Hi,Im a counsellor in the UK and I agree with what you are saying here.However, I do feel that life experience outweighs anything I could learn in a classroom.Obviously I found my training extremely valuable and essential but I feel true compassion really comes from having experience of whats its like to be in a situation where you require counselling. Im not ashamed to admit I had counselling when I was younger and I think it has helped me become a better counsellor today. Anyway, great video.
