I saw The Doobies in '79 or '80 at Riverfront with the girl i was engaged to. This song always reminds me of the love I left behind. Even though I'm happily married, I think about "what if"'and what would of became of us if would've "grown up". Oh, well, great song, even greater memories.
What a fine tune, one of those sad/sweet songs that brings memories and thoughts of better times ( like when you're a kid and immortal!!! ) Good guitar picking too.
Even after pop stations discovered this single's b-side, "Black Water", rock radio never stopped playing "Another Park Another Sunday" and it is without a doubt one of the coolest rock songs ever. That guitar tone is timeless and the vibes and harmonies are sublime...Cheers
remember when they were on What's Happening and Rerun had a tape deck in his coat, illegally bootlegging the show! haha, the show was a lesson and the band had speaking parts, funny. They didn't play this song but I have always loved it.
i was in that audience of this album cover taken in Germany. i can see myself. that was a surprise, but they said they may do a photo for the album that night. anyways...
@LovesTunes71 Me too, but everytime I find the studio version it gets taken down by YT. I love this song, it reminds me of the girl I almost married but didn't. What a price I paid for that mistake...
I saw this band at Cincinnati Riverfront Colesium in 1975 or 1976. At one point one of the guys said, "Before we go on I just wanna say you guys are really outta sight!"
Remember that term "outta sight" from the laste 60s and 70s? Haha.
Just found this on a whim! Was posted just yesterday. You might have put the "disclaimer" note above, as the "powers-that-be" might yank this fantastic song, like they have done before. If they do, it's also posted over on "Vimeo".
