  • I'm hoping to start to make my own outdoor apparel. I'm looking to buy both a used Industrial sewing machine and serger. (I assume you buy them both seperately.) Any recommendations on brands and/or models? Any recommendations on places to purchase good used equipment? (Note: I live in Colorado.) Thanks!

  • OHHHHHHH!!! i see now! :PPP

  • i have a 4 thread surger, and when you stretch the fabric you can still see the thread. :( i've tried lots of things. it just wont fix :( any ideas?

  • @HillaryHeroine Try surging with 3 threads, then use a simple chain stitch on your sewing machine to finish. It may not be what you are looking for, but it definitely does the job.

  • this is great i was thinking about getting a serger but was unsure wether a up to 4 thread capability was nessesary but i can see now it defferenatly is. thanks

  • there should have been a close up of the side view of the 4 thread sewing before you showed that it wouldn't pull apart.

  • Can't see the video as the words are on top of the video

  • @itsbarbaram Hit the arrow pointing up in the bottom right of the video, above where the views are listed, and turn off the CC option.

  • I appreciate this fellows instruciton.. thank you sir,

  • Ok fail on this vid for soo many reasons. How many times is he gonna say 3 isn't to construct a garment. Ok i got it the first time. 2. They didn't even show a close up of 4 so we could see what it looks like AND he didn't pull the 4 to show the thread like he did for the 3. Any thread will show on a piece if you pull at the seams. Genius.

  • Any thread will show on a piece if you pull at the seams - this is NOT true for a serger. GENIUS.

  • Im talking about when you are serging 2 pieces together to construct a garment....EINSTEIN!!!!

  • Right ... only the left needle threads show. The looper threads and right needle thread don't show.

  • someone told me to serge bathing suit material using only 3 threads. after hearing your video now i'm worried about that

  • use an overlock stitch. it will be fine. i've done it many times.

  • my users manual says to use 4 threads for bathing suits

  • @larrym0nde11089

3 thread stitch is totally OK for constructing a garment !!!

  • for a bathingsuit 3 this video is correct.. do your serging on the edges and then when you actually sew the pieces together use a zigzag stitch or double needle.. thats what I do and my suits come out great.

  • Thanks for coming around. Smile.

  • Well you know where he lives. He says it in the video. You are the type that needs to be banned from the internet altogether. Maybe god made your type different. It seems you have your brains inbetween your legs. You are sick. Don't make others sick too. I am sure he gets all his jobs done well. He does not need a loser like you.

  • Very helpful video.
