What a delightful, unique, brilliant, captivating slant you put on that piece. May I plagiarize . .uh . borrow. . imitate it into some of my ad lib? Yes, I know, Visa, Master Card, Discover gladly accepted, right?
Hi there. And I would be touched and delighted if you used this for anything! I have a version on my album "Maimonides Pops" See CD Baby for downloads. Enjoy and don't forget to subscribe and click on as many of my ads as you can! @jimjiminy2001
@theman9126 Hi there . . . I wish I knew . . . there was no opus number on the manuscript, although, being his most famous piece, I think it wouldn't be hard to WIKI this one! Thanks for dropping by!
OMG this is the song my boss plays in his Bentley except it has violins... if I ever get a mansion on Palm Beach or Manalapan or Miami Beach with a Steinway grand piano located between the dual spiral helix marble Scarface-style staircases I'm gonna hire you to play at my cocktail parties! lol hahaha j/k you're very good I'm trying to play this song on my crappy piano I can't even get passed the first part :(
Edwin, thanks for the reply. I wonder if you'd like to play Bach's Badinerie BWV 1067 on piano solo or BWV 1056 2nd mvt Arioso. Don't put pressure on yourself. I can wait for several months. By the way, I love your Czardas very much. Rare to find such high spirit and your unique body expression.
Edwin, I watched some of your videos. Thank you for sharing with strangers like me. I think you have a personality that attracts many friends. Why I comment here is someone said "minuet...which should be at a slower tempo,". I don't think so. Your intrepretation is very good to me. I like the vigor and the body expression. Slower tempo or faster tempo, it depends on one's mood. Don't be so rigid. Do you play J. S Bach's?
My friend, although, it's a marvellous performance which I'm certainly going to use to learn to play this fantastic piece of music by Luigi Boccherini, I have to say that you're playing it to fast for a piece of music which should be at a slower tempo, remember that minuet means " delicate and soft", that's my only comment. Wonderful performance, Congratulations, way to go, I'm learning from you!!!! Eduard.
Thanks very much. I appreciate the time you've taken to critique . . . I have played it at many speeds and I have read that today's performance times are markedly slower than mid-20th century efforts so that is why I chose a tempo that was (at least to me) mid-range. (See "Facing the Music" by Arnold Schonberg.)However I appreciate your words and will bear them in mind! Thanks a bunch.
You have very agile hands and this was played wonderfully! Watch out though; don't take your hand out to fast when you finish a sequence. It ends the note too sharply. You can legato there a bit more.
Awesome . . . . I really appreciate your critique. Despite my own legato take on the mid-section don't forget there was NO legato playing (unless specifically indicated) until AFTER the time of Mozart. Thanks for your excellent comment!
We're all good at our own stuff . . . You're probably more than twice as good at a lot of things than anyone else! Thanks for the compliment and have a great one!
Those sharp notes ... It was on a chilly winter afternoon I got that particular song for my homework. A couple of decades ago. Ah, like it was yesterday ... Thanks for bringing back the memories!
I need notes for this minuet.. all I could find on internet was either too simple or not for piano. Please help!
