Wonderful performance, but I have never liked this part of the story. Obviously the Mouse King was a better fighter than the Nutcracker and would have won had Clara not cheated and helped him. But then I guess there wouldn't have been a second act. :)

It touching to see little boys do the part of the mice and the soldiers. it gets boring after a while to see company dancers that are like 5 feet tall do those parts.

Very true. They are actually all little girls, but your point is well taken. This is such a fun role for these little dancers, who average 9 - 11 years old.

Likeed those soilders got so much more dance then and I love that all the little mice and soilders fight everyone we never fought the little mice we fought the big ones which become dangerous and them picking us up was no fun.....some were nice others just threw you cause htey had more to do

Great choreography! Very inventive little touches added. It added a little spice to a ballet that can become routine and lose it's lustre. I would have loved to see this in person.
