So true what they were talking about regarding Mal. Part of what makes him such an amazing and intriguing character is because he's so layered and has so many sides to him, yet it doesn't feel forced, you can tell a lot of care and thought was put into him, by both Joss and Nathan. I remember Mal being the one to really catch my attention in the first episode of Firefly I watched. He really leaves an impression, in a good way. ^^

Heh, yeah, even if that's not what he set out to do at first. He doesn't let people tell him whats or wrong or right, he doesn't even always try to do whats seen as right in other eyes, he does what he believes in, and what he has to in order to keep him and his crew alive. But even after everything he's been though... he has a good soul, and a strong heart, plus he's tough as nails, so he usually ends up being the hero anyway. ^^
