  • Alan Munde the best banjo player that ever lived? That's a mighty strong statement there, BanjoBen, which I happen to agree with 100 percent! (Great pickin' you're doing, by the way!)

  • That banjo has a really nice tone, and i like how the 5th string goes all the way up the neck.

  • hell yeah!!

    i need to learn banjo!

  • Sounds very Munde-ish, btw, what kind of banjo is that?

  • wow!

  • I stay with Janet Davis, she was my teacher.

  • Does she charge you rent, or what?

  • Nice job! keep it up.

  • You certainly did Alan justice with Redwing. I'm sure he would be very proud of your playing.

Also, you are right. Alan is one of the very best banjo players that ever lived.

  • Cool! You ought to check out my vocal arrangement!

  • Nice work. Very entertaining!

  • Great work! I am learning this version out of Alans Banjo Solos book right now. Sounds fantastic. I have met Alan a few times at the IBMA;s and take lessons from Tony Trischka. Alan is definately one of my favorites...you pick it great

  • OOps! I mean Banjo Ben! Sorry. I have an old Country Gazette album with a tune on it called "Money in the Mail." Pretty funny.

  • Do you do requests Banjo Bob? How about "Hamilton County Breakdown?"

  • I will work on HCB for you! Thanks!

  • Excellent job Banjo Ben! What a privalege to have Mr. Munde for a teacher. He is THE most underated banjo player alive in my opinion.

  • i want to let u know one thing, neither bela fleck or allan munde is the best banjo player. Its all about EARL SCRUGGS!!!!!

  • I agree with that for sure....Alan is one of my favorites though.

  • what about bela fleck as the best banjo player

  • Excellent. Is your banjo a Nechville? It has a wonderful sound.

  • It's actually a homemade job made from Gibson parts I ordered from the factory and First Quality Music. The fingerboard is actually cut from a Fender Telecaster blank, meaning that the scale-length and radius is the same. As far as the sound, it actually has a t-shirt stuffed inside so that it won't feed back on me on stage. It's normally twice as loud!...Thanks for listening and the compliment!

  • where is the 5th string

  • the 5th string runs underneath the fingerboard starting at the 5th fret and comes out at the peghead, so that all 5 tuners are on the peghead...it has it's pluses and minuses...thanks for watching!

  • Very nice !

  • Thanks for informing me. I forgot to tell you that you did a real good job on Red Wing. Alan has always been one of my favorite banjo players And judging from your playing must a top teacher as well.
