  • LOL, I remember this commerical.

  • Droopy's driving but he can't see over the wheel?!

  • Pulp fiction reference bravo

  • Very clever of them to use the Pulp Fiction parody, even more clever to use Shaggy as Vincent (you know, the drug user *wink, wink*).

  • When I was younger, I never really got this promo until I saw Pulp Fiction years later. Quite clever on old Cartoon Network's part.

  • Oh, they're imitating that scene from Pulp Fiction. Nice! :D

  • YES. I remembered this this morning and here it is in YouTube in all its glory. Thank you for this.

  • Wait a minute. They don't call it Pound Puppies because France uses the metric system? ....But... that doesn't make any sense. Wasn't it called Pound Puppies because they came from the Dog Pound?

  • @DrClay999 Thats the joke! Shaggy doesn't really know what he's talking about...

  • i think droopy should have replaced scrappy

  • PULP FICTION REFERENCE

    OLD CARTOON NETWORK-YOU ROCK!

  • WOW WAT A BLAST FROm THE BLAST

  • Droopy is voiced by Don Messick here (who also voiced Scooby).

  • im so glad that i remember this! xD

  • Before this version, at the end shaggy said "Would you look at that!"

  • I - Can - Barely - Remember - Anything - Before - This!

  • Lol the references to Morocco, Smurfs and Pound Puppies lol 3 shows by Hanna barbera lol. Well morocco is from secret squerrl

  • Pulp Fiction reference?

  • I remember this!

  • So this commercial is spoofing Pulp Fiction?

  • What's a kids network doing parodying adult movies? As if most of them will get it.

And I remember seeing this back when CN was good.

  • this is some kind of pulp fiction reference, no? 4:47

  • @lokness95 yes, lol I love it!

  • Memories man mermories &)

  • its funny i remember seeing this when i was 5 and i obviously didn't get the pulp fiction reference

  • Cartoon Network is in recession, looks like a deep one.

  • todays CN is like todays MTV

  • pfffhahaha leave it to the GOOD cartoon network to make a pulp fiction reference...

  • i never thought that i would watch this commecial ever again since it came out,now i'm 16 and when i come here to watch these old Cartoon Network videos bring me back baby memories.I grew up with Cartoon Network, and it grew up with me.This channel was very for me

  • he cant see over the grill and hes driven?

  • I just love this spot. Droopy driving the Goat..Now that was cool!

  • my right ear feels slightly overloaded...

  • The look Droopy gives Shaggy after that Morocco Mole factoid can only be described as, "Son, that is pure bullshit."

  • Wat happened to the good all days

  • Is anybody else catching the enormous Pulp Fiction refernces? In fact, the entire bumper is a Pulp fiction reference!!

  • @thewhorocks524 I know! I had no idea back when I was a kid how cool Cartoon Network really was.

  • CLASSIC, PURE CLASSIC

  • THIS WAS THE BEST CARTOON NETWORK T_T

  • JINKIES MOTHERFUCKER, DO YOU SPEAK IT?

  • Comment removed

  • back when cartoon network used to be amazing, i cant even see that channel anymore....it turned into such a sellout bullshit station....its sad to see this now...

  • The introduction of Reality Shows into Cartoon Network caused its downfall.

  • back when there was still heart...

lesson in life: someone one starts something, makes it gold, and when it's passed on, it's passed on to some spoiled dip-shit college business major. all money and no actual audience understanding.

and that's why jobs suck these days too.

  • @ACRedsCreations Hell yeah! We must be really proud of ourselves to know the vast importance of having a heart in order to spend our afterlives in heaven!

  • @SonicFamilyGal t.v. is evolving more to the flow of internet. when tv goes bankrupt, i'm gonna laugh. not to mention when this country eventually his bankruptcy too.

  • Gods... I remember watching this over in Germany back in the late 90's.

  • This was when Cartoon Network was worth something. This is when they pushed the envelope and pushed the censors but now...

BRING BACK THE OLD CARTOON NETWORK!!!

  • @smcneal057 Hell yeah! Today's kids are in dire need of growing up with the stuff that us teens and young adults grew up with when we were their age so they'll mature psychologically at a lightning-fast rate!!

  • "Home of the Stars"

Now its "Home of the Higher-Ups" Its sad.

  • @Luffyrulz09 Yeah...especially for the SMART teens and young adults out there who were lucky enough to see this.

  • I always thought Shaggy said "Morocco Moo"...I searched Morocco Moo and it said something about Secret Squirrel in google...Shaggy says "Morocco Mole". It makes so much more sense, and I applaud Cartoon Network for their clever use of references and their own programming.

Cartoon Network's long time fans need a slogan to show how everyone feels. Something ironic, just like "CN's" name.

Long live that which has already died

Something cheesy and overdramatic like that. =P

  • lmfao @ droopy's face 00:44

  • 9 people are jealous that they were not the among 200M served.

  • Holy Shit!I never understood this commercial, till I actually watched pulp fiction a few weeks back.WOW

    XP

A wave of nostalgia has just come over me..

  • @Undertaker42088 Hell yeah! NOSTALGIA IS TRENDY!!

  • @SonicFamilyGal HELL YEAH!!Lol

  • Brilliant commercial! :D

I always loved the background music. Does anyone know the title of it? Or maybe where I can find it?

  • i misssss themmm, im trying to find old vids noww but there soo limited! =(

  • Oh the memories...

  • cool ad i miss the old CN that i grow up with :(

  • the cartoon network is the only channel that showed all superb cartoons that no other channels did,i miss my old cartoon network.

  • 200 million has decreased to about 1000 cause almost everyone stopped watching CN

  • waaaay back when.....when cartoon network didnt show live action shows...

  • We'll never see magic like this again.

  • Ah, yes, this was the good old days....

  • no in spain the smurfs r called los pitufos

  • @gussy1d5 don't get too technical. we all know it's a joke. btw, i already knew what smurfs were called in spain and latin america.

  • 'They don't have pounds in France; they have the metric system' *smacks forehead* I can't Believe it took me this long to get that!

  • Royale with cheese

  • I've just noticed something about Droopy, he has the same silhouette as Alfred Hitchcock.

  • Time flies when this is what you lose

  • I NEVER WOULD HAVE GOTTEN THIS AS A KID!!!

  • I can just see Droopy saying "English Motherfu*ker do you speak it?!"

  • wow I remember this commercial omg

  • I love all of their commercials

  • "Wow, 200 Million served."

Now we only see 5 cartoons and they are shit compared back then. Now we see reality crap. ITS CALLED CARTOON FOR A REASON! god why the hell did they have to put reality tv since its called hmmm, what was it? Oh yeah C-A-R-T-O-O-N. I just cant believe Cartoon Network went downfall.

  • @nano69ify This would be the caption if MTV aired a similar commercial in '86 (although PF came 8 years later):

    Over 200M rockin you 24/7

Like u said about cartoon network, MTV has practically no music videos and only reality shows focusing on guidos, teenage whores that get pregnant, and spoiled brats that r snobs. Not 2 mention the fact that is all scripted!

To close off, CN should know better than airing crap done by wannabe "jackasses" and "stuntmen" that kids will try 2 imitate!

  • @Oliver30 Yeah wtf they are both not getting to their point, Cartoon Network is a place ONLY for cartoons, and MTV is a place ONLY for music.

  • @Oliver30 Thank goodness there are SMART teens out there who are smart enough to remain virginal until they're physically, psychologically, and emotionally ready!!

  • @nano69ify which is definitely why I want to be a babysitter!

  • @SonicFamilyGal Awesome

  • @nano69ify

Chowder and Flapjack wasn't bad, and now Adventure Time and The Regular Show aren't that bad. Hell, Mad has a very retro feel to it besides the current pop culture references. I agree that "Total Drama Island", 6Teen and the reality shows are horrid.

  • @wollclark ive heard Flap Jack was discussing and inappropriate. Yeah ive heard Adventure time was getting more popular with my friends showing off the shirts and talking about it. I haven't gotten a chance to watch it, well, cuz i don't watch TV anymore, i mean literally, i see the TV but don't even turn it on, its useless to me, but keep forgetting to watch how Adventure Time is.

  • @nano69ify

Disgusting? Why do kids need to watch dumbed-down innocent cartoons? I'd find that rather insulting. Ren & Stimpy, Cow & Chicken, Rocko's Modern Life, and various other shows had "inappropriate" content as well. I can't recall anything that was really disgusting about Flapjack, creepy maybe, but not disgusting. Cartoon Network didn't see it either apparently because it wasn't canceled, the creator just decided to end its run.

  • @wollclark Well ive heard because um, i dunno something about their apperance or something? Ren & Stimpy was in Nickelodeon not CN. Rocko's modern life!? i haven't find it discusting but weird.

  • @nano69ify

Nickelodeon's still a kids' network. Also, have you ever seen Really Really Big Man? He was in Rocko's Modern Life. From Wikipedia: "His superpowers include flight, magic chest hairs, nipples that allow people to see their future (by attaching them to the eyeballs), and super strength."

  • @wollclark oooooooooh i see, yeah some cartoonists are morons when they ran out of ideas for kids.

  • @nano69ify Just blame Ted Turner, if he's still alive.

  • @Elsteveo17Emo I think hes still alive.

  • @Elsteveo17Emo It isn't really Turner's fault. He doesn't really have direct control over his own channels, anymore.

  • @Oliver30 Maybe, but he is given the responsabilty over the things he owns, correct?

  • @Elsteveo17Emo Actually, Time Warner tends to take the heat more often than him alone.

  • @Oliver30 Hmmm... I dunno what to say to that.

  • @Oliver30 I may be responding to this out of context, but Ted Turner's been gone from the TW empire for several years now.

  • @nano69ify It's funny how you guys have no idea what 200 million served means. You think it's the amount of cartoons and so other dumb guy thinks it's viewership. Damn you guys are idiots. Maybe instead of watching Cartoon Network all day back then you should've hit the books and got an education.

  • @SirFakeName Hey, i might have corrected myself at one point, but you don't see me telling everyone that he/she is full of shit. Besides, YOU'RE the one who should be hitting the books than being a troll on the internet.

  • @nano69ify

R.I.P. CN memories....IK and me and my friends too h8 'Hole in the wall', 'Dude what would happen', and all that bull. Dude, what would happen if CN WAS BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS?!

  • @iluvallmychao0071 Life would be easier.

  • @nano69ify oh and btw, 200 million actually stands for the # of people arould the world (mainly US, Latin America, Europe, and Asia) who were watching CN.

  • Cartoon Network used to be so cool. They really need to put the old cartoons back on this station (and not just on Boomerang).

  • Comment removed

  • I don't know why, but I just love Pulp Fiction references in cartoon. Has anyone seen SpongePulp FictionPants? It isn't exactly a Pulp Fiction reference but it's still awesome!

  • Holy crap this is so old, and it's amazing how so smart they make Shaggy, unlike in the actual Cartoon where he's a bit on the slower side xD

  • Wow! That is old...

  • what does shaggy say?

  • haha i think they made a pulp fiction reference XD

  • coloca em portugues!

  • cartoon network is screwed now....i want this old cartoons back rather than watching those new humor less computer based zombies.

  • Wow I never got this until now, a pulp fiction reference, genius

  • RIP Cartoon Network

  • I wonder how low the number gotten now....

  • @GigaBahamut probably 2 ZERO now

  • @GigaBahamut The sign now says:

"Over 200 million angry at us for sucking so much nowadays"

  • @DarkLink9393 Droopy: I don't have to look at that to know what the sign says.

  • @DarkLink9393 and those people consist mostly of disgruntled, yet classy, sophisticated, brainy, courageous, and heartfelt teenagers and young adults who religiously grew up with the network when they were kids, like us!!

  • this was back when they had a large veriety of show now all there shows a pretty much the same

  • oh my god these niggas have a pulp fiction cartoon network and the had my boy shaggy what happened to the good shit

  • I just thought of something, how is Droopy reaching the pedals?!

  • @FrankinKal96

    ....Thats a good question

  • Wow, it boggles the mind... and by that I mean how Droopy's legs can touch the pedals.

  • "I can't see over the hill". To this day, I still don't understand that line..

  • @bub777 He's saying "I can't see over the wheel".

  • @sauronthegr8 right u are.

  • @bub777 i think he said wheel.

  • a smurf is a smurf lol

  • Shaggy and Droopy... Definitely stoned

  • Shaggy.. dont be a [].

  • They don't make commercials like this anymore. =( Wish they would still make this way. Who agrees?

  • I used to see this commercial all the time when I was a kid. Now I finally get it!

  • oh i loved seeing this as a kid!

i only now realsied it referenced pulp fiction!

  • I miss the wit the 90s used to have.

  • .....cartoon network just went up 10 respect points for this

  • love this guy c it all the time on my cartoon episodes of scooby doo

  • haha Pulp Fiction yeah....

  • can someone tell what the joke that is being referenced from pulp fiction, forgive for being an idoit but i never watched the movie, but its awesome that old cartoon network made references to r-rated movies

  • @MAegcuru

    It references two things.

    1. When John Travalta and Uma Thurman were driving to the 50's diner in the red convertable.

    2. The conversation Samuel L and John Travalta were having about what they call a quarter pounder in holland.

  • 200 Million served? Yeah back when it was amazingly pro.

    Now, Cartoon Network fails.

Brings a tear to my eye...

  • No wonder I didn't get this. how can kids see the joke when pulp fiction is an R rated movie

  • Dude is this supposed to be pulp fiction? Fuck I just got that now, even though I saw this couple of days ago. Damn, cartoon network was bad ass back then.

  • omg, thank you for that. shit, now you said it i totally see the pulp fiction reference xD so epic.

  • Man cartoon network does famous movie scenes awesome

  • Wow i guess im not old enough to get the joke.

  • Wow, I wish I got this back then. Man, old Cartoon Network was awesome.

  • HOLY CRAP I GET THE JOKE AFTER 10 YEARS

  • I never got this commercial as a kid, this was awesome

  • lol pulp fiction

  • I still remember seeing this back in the day. Even as a kid, I was able to get the jock because I had seen some parts of one of my all time favorite movies, Pulp Fiction.

  • lol 0:43 he stares shaggy down

  • Whajt's the song?

  • Oh my gosh, I am now old enough to get this joke.

My respect for the old Cartoon Network continues to increase as I get older.

  • PULP FICTION JOKES ON CARTOON NETWORK!!

    Awesome!

  • I like that music... does anyone knows what is it??

  • i cant thee over the wheel

  • Cartoon Network back then was awesome!! the commercials..the cartoons

but now.. suckz!!! RIP good old Cartoon Network!!

  • why....why did this network stop being good?!

    damn corporate takeovers ruining everything.

  • I think it's time for Droopy to give Penelope Pitstop (or whoever owuld be playing Mia) a shot in the boob.

  • But first, I think maybe Droopy and Penelope Pitstop need to dance.

  • Wow I remember that add!

  • Holy shit! A Pulp Fiction reference in Cartoon Network?!? Goddamn, this channel used to be gold!

  • i never noticed this myself till now @TonyStark59

  • I'm really surprised by a pulp fiction reference form cartoon network...that's odd

  • Ah this is back in CN's glory days. I was like 5 when this commercial came on late at night. The only thing i watch on Cartoon Network now is reruns of Ed, Edd, & Eddy and Courage the Cowardly Dog. Maybe a little teen titans here and there.

  • THIS WAS BACK IN LIKE 1994 - 1996

this ad would come on real late at night like 10:00 pm

i was like 4 or 5 back then.

man i wish i had a time machine.

  • @zztopis more like 98-99 dude I remember this bump from 3rd or 4th

  • @zztopis We all wished for a time machine,buddy.

  • @zztopis Me too.

  • @zztopis you and me both

  • @zztopis That's exactly what I said too.

  • obviously pulp fiction reference

  • Cartoon Network... "Over 200 million served" i wonder how many is it now?

  • I love Pulp Fiction!!!! 2nd greatest movie ever!

  • agreed Sonicitachi.

Fight Club is the best movie followed by Pulp Fiction.

    This commercial rocks.
