Fist of all, I have no problem against gay rights. Living in the San Francisco Bay Area (in which 8 out of its 9 counties voted No on Prop 8) I supported the No vote and thought that since it was pretty mutual where I lived, I thought it was going to work. I am truly disappointed on how it turned out.

Medavog! I am a fan and a subscriber and I have a question to ask: Why didn't California's State Assembly pass a civil union bill in the last years? As a gay man I wonder why a state tha is run by "progressives" and has a "Govinator" who would sign the bill, not pass a bill that would give these rights? In Oregon, as soon as the Democrats got both houses of the legislature, a civil union bill was passed and signed into law. Why not in California?

Mormons, being very highly religious, support their own ideas, whether others like it or not. However, I believe that insulting the Mormons and ridiculing their beliefs is wrong. We should not bring down their beliefs with degrading insults and attacks, but by reinforcing ours to outshine theirs. One of my best friends is Mormon and is undeniably a respectable person, even though he harbors different opinions about these matters.

I remember when Harvey Milk was killed. I was an awful thing. Your struggle is not unlike the Civil Rights struggle in the 60s. It will be hard work and won't happen overnight, but it will happen. These people who are haters will get theirs, if not here on earth, then in the next world. xo
