Hanson sound is mature, classic, doesn't sound old-fashioned with time as original as it is. Tinted Windows is just rock pop like many many groups nowadays. The great about Hanson, is that in difference with other groups, they have 50's 70's school, Tinted Windows is like the goups you hear a lot in tv 80's style. But is ok for an artist to explore, but i ratter prefer the rock 'n roll, r&b and gospel of Hanson music

Wow. Insane..... My very first concert was Cheap Trick in 1981. I loved the Smashing Pumpkins in the early/mid '90s. And Hanson has been my favorite band for five years now. So, WOW! Still prefer Hanson, though. :)

Oh my god, i was so upset when I found out Taylor went to tinted windows. I wanted to cry for three hours! This music... Just isn't him! It's really a shame. This music seems so... Dark. The music that he makes with Zac and Issac really are a pick-me-up and this... I don't know. I honestly think it was a mistake for him to go to Tinted Windows. He had so much success in Hanson!
But, you're talking to a die hard Hanson (and Zelda) fan. And the Hanson brothers write some pretty inspiring stuff, for the most part. Look at "The Walk", that song blew me to tears the first time i heard it (yeah, i'm lame. :P) Idk, this sounds more 'mainstream' type, and a lot of people prefer this type of music. I think this band will go places, considering the mix of band members (Guitarist of Smashing Pumpkins, etc.) This isn't that bad either.

As for the songs, I dunno. They're catchy, but simplistic ... Kind of a Girl... iono, I can't get it out of my head but I'm not sure I like it...

not everyone who expresses an opinion is a hater. i tried to like the song given the semi all-star cast of this group. but the song still sounds like a cross between beach boys and jonas brothers. messing with my head is better. besides why should the minority indulge the majority with a smile when the majority is not making sense? that is not how free speech works

It's about time someone in the music industry branched out and tried something new! Way to go Taylor! What a great line up of artists. You guys are awesome and I'm really looking forward to the album. This is proof that tay doesn't need to be behind a keyboard and harmonizing, he has a true talent. I'll always be a huge Hanson fan, and this just adds to how amazing they really are...

Agreed! This just isn't working for him. The rock edge is cool but he's really not right in this vid. He's got this annoying old 1990s boyband thing going on in his singing and not to mention the songs are just irritating to some degree. This can't fly.

Wow. Insane..... My very first concert was Cheap Trick in 1981. I loved the Smashing Pumpkins in the early/mid '90s. And Hanson has been my favorite band for five years now. So, WOW! I'm excited about hearing the rest of the tracks. :) (And Hanson Haven, you are more than entitled to your opinion, as we all are. People forget that, unfortunately. Bad manners on their parts, lol.)

(Thanks for the compliment and letting the vid through :-D.) I've never heard any Jonas music, but the shock factor was there for me too. I knew if I gave my first impressions here I'd be "blasted", as you most likely were. But after reading up about them and their influences, knowing who the bandmates were, and listening to the song more, my initial shock ("glam bubblegum disco" was all I could think!!) faded away and now I can't wait for the cd to come out. Still prefer Hanson, though. :)

hmm... yknow.. i was actually kinda pleasantly surprised. musically its very interesting, kind of light and fun, which if you were to compare to hansons stuff as of late, has had a more somber mood. HOWEVER, seeing taylor do his little chicken dance.. cracked me up... i guess it's not as noticable when he's behind a keyboard/piano. I guess I just don't see why people would be upset over this, tays just using a bit of his personality and trying something new instead of being pigeonholed. rock on

I'm not going to say that "it's not fine" but I agree that it sounds manufactured. Incredibly. I love Taylor, he's so talented, but he looks so uncomfortable that it actually makes it hard to watch.

I'm glad to see Taylor branching out in this direction. He's writing with Adam Schlesinger who is an absolute genius songwriter (That Thing You Do!) and it shows. And c'mon guys, I've been a Hanson fan since 1994 and I have to say I'm glad to see some differences happening. I've seen them a few times in the last few years but I haven't bought a Hanson record (cast your imaginary stones) in like 5 years and I am so on board with Tinted Windows. Sheer pop genuis.

i think it's great. more power to him for branching out and doing something different. and you can't say it isn't "him," because if it wasn't the kind of music he wants to do, he wouldn't do it. it doesn't sound like Hanson, and that's probably why he did it with some other peeps. he's trying something new, and i hope it all works out 'cuz no matter what, i'll still luv him :-)

He is too talented, has too special of a voice, to be making this kind of music. I hope if he continues on this route that they will put more effort into making original music like Hanson does.

Oh my god, i was so upset when I found out Taylor went to tinted windows. I wanted to cry for three hours! This music... Just isn't him! It's really a shame. This music seems so... Dark. The music that he makes with Zac and Issac really are a pick-me-up and this... I don't know. I honestly think it was a mistake for him to go to Tinted Windows. He had so much success in Hanson!

But, you're talking to a die hard Hanson (and Zelda) fan. And the Hanson brothers write some pretty inspiring stuff, for the most part. Look at "The Walk", that song blew me to tears the first time i heard it (yeah, i'm lame. :P) Idk, this sounds more 'mainstream' type, and a lot of people prefer this type of music. I think this band will go places, considering the mix of band members (Guitarist of Smashing Pumpkins, etc.) This isn't that bad either.

Weird at first but I liked it a lot. There's a mix of all 4 great bands it has a lot of fountains of wayne influence though and cheap trick. It sounds like it will be big for soundtracks and something you would hear off the OC soundtrack or something lol but hey that's still a compliment. Don't ever compare anyone to the Jonas Brothers they are a piece of shit band and John Taylor is the real one playing the guitar for them anyway lol

I know it's Taylor, but the vibe he is giving off in this band (tinted windows) is similar to the vibe of the lead of Jonas Brothers.

Yeah, the comparison of Jonas Brothers and Hanson is very shallow stopping at the similarity of "three brothers in a band"
The comparison of Tinted Windows to Jonas though... that's a bit deeper. It's not something that really stands out, but little hints like dancing around with a mic and no instrument, and the lyrics which are obscenely 'preteen'
I still say that the comparison of jonas and hanson is stupid... but since jonas came before tinted windows, jonas is the one to be compared to

yeah, the Jonas Brothers don't write there own music, Hanson did. Accually Adam has written music for the Jonas Brothers before (not to mention I know it"s shallow but the Jonass Brothers are kind of ugly)

i think its cool, i tihnk a lot of hanson fans are going to complain and say it sounds like jonas brothers or whatever because its a lot more poppy than we're used to, but personally I think its pretty good. These are four seasoned musicians, im pretty sure they know what they're doing, they're trying something new, nothing wrong with that. i do think its very poppy, but i dont think it sounds like jonas brothers. and besides, i like the jonas brothers.

For me it was actually the sound -and- the lyrics.
The lyrics just sound like a good hit single for pre-teen aged girls.
'Messing With My Head' sounds better, but 'kind of a girl' is very Jonas-esque with sound/lyrics.

i get what youre saying though, messing with my head does sound much better than kind of a girl, i have to agree with that, and i think messing with my head sounds a little hanson-ish....of course, the fact that it isnt anywhere near as good as hanson is a given for hanson fans....the only thing that is kind of bugging me a little is taylor not behind some type of instrument, its awkward to see him hopping around with just a mic lol

If you listen to the pre-record label stuff they did I believe zac was about 7 or 8.
The pre-record label stuff being MMMBop album and Boomerang album- they were recorded before 1995 even.
