all the decals were custom made at a local shop in Savannah. You just show em the logo you want on like a print out or on the internet and they will make it for you in what ever size you want, the big windshield one was like $40

I live in Canada... Vancouver.. I'll be picking up my 2005 rx8 with 45000 km from dealer hopefully tomorrow. What should be some of the first things I do to it? Dealer says they will do the 150+ point inspection.. etc.. but its all bs... I heard a lot about changing or topping up oil fairly soon.. what kind of oil should I use.. there seems be a debate regarding this issue...

@1yakko1 Use the recommended Mazda Mineral Oil (do not use synthetic), and get it changed at the dealership every 5000 KM's. Depends on how frequently you drive, but I usually top up every month with 1/2 liter of 5W30 Mazda Oil (and I fill up usually once a week). Check the oil every 3 or 4 gas ups, and use Chevron 94 Octane, as it contains no ethanol.

@1yakko1 Oops, I mean I fill up with Gas once a week (not oil), from a 1/4 tank. Never run it empty. Check oil every 3rd or 4rth fill or at least once a month. I also live in Van.

Yeah man , i just got 4 tickets haha. Whats the specs on it such as turbo.. i know its a freeflow exhaust. The boost is only at like 6psi did you have it up higher?

Its the GReddy turbo kit, i cant remember what size the turbo is but its fairly small. The boost is at 6 psi cause its very dangerous to go any higher on the renesis engine, you will blow the apex seals, I had it set to 8 psi at one time and it did pretty good but I tuned it back down to help with gas a little. So what were the tickets for??

No the RX-8 does not come turbo'ed like the RX-7's use to. Its running a 13B rotary. I spent a little over 6,000 for everything.

No its still the Renessis engine and not the FD kind that comes with the 7's however in a few months I will be putting RX-7 rotors in my engine. The conversion to put a FD series motor in the car is very simple. Its nothing like dropping in a 20B 3 rotor in it :-P

Its not so good in the snow seeing as its rear wheel drive. Having the manual transmission isnt to bad in heavy traffic but your foot does get sore from the constant pushing in and out of the clutch pedal and as long as you can drive a manual I havnt had any problems with roll backs on hills.
