  • My eyes fill with tears to hear this petition. Shalom Aleichem.

  • @OrthodoxDarwinist Really? You're on the net and yet you can't bother to look up what it really means... or perhaps you just want to mislead others. "Kol nidre" means "all vows," and in this prayer, we ask G-d to annul all personal vows we may make in the next year. It refers only to vows between the person making them and G-d, such as "If I pass this test, I'll pray every day for the next 6 months!" It has absolutely NOTHING to do with oaths made to gentiles or anyone else.

  • thank you for the kind words jcdaboss86

  • THis is just beautiful. My mother was a cantor and passed away this year. It is very rare that I like anyone else's version. This year as my sister is chanting Kol Nidre in one city, I will be chanting it in another. I was wondering if you had sheet music that I could purchase. Thank you for this.

  • Sorry for the late reply, thank you for the nice words. dont have sheet music, but theis version is most simliar to the cantor moshe koussevitsky version I dont know where it is located.

    Sholom Mendelson

  • Beautiful. Most cantors belt it out, likeI this is so much better...tender, right from the soul. Every note is flawless.

  • wow u gave me the chills!! what a voice, thanks for posting

  • Merci, très beau.

  • what does Kol Nidrei mean?

does it mean "All Vows" and does anyone know where to find a translation

  • It does indeed mean all vows and it goes into detailes since there were various types of involuntary/imposed responsibilities that were forced on the Jews.

  • @isaacbrooksvfcc yes it's found in any prayer book with translation.

  • @isaacbrooksvfcc yes it's found in any "Mahazor" prayer book with a translation, you can find one in any Jewish bookstore and copy it.
