I was on last week's Heritage Train tour of the Jubilee Line, which included a visit to the old Charing Cross platform 3. It was much more packed than that though. I have to get round to editing and uploading my video footage.
Was this one of the "Starlight Express" heritage trains? It looks like it.
I lived in London in the summer of 1991, and early one Sunday morning, I caught one of them at Golders Green (my local station). That was a really special ride, and for a while, I was the only passenger in the carriage.
That would have been a 1959 train repainted in 1990 for the tube centeniry. it looked like a 1939 train. The 'Starlight express' trains were all withdrawn in 1988.
Where is details?))
