HCBailly, are you going to at least show off the animations for those Mana Bursts? And maybe even the second level ones? Because Rosch's looked pretty cool, and I'm curious how over the top they'll get with the final abilities. JRPGs love their over the top attack animations after all.

@RyuuSeichi Well, Stocke's involves pushing an opponent out of the grid itself, hitting the enemy several times, then slamming it back into the grid.

So yeah, the final Mana Bursts definitely have over the top animations.

That figures... they show the actual Black Chronicle on-screen, possibly the actual wielder of it, and it gets two sentences of dialog. I know they're trying to build stuff up, but it was immediately cut off to fight a giant spider only to then totally forget about it.

There's actually a good reason why video games use purple instead of black for most sprites. Look at Breath of Fire 2 and how Nina has PURPLE wings yet the entire time she's shunned for having BLACK wings. I don't know the exact reason, but I'm positive it is because it is better visually.

That one scene in historia where the two children there mention that Stocke can escape to historia kind of disproves that one theory you mentioned a while back in one of the episodes that a comment left you about the white chronicle just giving premonitions about what could happen. That means that this is all happening and Stocke should technically be aging, but it is a JRPG about time travel. I will just go with what I go with in D&D if something has no explanation. A wizard did it.

ps, something i been wondering for awhile... why do you run form the barrels before you blow them up, they don't effect you

@Zeofolium They deal 30 damage to all party members. Early in the game, that's quite a bit, but later, it's really insignificant damage.

HC is already at the point where the explosions don't really do a whole lot. I guess it bothers his OCD, or something. He usually likes to keep all party members at max HP whenever he can.

Purple accents or auras are generally used around black items/outfits when it's around colors other than white. Basically to show that it's not just something that happens to be black. It has a piece o POWA.

Radiant Historia starts off really original and exciting, but the ending, um, not so much.

It's rather amazing the number of times it's been done in anime and video games. Staggering, even.

Raynie's use does dissipate towards the end, but Marco is a good cahracter to have, even in the final battles. Still, to me, Rosch holds the position as worst character in the game,since he only uses physical attacks and does not have any support moves nor all the assaults.

@lecmg Ironic you say that, since I used Rosch in the final battle.

Rosch gets at least 200 more HP than any other character, and perhaps the highest defense out there, so I thought it would be a good idea.

Suffice to say, I was at least 20 - 30 levels more than you need to beat the final boss, and I still had a hard time.

My other character was Eruca, who has the defenses of a paper bag.
