gta iv is processor intensive. even a 8800GT could easily run it on high,as long as you have a decent cpu to back it up i.e. AMD Athlon II 3ghz and higher/Intel C2D 3Ghz

Modern warfare 2: 5850-30fps on ultra, 260m-40.  Pretty much every game follows that trend. So no, the mobility radeon 5850 is not faster.

@ZebbeSebbe each has its uses, one isn't particularly better then the rest. Personally I prefer the M17x, but the M15x is nice because it's cheaper and more portable. The M11x is even more portable (and more affordable). Depends on how you use the computer.

@ZebbeSebbe if you specifically want to play GTA IV you need the M15x or M17x, the game is very demanding and won't play well on the M11x. So if you need power and you want to spend less then get the M15x, with some solid graphics and don't speed a ton on the processor. Start off with a bit less RAM and then upgrade later on. I think you will be more than happy wit the M15x if you get the right graphics card to suit your needs. Go Core i5, not i3

Recent bench tests by the m15x comunity have actualy proven the ATI 5850 is faster than the 260M and the ATI can easily be over clocked to the 5870 without any issues, in fact it is the same card but down clocked.

@david2007able well, the m15x is more portable then the m17x but if you dont intend going to friends houses or travelling then the m17x is good. however if ur like me and like going to peoples houses to show off ur sexy laptop, then i suggest you get the m15x as it is more portable. both are just as powerfull just the m17x has a 17inch screen and a numeric keypad where as the m15x has a 15 inch screen with no numeric keypad. its also cheaper. In my opinion, get the M15X, but its up to you.

Well, I'm taking out a 3 year payment plan for this laptop (given that I'll be using it throughout university, it's a worthy investment despite the ludicrous interest rate) so really my greater concern is which option would be more future-proof. Hi guys, I have had mine a 2 weeks, it is absolutely awesome. I got the 920 Ci7, 8GB RAM, 256 SSD, 1080p HD LCD, GTX260 1GB graphics. All I can say it was worth every cent I paid for it. I ran Mass Effect 2 full specs everything switched on and it went like goose shit of a shovel! Very fast would highly recommend it. Amazing.

I am happy for you to recommend some heavy graphic games and if priced ok will purchase them and try them out. I don't usually buy many games though.
