  • LOL Fox News....36 years before the idea for Fox News Channel was ever thought of.

  • PIP PIP MOTHER F'ER!

  • He reads Fox News? No wonder he's such a stiff!

  • 4:38 xd

  • Who's got my bone?..... BOOM!!!

  • All those hurt and injured dogs! Can we send them to Michael Vick and Bad Newz Kennels? Mr. Vick will take good care of them, believe me.

  • at 3:35 homer simpson jerk butt

  • Which miserable git gave this the thumbs down? Bloody sourpuss!

  • You know what? I'm Jolly.

    .....Pip, pip.

  • I love those 2 bumos at 5>18. The smile the dog makes afterwards reminds me of Nappo's from Les Kangoo.

  • so nobody got the "fox news" joke? i thought it was kinda funny..

  • One of the hunting dogs disliked this video.

  • Also, I think this fox might have subconsously inspired a character of MINE whos a fox.

  • You know, one thing I always thought- if Droopy gets one steak for each fox, and in the end, he himself has a steak, that must mean one fox didn't want his...

  • @battybuddy The extra steak was for a job jolly well done! O_o

  • @BobHershey Yeah, good point. I guess that many foxes deserves a bonus steak.

  • 7:01

as they say in america... Are you kidding?

  • priceless

  • LOL! Droopy found a his similar!

  • god i love tex avery

  • and this is for you!

  • thank you from the bottom of my heart cause i love this episode more than any other cartoon in the world and missed seeing it and wondered if i would ever see it again. lol

  • this fox is so sophisticated :)))

  • J'adore !

  • The actual ruppert murdoch Media empire TV channel FOX News is named after the numerological meaning of the word FOX: 666. CF. Skull &Bones

  • apparently 1 person doesn't like droopy

  • I haven't seen this in almost 30-years.

  • 6: 33 hahahahahahahahahahahahah lol

  • ♥ .

  • FOX News did not exist in 1949. The paper Mr Fox is reading in the cartoon was a leftist satirical newspaper criticising the police state of the Macarthist dogs of that time... Also Mr Reginald fox cannot be a Tea partier because he is British!

  • @reggiefox: I think that the name "Fox News" is supposed to be a pun on the word "fox" given that Reginald is a fox. It was probably also a coincidence that it was named "FOX News".

  • 1:50 Not only does he follow Fox News, he's also a tea partier. Thanks @jupitusphillip

  • At 4:39, that dog does Bill Hanna's Tom scream from "Tom & Jerry!"

  • Too bad Reginald didn't live nowadays - at 7:35, some cellphones would have helped the brother out!

  • Man, this is so good

  • That was awesome.

  • lol at 4:38

  • "Hello, Mr. Fox. Now can I catch you?"

"As they say in America: ARE YOU KIDDIN'?!"

  • That fox is just so icy chill. Love him

  • 6:41 - damn those matches were awesome, you could light then on scratching by the teeth.

  • The fox's leitmotif (theme song) is "Now is the Month of Maying," an old English madrigal.

  • Tex is always worth the time to watch.

  • at 7:05 - "As they say in America - are you kiddin'? Love it!

  • there's nothing like the classics

  • droopy wants to lay off the weed

  • I've seen this cartoon only once in my life before! I remember whenever I go to the video store, I see a video cassette with 7:10 on the cover. I thought it was Screwy Squirrel!

  • "You know what...haste makes waste." aint it the truth Droopy

  • FOX NEWS.

  • @conoba LMAFO they didn't have FOX news when this was made maybe Rupert needs to pay royalty to MGM.

  • did you say steak...

  • haha never ending cup of tea..

  • Of course. All English foxes can summon tea infinite times a day as an At-Will Ability.

  • So I assume that glove conjuring was an encounter power?

  • @Titan360 - On Jackie Gleason's old variety shows, he would do his monologue while sipping on "tea" from a cup. Wonder if Jackie and Reginald hooked up and compared notes?

  • I love that every fox has a monocle

  • Damn. Now I gotta craving for a medium-well New York Strip with A-1 sauce with a side of whipped potatoes, green peas, and a tall glass of sparkling grape juice.

  • ah the perfect british stereotype, how fitting for a hunting cartoon

  • I got a fox! OOh OOh a OOh... lorl

  • Love how the dogs (except fpr Droopy) 'speak,' particularly when they give our hero the instructions w/ the dynamite @ 5:53.

  • Droopy should be the spokesdog for Prozac. lol.

Ahh, I miss seeing good ol' cartoon violence.

  • @LikaLaruku - Funny thing (or not-so-funny thing) is that they edit the violence out of cartoons like this because it's supposed to give young kids trauma, but then you turn off the set, walk out in the street, get shot for no reason, and people just shrug their shoulders and keep walking. Odd, ain't it?

  • @WSenator1 and what about rap artists spreading on TV their gang violence, gang way of dressing, racism, materialism, pimp way of living, drug culture etc, etc,

  • @matatan69 - agreed: depressing

  • foxes = best animals in the planet, the fox in this cartoon is no exception XD

  • "as they say in america are you kidin" i laughed so hard at that part it wa soooooo funny =D

  • I never remembered Droopy being that small was he a puppy or something?

  • This fox is one of the coolest characters ever.

  • @loksyn ya i agree

  • @loksyn did you see the fox from courage the cowardly dog? hes pretty cool too...if he dont take off his glasses

  • can i catchyew?

  • 1:48

    Fox News

    lol.

  • kyuubi

  • I didn't hear the 7th dog's name at first. For a second, i thought I heard the dog's name was Huslter. lol

  • Thanks For Dropping The Nostalgia Bomb

  • I love the way the fox is pouring tea out of the teapot all the way back to the kennel master.

  • hiliarous thanks!

  • this cartoon makes me glad to be a fox furry.

  • Fox News in 1948----ROFL!

  • like us foxes read it.

  • One of my favorite shorts! Thanks for posting!!

  • I love it when the dog swallows the explosive bone. The aftermath ALWAYS makes me laugh my ass off!

  • Anyone ever wonder how much tea is in that tea cup? I love this cartoon! Thanks a million! :-)

  • 1:48 the 1st fox news LOL

  • always wondered what breed Droopy was meant to be?

  • Droopica Comi-Canis

  • My guess is a basset hound. long drooping ears, and short legs.

  • For once, a cartoon that isn't anti-fox

  • the old man looks like he was buttkicked since a little child :))) 0:55

  • I remember hearing that the British government recently banned fox hunting.

  • Oh lurd, I remember this one! Thanks for uploading! (Man, I feel old, lol).

  • PRESENT. LOL.

  • FOX NEWS!

  • The fox reminds me of Johnny Depp :)

  • @equistrax lol ya

  • @equistrax he does, never thought of it, but he does.

  • Droopy! "Present"

  • cartoons where so violent back then

  • i wish they were still violent

  • amusingly violent, I may add

  • i got firefox i got firefox i got firefox :P can i get 2 steaks now?? :D :))))

  • He closed it off because of many copyright issues involving vintage TV commercials.

  • I love Droopy. Wish this stuff was still on Cartoon Network.

  • In my opinion, the fox sounds like Ronald Coleman. I recently saw his role in 1937's "The Prisoner of Zenda."

  • yes, it's a vocal impression of Ronald Colman. Colman's voice was also the inspiration for the Toucan Sam mascott for the Froot Loops cereal commercials. Daws Butler is doing his Ronald Colman impression.

  • @ACcountryFan - and if you remember the old "King Leonardo" TV cartoons, the King's loyal aide, Odie, speaks in Colman's voice as well.

  • The fox reads a paper titled FOX NEWS... remember: this was YEARS before some chap named Rupert Murdoch started a TV/print/cable/satellite network.

  • FOX News... LOL.

  • More specifically, for those not aware where it's found... it's the 1:47 mark.

  • @StukInBuf The fox should sue Murdoch for copyright violation!

  • The fox sounds a little like Paul McCartney, and watch the way he moves his lips, hear his British accent and his lovely cup of... ENGLISH TEA!

  • Of course the cute bit is "As they say in America--Are you kiddin'?"

  • Pause exactly at 6:34 LMAO!!!

  • i did that and LOL, looked like a ball for a muzzle!!

  • Love Droopy but I gotta give the Fox his proper dues.

  • Droopy is so polite... "pardon me Mr Fox, but will you get in my bag so that I can catch you

?" Why don't they make these cartoons no more?

  • it reminds me like fox mccloud (from starfox) but fancy way

  • ive got a fox ive got a fox lol

  • how u shoot ur own hand

  • Remember...this is a TEX AVERY cartoon...the master of things that can happen only in cartoons. 'Nuff said!

  • classic funny ass shit

  • Omg i cant stop laughing !How come i didnt laugh so much when i was a kid?too bad they removed it from cartoon network:-(

  • remember when we where kids the attention given to this type of cartoons was less than now...

  • I LMAO at the brick bit! XD

  • i love this kind of cartoon! funny

  • i agree. i mean seriously, what is adult swim doing on cartoon network?

  • killer: 'what is adult swim doing on cartoon network?'

The same reason that there is still reality television.

Because there's no class in TV today. ;)

  • Aw, I love Droopy. Wish this stuff was still on Cartoon Network.

  • They still show on Boomerang but most are edited in some form or fashion. They remove anything that's not politically correct these days.

  • yeah i know what u mean by all this removing, they do it on tom and jerry as well, and i was watching it the other day and thought why has there been scenes missed out? its because of all these mothers or other people complaining cartoons are too violent, these cartoons are classics and have been out for years!!!!

  • Word out brother!!! like whatever happened to that shotgun wedding part in red hot riding hood?

  • Are you sure you're not tallking another Hot Preston Blair Girl short? 'Cause I'm pretty sure I've seen totally unedited versions of RHRH. If the suicide is left in, why not a shotgun wedding? BTW I know the SCENE you're talking about, I'm just not certain it was in that specific cartoon.....

  • You mean politically CONVENIENT , right ? This is called fascism , by the way ...

  • I liked seeing the fox's getting the upper paw as they say.

  • @gobearsnfl . good humor is edited from cartoons because its is not "politically correct" , but why then do the same TV people allow gangsters rappers on TV, they are the most politically incorrect thing a child can view at, not only do they glorify the gang culture they also glorify materialism, hate, drugs and women depreciation.

  • @gobearsnfl

    Was this one edited?
