  • I will look for your site

    thanks

  • I agree, and the Yamaha XT and R80gs are still great for touring. Simplicity is still the best.

What kind of Honda is that? It looks like an XL500?

We had those here in Canada, GREAT bikes.

    Are you still riding?

Do yoy have any other photos on the web from the trip? I would love to see them.

  • ... I think, it was the HONDA XL500, it was the motorbike of my friend Achim. I'm riding any time when it's possible, but now I'm not the owner of those crazy things. You find my many photos on my website and my many YouTube-videos on my website and at Youtube, click my name jochenahuebener right beside my YouTube-video ... see you ... greetings from jochenahuebener

  • Glad to see the older footage from long before the Charlie and Ewan fad. Just goes to show that one doesn't need a bike that costs 20 thousand bucks to go the distance.

  • Thanks, I agree ... at that time the YAMAHA XT or the HONDA or my BMWR80GS that you see in that movie were very, very good ... and ... enough ... beside the money you have to pay for big motorbikes you have sometimes problems, for example when you have to put it on a canoe to cross rivers or in soft SAHARA sand ... very easy and more adventurous was the travelling with a backpack ... you can enjoy more the countryside and the people.

    greetings from Jochen A. Huebener
