The order you propose should be an interesting one! Seems to be a good balance of stages that are challenging but not dull without special weapons at the beginning, and the more common "first stages" toward the end when there are more goodies to play around with.
@GeminiLaser im very excited for ur MM7 run!^^ do u like freeze man in MM7? he is my favorite there, and skull man and freeze man has many things in common, for example both have catchy music, both can be tricky (esp freeze man), the boss chamber looks very similar (both have a dino skeleton in the background), did u also know that like skull man, freeze man DONT attack at start untill u do, but freeze man taunts u with his hand while standing xD u gotta mention that when u face him in MM7 ;)
@GeminiLaser You know there was supposed to be a Sphinx mini boss in PharaohMans stage, but they took it out during testing. Don't believe me? Look it up!
Good question! You'll notice a few different bosses who have vestigial arm cannons, but in this case, you'll notice that he fires a charged up shot from his arm cannon around 1:21; you might need to pause to catch it.
I was never that fond of the Retro Roto style; I always preferred the more articulated Jazwares figures. But, Pharaoh, Skull, and Drill would be excellent additions if you like the style. I'm happy to have a Drill Man figure from the cartoon show... :D
Mega Man 4-6 i sadly underrated and most people play Mega Man 1-3 for several years, play them maybe once or twice and then go "hey.. these suck". Why do they suck? I never heard a good case of why. Sure, all Mega Man games has their faults (just like you point out) but looking overall.. Mega Man 1-3 aren't more perfect than 4-6. I'm not sure of my favorite game and I enjoy them all.. I just think the nostalgic factor in 1-3 is too big on some people!
Aw, man--music to my ears! I think you're absolutely right that nostalgia plays a big part, specifically with 2-3 (I don't hear a lot of diehard fanboy love for MM1.
@GeminiLaser EXACTLY! Mega Man 1 probably doesn't get enough love since it seems like a test to me. You love MM4 the most, right? It's the same thing (That one is amazing, btw :3)
@GeorgVanHalen I have the most love for MM3, since it was the first game I ever played (and beat, at 4 years old!). I'm going to love it more than any other one, but most folks do have the nostalgia goggles on. All Mega Man games, even 7, are good! :3
Your command of caps lock is impressive, but it doesn't grant you the authority to make such demands. Check out my profile; I'll get there eventually...
@GeminiLaser I usually use Dust Crusher on the snail. Does decent damage, no charging, and, in my opinion, Dust Crusher doesn't get enough love. I also agree, MM4 is one of my favorite Mega Man games, along with 10.
That works well. Dust Crusher gets a lot of love on the fortress bosses, but you're right that it doesn't get used as much in general during the stages. Maybe the next time I play through, I'll hit Dust Man first and use his weapon a while.
Actually, Toadman has an interesting AI. If you shoot him all the time, to do damage as fast as possible, he will jump around. I got killed like that once or twice.
I'm surprised there wasn't a "NOW I'VE GOT YOUR POWER!" line said after pharaoh man was defeated, even though you pulled the "Super Fighting Robot, Megaman!" thing in the first video.
I've got a USB adaptor for an SNES controller that works about 15% of the time, but I wasn't aware there was an actual USB NES controller--I might need to check that out!
Hah! No worries. Besides, Dust Crusher and Mega Buster are almost interchangeable with Skull Man because the firing pattern of both is the same, and you'll end up doing about the same amount of damage.
I did some research on Pharaoh Man and learned that he was built as an archaeological robot with very sensitive eyes, because he explores dark tombs. So in theory, Flash Stopper temporarily blinds him.
Y'know, I had to raise an eyebrow because Mega Man 10 is going to feature SHEEP MAN, but really, I guess Toad Man already beat them to the punch, so what am I complaining about?
I've been pretty fantastic, thank you! I've been juggling a lot more creative and geeky endeavors, so recording hasn't been as consistent as before, but all is well with the world. And I've got something majorly awesome to announce...check out my blog when it updates on Wednesday. :D
The way you talk about the Skull Man stage and how great it is (nonstop) reminds me of the QVC stuff my mother used to watch all the time. How much for the stage? >.>
Also, after beating Pharaoh Man.

Pharaoh shot rapes the Snail miniboss.
If you slide towards it, the fireball over your head hits the eyes, then you can shoot him with the charged shot that is still held.
In total you need 1 more charged shot to defeat it after that

zuschzero 1 year ago
Huh. I guess I rarely beat Pharaoh Man before Toad Man; I can't remember the last time I used Pharaoh Shot on the snail. Good idea.
