more with Lord of the Rings than with Requiem for a Dream. Try

listening to the version used in LotR, "Requiem for a Tower" it does

have a more "epic" feeling because a choir and full orchestra has been

added to it. It really depends on what version you listen to, I think.

Anyway, Clint Mansell is truly a genius for composing this, there is nothing out there this awesome, and it is, shall I say it? I should.......EPIC!

And I've introduced this song in it's original version and requiem of a dream soundtrack version to a couple of people and they all said the same thing: " wow, so moving and epic, makes me think like I'm some epic hero etc. etc. " Like I said, it's all about your personal life experiences. If your life has been fine or, at the very least haven't seen "requiem of a dream", then you won't have those so called dark feelings/images in your mind. In fact, not everyone who've seen ROD can truly absorb the mood and message of the film. This music, as with any piece of music, puts me into a mood, the mood I get from this piece, or any variation of it is just the feeling of the lulling, continuous drone of participating in everyday life, same drill, every day. And it's just not depressing, it's something more, it has a way of building up to something more, after the repetition, it's SO WONDERFUL!
