  • This is two songs by Hank. "Singing Waterfall" and "Jambalaya"

  • Lay off the drugs man!

  • I love this version!

  • And if you can scare up a copy of the Residents Daydream B Liver album you can hear a rare outtake of "I'm so lonesome I could Cry" and another rare hank Williams tune called "Dear Brother" Amazing!!!!!

  • Interesting. Covers of this tune tend to shoot for preservation of the "joie de vivre" Louisiana life offers. This is probably the only one I've heard that so dramatically alters the very spirit of the song, making it sound more like and ode to alienation than good times a-rollin'. I like it anyway.

  • Absolutely the best version of Jambalaya ever.

  • :) wonderful...........................:)

  • This is from the Stars and Hank Forever indeed, i have this on a white vinyl.

  • me too.

  • minor edit, this was first released on the American Composers series, "Stars and Hank Forever" George and James was the next. (George Gershwin and James Brown)

  • yup, this is. it's my fav song of that album. thanx for posting.

  • @nicademus666 George and James came first. Stars And Hank was the follow-up actually.

  • Best version of this song ever recorded!

  • i cant believe this song just popped into my head after all these years. It haunted me as a kid. Oh, and there is no god

  • Thank you so much for putting this up.
