@Lokussapiens it did that because its a polish not a wax. polishes removes wax. meguiars nxt gen 2.0 wax will out shine any manufacturers shine any day. throw some of that on it.
SwirlX is a mild paint cleaner (M105>Ultimate Compound>ScratchX2.0>D151PRC>SwirlX>M205) So it might take more than one application (lighter pressure for each) to get the desired results, if after a 3rd or even 4th application you have not achieved the finish you would like, thats when you would want to maybe step up a level or two in aggressiveness.
Easier to remove paint than go back and add paint because you got too aggressice!
swirl x didnt work for me by hand, i dont have a buffer like you guys use, an orbital buffer kind of took them out, but had to repeat process several times. where can i buy a high speed buffer at? anyone knows lemme know.-)
It' s a clear coat safe micro-abrasive polish. It is mild so if it doesn't work on your paint you made need a more aggressive polish like their Ultimate Compound.
If you have a German car i.e BMW the paint will be hard so you will need a more aggressive polish. I'm not sure if Meguiars - Ultimate Compound will do the job but I have heard it's OK on VW paint which is also hard. Or just go for Menzerna Power Gloss (S100) which will get the swirls out of anything. Have said that you should always start with the least aggressive polish and work you way up until you find the one that works. That way your not removing too much paint.
hi,,,the 09 Aqua Blue Metallic Chevrolet Colorado has light scratches and swirls but not near as bad as the one in this clip...but I have heard of people using scratch-x 2.0 to remove these from the entire car although on the website swirl-x is recommended...so I guess I`ll get a bottle or two (might need 3-4 passes by hand.) : (
The NXT Wax would probably offer a temporary solution by filling in those swirl marks and making them less noticeable, however they will be visible again after a few washes or rain.
If you have a polishing machine(random orbital or dual-action), then definitely go for the SwirlX. Or if you are prepared to put some elbow grease into it, SwirlX will give a more permanent result by removing the swirls instead of just filling them.
In the first bucket, you have your car wash solution as normal. In the second bucket you have clean fresh water. First off you soak your mitt in the wash solution and begin washing the car. Then, before dunking the wash mitt back into the wash solution, you rinse it out in the second bucket of fresh water. You will find the rinse bucket has most of the muck in it so not returning it to the paint.
Yeat that's what I kinda thought it was. I'm going to start doing that every time I wash. Just waxed my car not too long ago so I kinda want to maintain it. Thanx and good lookin' out.
@444marines wrong.. Swirl X is a diminishing compound that turns into a polish the more you work it in.. so it levels the clear

By hand never works but DA makes all the difference
armaniDrums1 2 years ago
The Ultimate compound is awesome. Use an orbital polisher for the best results. I use a Porter cable, great results.

this shit dont work, ive tried everything.
MrRichierich1990 2 years ago
A lot of products like this just fill in the swirls temporarily.
andrewdoyle88 2 years ago
This is not a filler product.

do you have to take the wax off the car before you use swirlX?
EthanCommins888 2 years ago
No just wash the car first.
I have only used SwirlX by machine (DA) and it does a great job.
Ash1955 2 years ago
Iv'e used the stuff twice but it doesn't work.
EthanCommins888 2 years ago
By hand or machine?

both

I drive a black car and I was wondering what would be best for it? Please help...thanks. This or the NXT was?

We all do but if you wash using the two bucket method it will help keep swirls to minimum.
Ash1955 2 years ago
What's the two bucket method? I kinda have an idea but not to sure...
chiquisbaby81 2 years ago
In the first bucket, you have your car wash solution as normal. In the second bucket you have clean fresh water. First off you soak your mitt in the wash solution and begin washing the car. Then, before dunking the wash mitt back into the wash solution, you rinse it out in the second bucket of fresh water. You will find the rinse bucket has most of the muck in it so not returning it to the paint.
Get a sheep skin mitt and DON'T use a sponge.
