  • Looks like ron's barrels. How much does the setup cost? How many gallons per mile does it get when you're on it? What kinda air to fuel ratio does it run? So curious.

  • 0:16

  • youtube needs to ban slideshows

  • propane and propane accessories! what your tasting is the meat not the heat!

  • heh we had a propane powered 454 in our '81 winnebago!

  • Nice truck man!!

    I love ur engine setup..

  • does propane go farther on a tank than gas?

  • do you refill your propane at Strickland Propane?

  • @fmxperson

Nope, hank only fills up the small tanks for the BBQ's

  • @SuperMuise lol

  • @SuperMuise Well then Hank Hill's about a damned disgrace to his profession!! Cool truck, though!

  • @fmxperson Dangit Bobby!

  • Hey nice ride

whats the name of the song?

  • now thats a truck i have one the same body 1980 chevy 2500HD with a 4bolt main 350 stroaker all stock truck still needs restoring but i hope to have it this nice one day

  • @DRNEGOLICIS

You might be in luck......the chasis is gonna be forsale soon. I'm taking the engine/tranny/diff outa this one and throwing them in the 79 chev that we've got.

  • @SuperMuise wheres it located?

  • For those who care, just rebuilt the original diff with a richmond locker and 4:10 ring and pinions. New videos coming soon

  • its cool and different, but it is no 500 hp 454 or you would be running somewhere in the 13s, or faster because 17s is slow even for a heavy truck like that. a stock tbi 454 in a early 90s ss truck runs a lower 16 or high 15 with a mid 200 hp 454. sorry just saying it how it is.

  • @faststang85

Lately i've been thinking the same thing, but keep in mind that its got 1ton suspension out back, with a stock diff, street tires, and 4:10's.....Ive had it down to 16.1 before when i cranked the mixers up. Plus im sure i could nail a 15 like it is now if i had a good run.

The engine is going to get rebuilt again and done properly, along with the rear end. After that the engine is going into our "show" truck.

  • @faststang85 that truck should way in around 4500 lbs and thats imposible a 350 of that generation is 330HP

  • @DRNEGOLICIS

You dont know much about these trucks do you? This truck is easily 5000-6000lbs, and yes the old 350's had more hp during the old years but it is not impossible for a original 1976 454 to have 200hp and over 400ftlbs of torque. They are torque monsters, which is why they lasted so long....kinda like a diesel engine (cummins 12v). Go do some homework......

  • Hi, last week I tried the same with my 454 el Camino. 2x OHG 450 mixer (as you have) with 2x Impco E vaporiser, but I could not find a good adjustment, the car runs always to lean.

Next week I will try it with 2x Impco 425 mixer and I hope the car will run perfect.

Is it right that you use an Offenhauser intake manifold ?

I have some problems with my Edelbrock manifold because it accepts just the small pattern studs.

Do you use a progressive throttle linkage ?

  • check your personal messages Rasiebertlich, I have one sent to you with the information.

  • Thing of beauty... : D

  • beautiful teeruck 454 is awesome

  • Great truck !!! Has the fuel mileage changed at all with the propane? I have a 1990 v3500 1 ton with a 454 tbi I use for pulling bales and any other towing tasks, check it out Kijiji ad # 174282884 Enjoy your truck :)

  • No, the fuel millage stays about the same. The only difference is, is you pay half of what you pay for propane compared to gasoline. SO technically, you are doubling your fuel millage.

  • What did the conversion cost? What size is your fuel tank? How many miles can you go on a tank of propane?

  • Check your messages mooselips454

  • *GM trucks**** haha.

  • sick dude, love them old chevys!

  • Well done!

    Excellent job on the truck...

  • blaster 2 coils are supposed to be mounted vertically to get proper oiling and a long life

  • meh, im not worried about it

  • thats awesome

  • nice truck
