  • does not work on NES and SNES games why?!?

  • Nice guide. Keep up the good work.

  • I keep getting ERROR! (ret = -4100) in my wad manager

  • This doesnt work for everything, right?

  • OR jus google "Free the wads GUI" and do it without any command prompt...

  • thank you dude!!! SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 4 HERE I COME!!!! :D

  • Awesome video thanks for the help.

  • You use Windows XP, Any suggestions on how to use it on vista? (If you open CMD with vista, it goes to C> , not C: )

  • Thanks this helped alot :D

  • Cool video, really helped, I'm installing Monkey Island now, fingers crossed.

  • Thank you for your help! Since I'm already running CMDHere Powertoy the rest was a piece of cake and I was making region free wads in no time :D

  • is this for region free wads

  • when i open exe it closes

  • @shocwa You have to execute it as shown in the video via the command prompt. Clicking on the exe directly or dragging and dropping the WAD won't work.

  • It worked I did everyhing in the video but when I install the game it works and when I click on it , it won't load just gives me a black screen even after finishing! wtf

  • There is a possibility of the wad itself being corrupt, or it not working with freethewads.

Other than that, I don't know.

  • lol i can't believe that they still havent made a better program for it. sometimes selecting FREE will still make .wad channels say "This channel cannot be used".

Everyone is better off if you select YOUR REGION.

    thanks for the info! 5/5

  • my cmd prompt will not go to just C: Any suggestions?

  • Well, whatever is showing, just put the freethewads folder in that directory and follow the rest of the guide. The only reason I used C:\ was that I knew everyone on windows would have that directory.

  • <33333

  • mine says cannot open file freethewads

  • I'm actually experiencing the same problem.

  • hey morons!!!! the reason is because you did not put your freethewads folder in the ROOT OF YOUR C:/ DRIVE

either type out the whole path to the folder or, for simpler means, cut and paste your entire freethewads folder directly in the C:/ root (you should also see folders such as WINDOWS, Program Files, Documents and Settings, etc.

    best of luck!

  • excellent vid thanks :D

  • Thx dude

  • thanks alot

  • thanks

  • amazing video!

  • Brilliant. Thanks a bunch :)
