hey man i built your gun, costomized, added a opening top to it but the one problem i have at the moment is the elastic bands keep getting stuck round the sides of the bricks inside another is when it fires the elastic band and bullet get stopped when it starts going down the barrel!!! ive tryed loads of different combinations to build the roof but they keep getting stuck. it works with one bullet but no more.... :/ can you help please? awesome tutorial though :)

@toamastar15 So the rubberbands are preventing the bullets from entering the gun? If so when you load the gun make sure the rubberbands are out of the way.

@ikbenalex10 Well in the video i talked about rounding off the edges of some of the pieces, which helps prevent jams. That is probably your problem

Can I use smaller bricks with holes like 8x1 with holes instead of 10x1 with holes , because i am afraid the mech won't work ???

@NINJA9801 You can probably combine 2 smaller holed bricks so that it will work, you just have to make sure that there is a hole where an axle goes.

@Legogunguy001 Hey it's me again. I've been toying around with the gun, the mechanism mostly, and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it. The little piece you load the rubber band on catches the trigger piece every time i shoot, so i know it is not coming loose or anything like that. The only possible problem i could think of now would be the rubber bands. I am going to go get some size 16 bands soon, but i was wondering what should i do if the gun doesnt work even after i get new bands

@legogunguy001 I built the gun and it's awesome. My only problem is when I load my rubberbands and I shoot it, the brick fires, but all my rubberbands that I had loaded come off as well. For example: I have two rubber bands loaded in the mech, i pull the trigger, a brick fires and another brick moves up, but i cant shoot anymore because my other rubber bands come off. Im thinking it might be my rubber band strength, but not sure. Please Reply thanks...

@sqhowe Yes it has to do with the rubber bands, I use office depot size 16 rubber bands on this gun. If changing the rubberband does not help then make sure you built the mechanism correctly.

@legogunguy001 Yes i realize that. My idea is that an object inside the gun (With the assistance of some rubber bands or something) contains the force to propel the bullet out of the gun, and stay inside the gun, so that it can shoot the bullet each time. For example a piece inside the gun releases its pressure (Accumulated thanks to the rubber band/spring) to push the bullet out, then when the trigger is let go the object is forced back into the position where it can hit the bullet out. Eh?

@jackass2709 Did you polish down some of the pieces like I showed, and you may be using a rubber band that is too strong on the magazine, I use office depot size 16. Just make sure the rubber band is not to strong, that sounds like your problem.

Its a good mechanism, and I like the plunger for the mag, but if you could try to make a mechanism that doesnt require the rubber bands to be part of the reload, and once the gun is created the only requirement for shooting it multiple times is refilling the magazine. Ive got a few ideas on how to make one, but if you do also id like to hear them.

@VLTPBear5 well if you don't load rubber bands each time than it wouldn't be semi auto because you would have to pull something back every time you shoot 1 bullet. It isn't like a real weapon that each round contains the energy to fire itself.

Hey, i made it too and its amazing, but for example if i load it with 6 bullets + 6 rubberbands and i pull the trigger once, the gun shoots like 2 rubberbands at the same time, and only one bullet.. Do you now how to prevent it?

@MrArdyh You may be loading it wrong, open the gun up and shoot it with just rubber bands and see if you can figure out what is wrong

@MrArdyh Well if you want to fix it I recommend using office depot size 16 rubber bands, they work for me and they are about the perfect size for this gun.
