Having surfed Sandy's and the wedge, it's definitely a push as far as crazier goes. I was surprised how powerful the wedge is but it doesn't quite try to turn your bones to dust on the bottom the way Sandy's does.

And someone said Marine St? Marine St. is fun when it works but it's not even half as scary as either the wedge or Sandy's.

Double red flag means beach is closed except to surfers and bodyboarders with fins. Its an international code followed by most lifeguards.

Sandy's is one of the most dangerous beaches in hawaii. Lost of people get hurt or die there from the waves. These waves are very heavy for there size. Hawaii has some of the best surf in the world, don't judge Sandys until you've rode Sandys. And if you still think your bad and that Cali got better surf than hawaii you should check out Waimea Bay. HAWAII SURF ALL THE WAYY.

Sandy beach is like a couple miles after hanauma bay in the hawaii kai area. If you kno where the main road is that goes through hawaii kai just keep goin, pass hanauma bay and you'll see it eventually. It'll hav a large grassy area and a bathroom with paintings all over it.

Its pretty much all locals, but if you know what youre doing you shouldnt have to worry. I'm technically a local. born and raised on oahu, grew up in nalo. however, despite being born and raised here, I am very white. nobody at sandy's has ever seemed to hold that against me though.
