No, because the gun needs to have at least one round in the chamber to allow the slide to be in the closed position. If the shooter fires all rounds in the magazine, the slide will lock to the resting position because there isn't a round to be pushed into the chamber.

Which reality are you refering to? No where can I find that Davita or Tomassie are saying these are their carry rigs or the video applicable to defensive situations. I believe there are some videos of David Sevigny shooting IDPA with cover garmet and with equipment deemed tactical by that org. and winning the IDPA Nationals. Concerning "tailored" loads- you don't want to get shot with what they shoot- it will definited kill you. There are vids out there more to your want than this one, g'luck.

When I was a kid, I saw a farmer try to put down his water buffalo, gave it a few whacks with a 5-lb hammer on the back of the neck, the animal would have killed him if it were not tied. Another farmer stick it under the ear with seem like a fillet knife but long. One stick and the buffalo stopped and then buckled, dead.

You missed the point. Timed club shooting is fine - it's great sport. I carry a gun to defend my life. I can put all eight rounds (or seven or fifteen) on target - and I'm pretty confident that a reload will not be necessary. Shooting sports are a great way to practice and have fun - let's just not forget what the real purpose for carrying a weapon is.
well if you are up against multiple targets, and they are shooting back, are you positive that you can hit every one of them knowing that you are fighting for your life? you may miss and have to reload. so, you would want to be able to do it fast.

Not sure about IPSC rules. In USPSA magazine placement restrictions exist only in production and single stack divisions. Limited and Open divisions have no restrictions.
jake shoots USPSA which is a little different from IPSC. USPSA has a Limited Division while IPSC has a Standard Division. they aren't the same. USPSA allows mag pouches in front, IPSC Standard division doesn't.
Looks like a "2011" - a "wide body" version of a 1911 that uses a staggered column style magazines instead of a single column. The following manufacturers produce either complete guns or major components - STI, SVI/Infinity, Caspian, Para. In most cases these firearms require custom fitting to function reliably. These are the most prevalent guns in USPSA Limited and Open divisions.

I Think it's a Colt M1911 with synth grip or a Browning HP not sure but it looks more like the second one. there's no enough resolution for me to see it right...

wait... its againts the ipsc rules that the mag puch of standard divison is at your front it must be on you side ... thats for the open division..

Not sure about IPSC rules. In USPSA magazine placement restrictions exist only in production and single stack divisions. Limited and Open divisions have no restrictions.

jake shoots USPSA which is a little different from IPSC. USPSA has a Limited Division while IPSC has a Standard Division. they aren't the same. USPSA allows mag pouches in front, IPSC Standard division doesn't.

Looks like a "2011" - a "wide body" version of a 1911 that uses a staggered column style magazines instead of a single column. The following manufacturers produce either complete guns or major components - STI, SVI/Infinity, Caspian, Para. In most cases these firearms require custom fitting to function reliably. These are the most prevalent guns in USPSA Limited and Open divisions.
