i was admitted to the hospital at 14, and i met a friend there. he tld me about Within Temptation, and when i was discharged, i started listening to them more, and everytime i hear a song, i think of him.
Before, this song was just beautiful but now when I listen to it I feel like i'm going to cry because my cousin just passed away.
She died in a car accident five days before her 19th birthday. It wouldn't have hurt me as much as it does if it weren't for the fact that I had drawn an angel that looked exactly like her on the night of the accident.

Yes, those were the days of respect, honour, courage, valor, ethics, chivalry and knighthood.

(continued post) Within Temptation's music will have a longer shelf life because it adheres to some STANDARDS, something that gets too little respect today. They use melody and harmony, and their musicianship is solid. They have a world-class lead vocalist. I don't like Jazz--but it has a solid foundation in enduring standards. My likes and dislikes--and yours as well--have nothing to do with whether something is quality or trash.

Everyone has their own concept of what good music is, so stop b*tching about it! Everyone has their own taste in music that appeals to them the most. Ultimately, music is an art, and art is an expression of who we are. I was told to listen to this, and though her voice is beautiful, as well as the instrumentals, its not what I would deem good music for myself. With that being said, I am not a mainstream artist fan. That does not mean I dont have good taste in music, it's just not what I like.
