From my reading of the book, the first adaptation shown was by far the best of the three here. The one with Kiera Knightly was badly cast - I can neither picture her as Eliza nor the man as Wickham. The acting was not all that good in that adaptation either.
@Uxoriouswidow I totally disgaree - I think Mr Bingley, Mr Darcey and Mr and Mrs Bennet are all far better in the adaptation and the settings are pretty amazing :) i think for an hour and a half, instead of fifteen hours or whatever the other was, it was pretty good :)
love it so much. I wonder if they used this scene as the audition scene for Wickham, as its his biggest scene in most of the productions. 1995 Wickham can really spin it, but i love Rupert Friend's line "...well he loved me better and Darcy couldn't stand it" He says it so SO wonderfully, don't you think? the very escence of Wickham right there. :-D
i prefer rupert friend as mr wickham than any others actor..he,s an great talented young british actor..i like himxxxx

Only in the 2005 version I can understand Elisabeth liking Mr. Wickham...

I love all of these edited scenes, but I think this one was especially well done--flowed very nicely when telling this story. Great work!
