Big key: reduce military spending. USA spends 6.5 times more on military than then next most country, China and China has a population 5 times the size of US. Surely the US can keep it's citizens safe with say twice the spend of China? That would free about $600 billion to spend on things that people want!

As a Ron Paul supporter & contributor, I attended several Ron Paul rallies.
Then when the Tea Parties started I attended one of them & you are right - what was mostly displayed was hate & of course there was a picture of Barack with a Hitler mustache, and most of the people seemed to be bigots or racists.
Overall, it was just a lower level of people - so I haven't been back.
