I have one of the smart phones, the samsung behold, it has AWESOME battery life, When i have to get up at 6:30 AM for school i take it off the charger and put it in my pocket, Then on the bus after school i take it out. On screen keyboards are wack as hell! You can't do simple freakin' shortcuts with them. With the G1 you can highlight a whole line or a whole paragraph just by holding down the ALT button and moving the track ball. You can cut, paste, copy without hassle. hero roms have multitouch and flash 9 support. android will get flash 10 as early as october.

my touch virtual keyboard sucks.... i returned my mytouch twice already... the buttions on the bottom (spacebar...) and the letters on the right of the keyboard are not responsive what so ever. im thinking about getting the g1 because im a texter and the virtual keyboard (on this phone) isnt for some one who likes to text... tmobile needs to step their game up. the iphone has a much more responsive keyboard.

It's not that T-mobiles 3g isn't fast, which it is. Mainly because in most areas 3g network doesn't cover every area. My g1 gets a strong 3g signal all the time when i'm outdoors but when I'm in buildings, little to no chance.

can't compare the 3GS and the MYtouch - it's personal preference. when I have every single app as the iphone, and customization beyond what any smartphone on the global market can offer - not to mention a plethora of widgets, and open source 3rd party support /apps/addons/themes - it's an easy choice for me. I'm sure the iphone has many points of contention for being a quality phone but i'm going to root this phone & load up the HERO SENSE UI, best smartphone OS, period. the beauty of android
