in her demeanor]

Edit Otter! Great idea to put all the parts together. I have bought every version dating back to the original VHS release and have been continuously disappointed to see more and more parts get cut out. The last 2008 release with the new artwork is the exact same disc from 2005... I wish they would just pay the extra money and get Kermit back! I would pay big money for a 100% complete Blu-Ray release, but the current DVD releases are only worth HALF OF FIFTY CENTS.... :P

Kermit was sold to Disney. So rather than pay Disney to use him they just cut out all his parts.

I'm assuming that someone is making their own edit, combining footage from both versions to make the longest version ever, and has made a trailer for it. I bought (and recommend buying) the official DVD, but I look forward to this version, too. Not sure how it's being distributed....
