  • I am Edinburgh born, and there is no way i would allow a fat menance Alex Salmond who is only doing this for his own selfish interests not out of logic to deny me my birth right of being British and inconvenience my life to the max and create more barriers.

Where u gonna buy your military from with a non existent economy, and non existent export trade?

The world now is about breaking barriers down not creating them and i love being british id rather trust London more than Brussels

  • VOTE NO TO SCOTTISH INDEPENDENCE KEEP THE UNION ALIVE!

  • The union is coming to an end ,good news for everyone.

  • Factually incorrect, you may have noticed that Ireland left the uk in 1922, have a nice day.

  • hmm using ;;highland Cathredral'' as a tool to tell scots they couldnt possibly be a free nation? soo negative! and patronising!

  • Where's the Welsh dragon in the union flag, hmm? Where's the saltire? I see a navy saltire, but as we all know the Scots saltire is azure blue... can't miss the English flag slapped right in the middle of the union rag though. #saoralba

  • @Claymore1314 , ah questions questions, how about finding the answers for yourself.....................try google or wiki.......or mcwiki. best wishes

  • @Hullawthere Nice racist 'mcwiki' slur, expect nothing else from your type...

  • my type?.......anyway that will me being racist against myself I suppose!

  • @Hullawthere Clearly not bright enough to extrapolate from my use of the word 'type' the insinuation that you have a racial prejudice. Or just a bad attempt at a bounce back. And don't even try to use the word 'Scot' when describing yourself. I'm bright enough to pick up on the ever so subtle inference.

  • @Claymore1314 extrapolate!! aye it's good to see more polis on the streets

  • The United Kingdom, greater than the sum of its parts. I feel sorry that after over 300 years of unity there are still people in Scotland feel they are treated differently than others. Any Scott with hatred for the English should be treated no better than any racist, because it is racist to hate a group of people just because they live slightly further south than you. I really wish that they had tried to get rid of the ideas of "England" and "Scotland" and just called it the UK!

  • @kaiserwill1 Islam is the real threat , its my birth right to Be British and to take that away from me is a infringement of my human rights.

I love Scotland i Love Britain the world is about breaking borders not `creating` them.

Id trust my brothers down in England more than any real foreigners in mainland Europe or Brussels on the basis that we have shared a long history together, common values, culture language and live on the same island thus we are united in defense.

  • @kaiserwill1 Yes that the best just the UK, ! nationalism is out of date and caveman style, the world is about unity and understanding not more separation. If they had called it the UK then now there wouldnt be this problem as people would have since 300 years became aware of only one UK, big mistake they made

  • Explain and justify 'British'....Read up on the illegality and enforcement of the Act of Union on the Scottish people, the vast majority of whom never wanted it. Thankfully such idiots as yourself are a dying breed.

  • @barrach7 There was nothing special about the passing of the Act of Union, patronage and bribery were common place in 17th and 18th century politcis, it was the way things were done. And as it was passed by a sovereign Scottish and a sovereign English parliament I think you will find it cannot be illegal. Britishness comes from our shared history since 1707 ans our shared values which may not seem so evident that they are now commonplace in the rest of the Western world.

  • @Stuartclark92 I suggest that you possibly consider what makes a country, or a people. The investigate how 'popular' the sneaked in act was with the general Scottish populous - and who signed it. 'Britishness' is a cursed term any decent human being would abhore - considering what's been done 'in the name of' the Union Flag (aka: Butcher's apron) since the illegal act was enforced. I'm an informed Scottish Highlander - I know what cultural genoice by 'Britain' is...

  • Burn the union flag at half mast, the union is dead. The saltire will fly high in the sky and the people of England and Scotland can finally be free of this corrupt undemocratic union.

  • @ShRiNkInGMuShRoOmS Everything was undemocratic in 1707. 'the union is dead'? In what way? It makes me laugh when people just air completely partizan views without backing them up lol!

  • Scottish by birth, British by the grace of God

    British, Scottish and proud

    Keep Scotland British

  • Scottish troops fought under the Saltire LONG before we joined the union... and will continue to do so long after. Scots fight for Scotland, and any subsequent union or coalition our society has joined. To fight alongside an ally does not mean you're the same as that ally, it only means you share a cause... if that were not the case we'd all be American by now!

It's time to move on, the union's dead.

  • @barbreck69 You cannot attribute something you believe to the every other Scot,m whilst you might feel more Scottish than British, that does not mean everyone else must necessarily feel that way.

  • Guys. Please, please. All of you who have children or just anyone. Please don't believe voting for the "right guy" will change things. You're being lied to.

I beg you to look at the video by leuren moret here on youtube. it's 1hr54m. It's been a long time since you heard factual news so be prepared to feel a little shocked.

Then begin to take the advice in her video which might help your family. Spread this news to everyone - for your childrens' sake. I beg you.

  • Fuck the queen fuckin nazi!

  • @1966thewallace ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the queen hasnt killed 6 million jews or advocated the superiority of the anglo saxon race

  • @Abbadon380 Her uncle was a nazi fan (fact) and her ancester queen victorias british empire are the only people in history to exterminate an entire race of people the tasmanians.(fact)

  • @1966thewallace THE queen this queen is not however not a Nazi you can say that she holds the same beliefs about the race supremacy as her ancestors have if she were a nazi she would have taken power from the parliment and killed every non white briton in the UK that didnt happen neither does she want to

  • @Abbadon380 Her whole family are germans (fact) the nazis were germans(fact) her grandson liked to dress up as a nazi(fact) the royal familys real name is co saxburg gotha,(fact) not windsor they changed that at the onset of ww1 as it sounded more english(fact) when they were fighting with their cousin the kaiser.Real scots bow the knee to no foreighn king english or german.

  • @1966thewallace the queen also has scottish blood in her as well as german, english, french so what if she has foreign blood she is loyal to her people the fact you cant equate loyalty to whats in the blood she no foreigner shes a brit and so are the scottish the english the welsh and the northern irish dudes

  • @Abbadon380 Wrong dummy! my loyalty is to scotland and the scots, nothing or nobody else and i think youll find that most scots class themselves as such not british.

  • @1966thewallace actually no not most your loyalty maybe not to the UK but others are and they will fight for the preservation of the union from seprartists divided we fall united we either fall or stand tall n proud be not only proud of scotland but of england,Wales and northern ireland you may not feel this way but others do and once this wave of narrow kind of nationalism weathers the UK UNION WILL PREVAIL Good day to you sir n good night

  • @1966thewallace I think most Scots are clever enough to realise its not an either or choice.

  • @Abbadon380 The queen being upper class she and her kind think that they are superior to everyone else who were beneath them,is that not the same attitude as the nazis?

  • @1966thewallace ACTUALLY NO the nazis advocate the superiority of the Aryan race or in this case the Anglo saxon race so no

  • @Abbadon380 I Think youll find that the british sorry english empire forced their superior race on the countrys that they conquered.

  • @1966thewallace I love Nats who don't know their History. I suggest you open a book. Scots were perhaps the most committed Empire builders in Britain. I would suggest Linda Colley's book "Britons: Forging the Nation", or either of Tom Devine's "The Scottish Nation" or "Scotland's Empire". Scots loved the Empire, they reveled in the idea of being equal partners in it.

  • @Stuartclark92 SO FUCK, IT'S DONE NOW, THIRD WORLD WALES, NORTHERN TERRORISTS OF IRELAND, AND ENGAYLAND CAN GO FUCK ITSELF, WE'RE FINISHED.

  • @Stuartclark92 Very true. Look at the great Scottish dockyards and Scottish contribution to the armed forces of the empire....Scotland asserted her independence in 1357 for Christ's sake! It worries me that there are so many people who assert very strong, biased views in regard to history; yet know absolutely none of the facts. One of the main reasons that England and Scotland are joined today, is that fact that a Scottish King (James VI) was crowned as King of England in 1603.

  • @Stuartclark92 NEWSFLASH!!! The empires over, so what if some scots benefited from it,maybe you should read youre history books properley its gone and its no coming back get over it.

  • @1966thewallace I don't think anything about my previous comment suggested I believed the British Empire still existed, and neither did I suggest it was coming back. Learn to understand words properly. I was merely correcting your false assertion that the nastier aspects of what you termed "the british sorry english empire" have nothing to do with our past as Scots, we are as drenched in the blood of the victims of empire as the rest of Britain.

  • @Stuartclark92 NEWSFLASH!! The uk is coming to an end, wether people like you like or not, also if you ask most people up here they will say they are scottish not british. And yes scots spilled the blood of innocents abroad as part of the english empire, something that shall remain a stain on our countrys reputation.

  • @1966thewallace That also goes for the Spanish who raped and tortured south Americans,Dutch,French and Germans,,,all guilty of Empires as well as Turkes,Japanese and Romans...lol...i think you need to move on fella...long time ago...lol

  • @1966thewallace Scots got involved in Empire as Britons, there was no sense that the Empire was English as I've tried to explain. And I'm sure most Scottish people are smart enough to recognise they can have a layered identity, that being Scottish does not preclude being British in the same way that being glaswegian does not preclude you from being Scottish.

  • @1966thewallace As for what you mean by "people like me", I can only assume you mean people undecided on Scottish independence but who feel the decision should be made on the basis of mature considered debate rather than on fanatical misrepresentation of history. And I'm sorry to have to correct you again but the UK would still exist after Scottish independence as the Kingdoms which are United are those of Great Britain and Norther Ireland, the title Great Britain may change but the UK would not

  • @1966thewallace So if your brother commits murder, that makes you a murderer? Or is it possible individuals can have their own opinion irrespective of what their relatives believe? And yes it was the British empire who dealt so horribly with the tasmanians, Scots included.

  • May I also point out half my Scottish family live in Australia. I am married to an Australian and have 2 children by him, both are entitled to their Australian passports, yet we choose to live here.

Scotland is by far superior to Australia.

  • Scotland's banking sector is owned by the English more or less....yet another nail they try to hammer into our coffin.

May I point out to you that you seriously under estimate the Scottish people if you think our only commodity is oil.

For a country the size of a postage stamp we have contributed more to science (and will continue to do so) than most other countries if you factor in size and population.

    What has Australia contributed?

  • im Australian but if scotland the size of a postage stamp has its own flag why the hell do we have the union jack on our flag, we have nothing to do with scotland wales or england ,any time our troops are based with yanks they think were british naval troops because the look of our stupid flag and scotland a dot on the map has its own im showing this to every one.

  • If you love Scotland, then stay in the Union.

  • ..and on that basis you are forgiven. This country rejoiced when the Shah was deposed by the Ayatollah Khomeini. Prior to this tyrant's regime, at least we knew the devil we had to work with. The western world got what it deserved by doing it usual...sticking it's nose in where it didn't belong....let's hope Libya is not a repeat of Iran.

I for one will not apologise to any mealy-mouthed do-gooder who has no understanding of the complexities surrounding the issues you raised.

    Saor Alba.

  • ..3 secs but lets stop blaming everyone other than the Governments, not just in 3rd world countries but also our Governments that will not erradicate their debt but also all Governments who know about the corruption that is a constant factor. Again. lets lay responsibility where it lies, people have a choice as to how many, if any, children they have. The means to prevent pregnancy is available. There is only so much we, as a country can do. As for Iran. I will assume you are fairly young..

  • @Ronsuperjet...

Allowing Greece into the EU was akin to allowing a child an unsupervised overnight in a sweet shop. Are you so stupid you actually believe politicians didn't know how Greece was running it's economy? As for Italy, only the Italians could be so disinterested in politics as to allow Berlusconi to run the country. Jesus, maybe the USA should elect Hugh Heffner after Obama. As for those starving people. Callous as it may sound, and trust me I despair that a child dies every..

  • Scotland under the SNP is an embarrassment. I now know how it must feel to be a citizen of Kazakhstan when they were portrayed by Baron Cohen's character Borat. Unfortunately we are represented by a similar buffoon called Alex Salmond.

Ps.. Has Alex Salmond ever visited the Scottish troops in Afghanistan?

  • All the problems in the world, the Euro going down the pan, Iran and its nuclear program, millions of people starving in Africa, and all we hear from the SNP is poor little Scotland. Compared to many other countries in the world Scotland doesn’t really have anything to complain about right now, its all Me Me Me with the SNP.

  • @RonSuperJet I agree

  • I dislike and discriminate against nationalists purely because of their opinion

  • Not one convincing argument. Ill be voting YES the Scottish people have had enough.

  • Yeah long live a union where one country decides what is best for another.

Better still, long live the tories, so long as you live below mid to south England.....then you are okay jack, the rest of us can rot in squalor and fight each other for the delight of the rich, the greedy and the negligent. Shame on you tories. You narrow minded, self absorbed rich bitches...and yes, I mean the men too, nothing like bending over in a crisis, God knows, the English have done it often enough.

  • @mrkjames9

May I ask where you get those figures? If you go by GDP, Scotland has one of about US$220billion according to the IMF. IMF Figures show that there are (Excluding UK) 38 countries with a GDP of greater than that.

  • @Myles0Harcourt Just Google Scotland 6th richest country in the world and you will see it is all over the news. If you are still sceptical then Google GERS report and read through it. Its very interesting, it blows away all the rumours that England subsidises us. Turns out we have paid the treasury over three hundred billion pounds from our oil alone! We have been in surplus for four years while the rest of UK has run up a debt of a £trillion. And thats why Mr C is fighting so hard to keep us!

  • @mrkjames9

One speculative comment from the SNP hardly constitutes hard facts. Even the report is only theory- there is room for counter-speculation. Especially as the Norht Sea oil reserves are diminishing. Where is Scotland's banking sector for when it runs out of oil?

  • Long live the United Kingdom of GREAT Britain and Northern Ireland!

    Protect the Union!

    God Save the Queen!

  • @Myles0Harcourt so speaks a tory proberly who does not treat scotland fairly i think independence will teach u if u get greedy u lose the lot

  • FT com October 16, 2011 4:17 pm

Salmond leaps on support for Scottish independence.

  • I live in Northern Ireland and I am of Scottish decent and I don't want to lose the link with my ancestors homeland. I think the four of us share something very special and worth keeping. We all practically have independence anyway with our local assembly/parliaments which is good but we all need to stand together especially now in these uncertain times. Besides the Queen is a Scot what would happen to her if Scotland got independence and how would it fund NHS,Police,Armed Forces etc?

  • Bit of a question - if the SNP is so unpopular, then why have they got a majority in the Scottish government?

  • @aragornthebrave

Because the Laboru Party was unpopular, the Lib Dems and Tories don't stand a chance. I know at least one ardent Unionist who voted for the SNP.

  • @Myles0Harcourt pfft some voters who vote labour want scottish independence they just dont trust the snp the only reason why england wants the scots to stay so there tory pals can wreck scotland

  • Look at the mess London rule has made of Wales and especially Scotland - a country which London's own advisers warned would be 'embarrassingly wealthy' had she had her freedom 40 years ago...

We neither need nor want this union between our nations anymore.

  • THIS IS SCOTLAND!!!!!!!!

  • @1966thewallace WRONG THIS IS THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT MOTHERFUCKING BRITAIN AND NORTHERN MOTHERFUCKING IRELAND

  • @Abbadon380 WRONG STUPID!! THIS IS SCOTLAND!!!!!!!

  • @1966thewallace YEAH THE WHOLE GREATER ISLAND OF THE BRITISH ISLES AND NORTHERN IRELAND IS SCOTLAND GREAT LOGIC ITS THE MOTHERFUCKING UNITED KINGDOM LONG LIVE THE QUEEN AND THE MOTHERFUCKING UNION AND THE PEOPLE OF THAT GREAT NATION

  • @Abbadon380 Fuck you fuck the queen fuck the union !

  • @1966thewallace Great argument LONG LIVE THE QUEEN

  • @1966thewallace AND LONG LIVE THE UNION Good day to you sir

  • @Abbadon380 Youre beloved union is coming to an end and we scots are proudly going to bury it.

  • @1966thewallace thats what you think well this argument wont go any further because there is no point to it i say the UK will remain the you say scotland will be independent we cannot hope to predict the future but we can do our best to influence the events of the future and i say The people of the UK will not stand to break down this great nation without a fight beyond that i cant predict the out come neither can you good day or good night

  • @Abbadon380 Newsflash!! the rest of the uk cannot stop indepenence for scotland,

  • @1966thewallace news flash not all scots support the breaking of the union as the see themselves as british example this guy here hes definetely not in the minority neither is the SNP THE people of the UK including those scots who want to prevent the breaking up of the union will attempt to stop it if theyre succesful or not it remains to be seen if the scotland secedes then ok but dont think the scots in scotland who support the union will be quiet and let the nationalists win just like that

  • The Scots are/were never united with the English but to the British Empire. Compare the rise of the British Empire and the Scots enthusiasm for it to the rise of the SNP and calls for independence to the decline of the Empire and the state of The Conservative and Unionist Party in Scotland. Regarding the Empire ´s might & military, odd how Scotland provided 20% of army casualties but has only 10% of the population of the UK. Cannon fodder for King&Queen & country anyone?

  • The union is a good thing, BECAUSE IT IS! Is that the best you cane come up with? The SNP have put the unionists in the position of having to find some positive arguments for maintaining the union, as so fr they have looked like a bunch of wallies! .

Goldie said at the Conservative conference that Scotland should stay part of the union because it was good for Britain - not for Scotland. That sums it up.

  • Proud history??

The Highland Clearances, A shitty Union deal in 1707 and all the wars in the 12,1300's . . . proud my ass

  • SNP are a majority government :P

  • This is now outdated now its 64% that want the independence . This video lies lol

  • @CDStoner

Where is the dignity and pride in the subjugation of one nation by another?

  • I am not proud of being English, but I am proud of being British. I fear the SNP are using fear and lies to divide us. We have a history together to be proud of.

  • fuck the union

  • My condolences to jay's family for rearing a retard.

  • This video is a sack of lies. Scotland is 62% in FAVOR of independence as of 2005.

  • great britain is the country. english scottish welsh we are all british.

  • So much for youre 70% say no to independance when the latest poll says the majority are in fovour of it.ps this is a realy shit video.

  • INDEPENDENCE POLL - 5th September 2011

    For independence - 39%

    Against independence - 38%

    Undecided - 23%

Highest support for independence in Scotland for 3 years ! It's rising and it won't stop rising....

    Independence is inevitable !

    VOTE SCOTTISH NATIONAL PARTY -SNP-

  • @glasgow1234 Scotland is better of as a part of the united kingdom, england has bailed your asses out of debt many times, without england there would be no scotland.

  • @jayc342009 Scotland is NOT better of as part of a union that holds it back from making progress. England has NOT bailed out Scotland. At the moment, we are all in the United Kingdom. We ALL pay our taxes to the UK Government, NOT to the English Government. Then and now, the banks that were bailed out were BRITISH banks, NOT Scottish banks. So no ! England had not bailed us out ! Without Scotland's natural resources, England would have been finished long ago !

  • @glasgow1234 Idiot lol, bye.

  • This guy is right.

you rather go against us or Join us.

P.s england wouldnt let you have independence anyways to much work has been done to united are nations we wont let one stupid scot change that.

    godbless greatbritain.

  • @OGZxH4CKZOR1 England have no power, England do not even have a constitutional parliament, they cannot refuse the sovereign of Scotland, the Scots themselves. Once the Scots vote for their nations independence, no one on this earth can do anything to reject it.

  • @OGZxH4CKZOR1 Great Britain is not a single state, it never was either, all it is, is a non binding 1707 political construct, it started simply as two nations under a treaty to which it's been since, once one of the nations leaves the other can't do nothing about it.

The UK may remain however as that is the SNP's stance, but Great Britain's days, as a political identity are numbered.

  • @Englanistan

its stupid England scotland ruled most of the world forming the greatest empire the world has ever seen and one man wants to crush that.

if your scottish and proud to be apart of england stand with us our grandad fighted along side and many died along side for 300+ years. we have formed a great nation witch we are know world wide.

Britain with soctland = FTW dont let that mna crush are unitedness and power.

  • @OGZxH4CKZOR1 I H8 your pathetic argument.Scotland will always help England,if the fights right.Independent or not we will be there side bye side.Your argument also fails to take into account, all the ones lost.Trying to defend Scotland from English aggression. They should be remembered just as much. And held just as high in our thoughts.Who cares about what was formed 300 years ago?Time has moved on for us.The empire is gone and its not coming back. There is free trade now.And we shall use it soon

  • 70%? Last poll had ~40% for independence and ~same against, with majority for full fiscal autonomy. Proud history? Banning of the tartan, pipes, systematic attempt to eliminate Scots & Gaelic as languages, secret McCrone report and nullifying the vote for home rule in 1979 = proud? Tartan Tories? Em people vote left of centre here. Rule Britannia la-la land. Jeez, you’ve even thrown in bigotry/red hand thing. 18 countries fought alongside the Scots in WWI. Oh and colour scheme/fonts = well ugly.

  • @Taiginator it looks good

  • I pose this to Unionists - Why ally with people who have stacked and burned the corpses of native Scottish, Irish and Welsh people? Why ally with a nation that has raped your own and turned brother against brother countless times? We Irish and Scots have had our spats in the past, but we are family, we'll always stand up for you, and once you have your independence, stand together, as two free, sovreign and equal nations. Éireann agus Albain go breá. Go n-éirí an t-ádh le ngach FÍOR Albainach.

  • @IamDaReAlSeaN The Scots are by far and large Caledonian Picts as OGAP4 code.

Also Dál Riata was indigenous to Scotland as well.

  • @Englanistan

Scotland at one point was known as Scotia Minor, and Ireland as Scotia Major, because all Celts were known as Scoti. The Goidelic Celts set up base in Ireland than moved to Scotland and the Isle of Man. Ireland has hints of Viking/Norse, Norman and Saxon influence, all assimilated into the Celtic identity, their blood wasn't a massive obstacle. Thus the term "Níos Gaeilge ná na Gaeilge iad féin" came to be - more Gaelic than the Gaelic themselves.

  • @Taiginator so now you are saying england is better than the rest of us

  • Queen of England! Why not Queen of Britain?

  • @lalakraft Because Great Britain is not a kingdom, it never was, Great Britain is merely a 1707 political construct, the UK however is different, it is a monarchy union and not a political one, it has existed since 1603 onwards.

There was no union of the crowns, it was a single monarch with two crowns, the Crown of Scotland and the crown of England. They are two separate titles and have always been, even when the UK was formed.

  • Comment removed

  • FUCK THE UNION JACK ..........I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK ALBA GU BRATH!!!

  • The royals are from german stock.

  • @1966thewallace The Queen has just as much Scottish stock as she does German, what is German is the house of Hanover.

  • @Englanistan They are 90% german with a little scots blood through the queen mother.

  • You've got a cheek putting a Welsh flag on this video you pretentious trendy fag.

  • IF ANYONE CAN GIVE ME A GOOD SOUND REASON BACKED UP WITH FACTS FOR STAYING IN THE UNION THEN I WOULD BE HAPPY TO BUT THERE IS NO RESON

  • clearly most scots want to say if they want to be in the union or not and is tartan torrys a joke it sucks and is not nice scotland is not going to be a republic it want to keep the queen. if he's in a fantasy land how did he get voted in, again .

  • if this flag belongs to us all why is the english on top of ours is that saying england is better than scotland wales and northern ireland this flag is out dated and is no longer a proud symable of hope and honnor its a flag not a power like it was

  • I couldn't agree with this more - I wish that every single one of the 62,000,000 British people could see this!

  • Actually The Queen is Head of State of 15 Commonwealth realms in addition to the UK. Doesn’t Alex Samond want to keep the Queen? After all she does own parts of Scotland, I have a feeling that isn’t going to go down well with some Scottish people.

  • @RonSuperJet No she doesn't, the Scots are the sovereign of the land of Scotland, unlike in England where the English have always traditionally been 'subjects', the Scots could therefore kick her out tomorrow if there was a need, this has been the way of Scots law since the 1320 Declaration of Arbroath when King Robert I codified this constitution of Scottish Kingship.

It makes the Scots therefore one of the first people ever in the world to have the earliest form of democracy.

  • @MrBEAST127 The Bank of Scotland is a retail bank and has NO powers over interest rates. The Bank of ENGLAND does my point is and you as a unionist should want it to be called the Bank of Britain. Why is the queen consistentley called the queen of ENGLAND then? The figures in this video are wrong support for independence is rising and the no vote is no where near 70%.

  • @SCO190 They reckon now that the SNP will hold a referendum on Scottish independence in 2014, to mark the 700th anniversary of the massive Scottish victory of the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314.

  • YES TO SCOTTISH INDEPENDENCE

The bank of England, The queen of england really sounds united doesent it?

Scottish independence is about the future and we will prospour. The union can offer Scotland nothing.

  • ok in the 300 years we have done alot but what about the 700 years before that the raping, pillaging and murder. We where forced to fight for the english

  • NO TO INDEPENDENCE

  • SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP SNP!

  • Death to this rancid Union!

  • you aren't saying scotland is better in the union you are just saying everybody loves the union stay a while and every scott knows why you say that cause if you said scotland is better part of the union you would be lieing and as i said evrybody knows you would you see

  • IMPORTANT! Check out the GERS report that has just been released on the newsnetscotland website! Scotland subsidises the rest of the UK! We are loaded! Read the other article on why Scotland is better off leaving bankrupt Britain! The FACTS are here finally! All the reasons on why we should become independent! If you want to know how to shut up a unionist, direct them to this website and you wont hear from them again. I can't see Westminster getting round this!Vote YES in the in the REFERENDUM

  • @RonSuperJet

Ohhh a little too much truth for you there?

Unable to justify your comments about the SNP's misuse of money when it is but a drop in the water compared to Westminster?

Why don't you load up your own videos and disable comments, that way nobody can challenge you?

As you will have your say...I will have mine. May I suggest if you are unhappy with that, the solution lies in your hands.

  • And as for the homeless issue..take care of your shit before you fire it in the face of others.

  • @womanism1 I will dare have my say and you will not stop me, who made you god? Tell you what up-load a video or two to YouTube make a positive contribution and people might take your seriously. But right now we heard enough of your spammy spam.

    Long live the union.

  • @RonSuperJet

And the 3b that became 9b for the olympics...what could we have spent that on?????

Keep it up Westminster and your we are a great nation while your own children starve.

We as the uk are a third world country but with snobbery.]

Don't you dare lecture me on the misspent millions, billions even of the uk government.

Get your facts and figures right...boy!!!

Do not, not blame Scotland for your misuse of tax payer money or for the poverty that exists within the UK.

  • Scotland might have been able to do something about the homeless problem if it hadn’t wasted hundreds of millions on the Edinburgh Tram, keep it up SNP and your days will be numbered.

    Long live the union

  • ..on both sides of the pass...it was distressing to say the least and a great appetite supressor. Homelessness is not a Scottish problem, it is a global one.

*the word after property developer should be *than and not *then :)

  • .. it leaves them open to prosecution if the food is bad.

Society is responsible for it's most vulnerable, yet we shirk away from that responsibility with lame excuses and blame others for our lack of responsibility as individuals. Homelessness is our shame, each and every one of us..it is not the shame of the people living on the streets.

May I also say, I was in London a couple of years ago. I took a walk around Hyde Park. On the way to lunch we took an underpass full of homeless people...

  • ..rather it go to ruin or hope that some 'property developer' take it over then make it available at little or no cost to a multitude of people who would volunteer to run it as homeless accommodation. And by homeless accommodation I mean a bed, a shower, a hot meal..open at set times (seasonal of course).

I live within half a mile of 4 major supermarkets who would rather discard food than give it to the homeless..can't blame them, Governement legislation prevents them from donating food as..

  • ..some want accommodation and some can't cope with accommodation. However that said, I strongly feel that all homeless people should be offered accommodation to some degree. That, however, comes down to the Government and your local councils and their greed, not to mention their lack of empathy and sympathy.

I look around my home town and see buildings, beautiful old buildings, empty and decaying. They would make great dormitory style accommodation. Unfortunately your council would ...

  • ..woman having cosmetic surgery, sure she looks good on the outside, but inside she is still old, tired and dying.

Now, if you took the north of England to, say the Midlands, then did a comparison with Scotland and the life expectancy I think you may find the statistics would change. I may be wrong but then again I may not be.

As for the issue of the homeless, this is going to be a long one....sorry. First we need to establish that even among homeless people there are variants to consider...

  • @pluto847

Scotland is a great place to live. It is a beautiful country with generally welcoming people. Yes, it has it's problems but no more than other countries.

As for statistics, I have a theory on that. Thatcher destroyed the north of the UK industry moving what she could to the South. Labour did nothing to counteract this other than talk about regenerating the cities. What good does regenerating a city do while the most vulnerable live below the poverty line?

    It is similar to a....

  • Thanks for uploading this. I genuinely hope when the referendum comes in 2015 (or there roundabout), it won't be a 'YES' even though I fear it is moving that way. "Proudly Scottish, Prouldy British, Proud to share this beautiful, funny rock in the North Atlantic with my English and the Welsh neigbours". I know tthat sounds all mushy and cheesy, but long may we work and live together into the future!

  • ...years of subjugation.

The English have no right to decide Scotland's future, only the Scottish people have that right.

  • @womanism1 If Scotland is such a great place to live, why are Scotland's poor so badly neglected, and why do they have the lowest life expectancy in the entire industrialized world? Does this upset you. It should. Several SCots live out in the steets with no home, no shelter, and no food.

  • @flossock

Re effects/affects, only if you are English and have sub-standard education, but in my English class, where Westminster is not allowed to fabricate exam results, you just wouldn't cut it sweetie -:)

At anytime England decides it would like a referendum on independence. feel free. Afterall. why would any country as great as England want to be saddled with such a burden as Scotland?

As one man with a turban said, and this is not a direct quote. Better 3/4 years of wrangling then 300

  • keep britain britain its what keeps us a know by the world. its not about england it about the history we all have from the start to the very end we should last. Been united gives us strenght. theres no need for the snp to fuck the history of britain otherwise if scotland stay with us then we are truely Great Britain

I can't see Westminster getting round this! Vote YES in the in the REFERENDUM

  • @mrkjames9 LOL The GERS report? Tell me you are not that stupid

  • @1MagicAndMayhem1 lol where did you get those figures? What a lot of nonsense!

  • @mrkjames9 Figured? Are you stoned or just stupid? Read the comments dumbarse

  • Vote for Independence for feck sake... :)

  • @ flossock

Would that be because Scottish people are too stupid to realise what is best for them?

    5.2 million - vs - 51million

Frankly I couldn't care less if Devon or Cornwall wanted independence, I don't see it my place to vote as they are in England....you know, seperate country and all that.

Oh, and the word you are looking for is affects, not effects, but then I am Scottish and the English language is obviously beyond me as is my right to vote on self determination.

  • @womanism1 We can all vote on self determination, but for it to be a true vote for self determination then everyone else in the UK (those directly affected by the vote) should be able to vote. And effect/affect was questionable in that sentence.

  • I will vote for the union if there is a referendum, but I think that it is only fair that the rest of the UK vote in the referendum as well. Otherwise it would be like just letting Devon vote in a general election, determining something that effects us all.

  • @flosssock Why? If the people of Scotland want an independence referendum, why should the UK get to vote in it? If they did, and Scotland voted for independence (50%+) and the rest voted to remain (50%+), then the people of Scotland would be denied a voice. Not get an IQ higher than a 5 year old. And, it's "affects", not "effects".

  • respect the wishes of the Scottish people will MP's give no answer when asked what % of Scots will it take for independence to be granted. In fact one MP hinted that if a yes vote was obtained, perhaps a second vote would be necessary!!

You talk of seperatism and division, we are not one country. The UK is 4 seperate countries and all have the right of self determination if the people wish that.

Again, I am not your brother or sister, I am part of a union forced on me, lets not forget that.

  • Now if I was a conspiracist, I would think sabotage is afoot. Holding back the economy and growth of the oil industry, making several thousand oil workers redundant.

Isn't it slightly twisted that Westminster can pick and choose when to interfere in the Scottish Justice System. Isn't it infuriating when some people are too blind to see the discrepencies. Salmond is right to challenge it.

Scotland has a right to self determination and for a country that claims, as England does, it will

  • @RonSuperJet

This peace and harmony you talk off and the mutal respect you so obviously believe exsists. Is it the same respect Westminster afforded Scotland when they levied a tax on the oil industry with no consultation and no forewarning? Is it the same respect they are showing Scotland by allowing English courts to overturn Scottish sentences. The same Westminster that held it's hands up to the world claiming they could do nothing to interfere with Scottish law when we released Megrahi?

  • what bull..s i want independence i dont hate anyone in the uk, i just love scotland more. does that mean i hate my english family in birmingham ern NO

proud to be british.... yes totally.. though i'm scottish first......... stand together yes i will in the commonwealth.. work together in hamony yes.. import export. we shall remember them ofcourse declairing war on england would be declairng war on scotland even after independence

  • I am most proud of my English identity, but, having said that also love the United Kingdom. Scotland should not break away it would ruin the entire UK and leave us all weak. I know many of you think 'fuck the English' but lets be honest we are brothers, sisters, cousins etc and we should remain as such. I love the Scottish, Welsh and N.Irish and do not want to see any of them break away. Long Live the United Kingdom.

  • @MrXray2011 We are not brothers we never will be ,good freinds and neighbours yes rhat we can be.

  • @1966thewallace Fair enough, Friends it is, but... Friends which belong to the same country.

  • @MrXray2011 Understand this we are not the same country.

  • @1966thewallace Well we are really you know the United Kingdom.

  • @MrXray2011 Sorry pal but we are not one country !checkoslavakia was a union of two different countrys who became independant ,they were then the checks and the slovaks and they both are very happy .They still get on very well with each other.

  • poke Salmond with a stick, saying.....dare you....dare you, go on then, call a ref on Independence are the same body of MP's that can call their own ref on Scottish Independence but won't.

So, to all you English that claim it is Salmond that prevents Independence for Scotland. I say to you, call on your Government, which has more right, at present, to call for a ref on Independence than the Scottish Parliment.....dare you,.....go
