Like explained there at 4:00, to change the side you'll have to cross the sticks. So the wrap defines which hand takes speed. To change from righty to lefty you must change your wrap from normal wrap to backside. You can substitute the stick change with genocide or anything which does the same thing.
Check out the diabolo at 6:35. It's Henry's Circus with Jürgens Ultra Leicht kit. So basically wide axle circus.
