I ran into the Salsa Mia website some time ago (which looks great, by the way), saw your syllabus, and realized we might need your help in the future with some variations we've never seen before, such as "Abajo de Verdad".
@medianochesalsa "Abajo de Verdad" in particular is a move usually called in rueda where all the couples are doing the move abajo but moving in a clockwise direction around the rueda. The guys normally step back on 5, 6, 7 and the girls will follow.
yes I'm sure ...if you look carefully the early videos are much simpler and then as they get more complicated the bald patch is getting bigger and the feet seem to be growing as well . I was just wondering if the 2 are linked some how ?
It's executed at 0:18, right after the outside turn to hammerlock. Heh, that's the name it was dubbed when it was taught to me, since the leader's right forearm "cuts" the follower's neck... like a guillotine.
No special name. Just an exhibala with a self enchufala.
Usually elements here get the name of a variation they came from. For me the "guillotine" is the element of "sombrero por debajo largo". But that's just me.

Finally got this vuelta down after some careful review.
What's the name of the turn after the guillotine? I keep forgetting that one.
Thanks for posting.
