Actually the constitution limits government. It sets what power government has. This bill IS unconstitutional because if mandates that everyone has to buy insurance and if you don't buy it you will be fined. This isn't going to put an end to corporate greed or anything else that you mentioned. In fact it's probably going to make it worse because they mandated that the insurance companies get around 30 million new customers. Take that big corporations.

However, "insuring domestic tranquility" and "promoting the general welfare" does not mean forcing it's people to abide by ways the government thinks they should live, it means creating and protecting the ability for people to benefit themselves and live their lives as they see fit.
Yeah, i'm sure the founding fathers had a vested interest in health insurance companies and all these wealthy folks that didn't exist yet.
