Nvidia keeps claiming that the graphics pumped out by the Tegra 2 are on par with high-end consoles like the PS3 and Xbox 360. Any console user can see that this is clearly not the case. The frame rate, shaders, and polygon count in this demo are noticeably inferior. I think that Nvidia is making good strides but to make these types of obviously false claims in order to hype their product only serves to discredit their marketing efforts. They should stick to the facts.

tegra 2 is a dualcore mobile proccessor up to 1GHz, with a graphical unit built in. I think it would be better if they take the graphical unit out of it and make something like geforce mobile as a chip appart from the processor it would be much faster

it would be a good idea to put this in the psp 2, but a mobile cell chip has been talked about alot when the psp is discussed. however no direct rumour of performance even named a company or type of chip. it would make sense for this to be the chip because its obviously capable of getting low end ps3 graphics. but i sony had problems with heat in the dev kits, would this chip have that problem? it looks very refined and is being put into phones right now. so i dont know. but phone arent psp's

So Tegra 2 is also for the Motorola Olympus for early 2011. Gonna be disappointed a bit if the gpu power of the PSP2 for Q4 2011 is just a tegra 2 since there won't be much surprise :(

The PSP was like no other in terms of graphics on a portable gaming machine during its early times. Might not be the case with the PSP2 with all the current competition. Come on Sony! Prove me wrong and WOW us :(

Tegra 2 in AC100 android laptop does 27 fps in Neocore, which is very weak compares to Galaxy Tab with 53 FPS on Hummingbird.

@nraudigy Did you not read my last comment? That AC100 is android, it's not optimized for tegra. Android is Optimized for Cortex architecture. The processors in the droids are TiOmap. They have the most computation power but rank lower than the humminbird in Android because the TiOmaps arent cortex architecture, just like the Tegra2 processors.

Wonder if they will do a new demonstration comparing this to 3DS Resident Evil. Those graphics are more in line with Unreal Tournament 2k3 and not Unreal Tournament 3. If this is Unreal 3 engine it is SEVERELY scaled down. It's not that impressive of a demo. Show Gears of War running on it or Bioshock.

the only difference a small screen makes is that you don't really need HD resolutions as standard 480p will look amazing, this is going to look good compared to the DS, right around GameCube visuals

Cyberia was another game which surpassed the ds in the graphics department which is purely technical and not be confused with visuals which is how appealing a game looks to your eye. rendering the much smaller and low detial environments of a ds game wouldn't be a problem for a highend pc form 1994.

WTF, people keep saying that it's like a gamecube. In real life it can go up to a 1GHz dual core, with 1GB RAM(DDR2). The original tegra looked on par with the PS2, this can be 4x that, maybe 2x the wii, about 60-75% the 360.
