  • Love the little twist on the last note at 01:24

  • Wow, only 2 additional dislikes since crazybeardave's comment. Amazing.

  • hey how are ya hey how are ya

  • this is without doubt the most addictive and mesmerizing song ever. plus the game is fucking awesome to.

  • As I kid I played a lot of FF7. When I reached Cosmo Canyon there was something so surreal about the visuals, music, and that particular point in the storyline.

I got pretty sick one day and I took one of my mother's candles and sat in the middle of the living room on the hardwood floor while imagining that I was having my own fire with a crew of the characters. My mother said she had never seen me so calm and so relaxed; a serene child bathing in tranquility.

  • I didn't mind when my kids played this game, I loved the sound track.

  • @momsylf haha you rock, I had to hide this game from my mom when I was little. I didnt have a memory card so I had to throw a blanket over the red light so no one would know the playstation was on when I went to school haha

  • Wow, I remember knowing this song was awesome, but somewhere I forgot how awesome. Oh the memories coming back to me... life was more simple, more magical

  • Am I the only one who think that this is the best soundtrack from Final Fantasy 7?

  • @hachimon8 I think the same :3

  • @hachimon8 best is anxious hearth

  • When I was a kid, I used to go to Cosmo Canyon and then turn off the TV but not the speakers, and listen to this song as I fell asleep.

  • I was listening to Ray Lynch - Celestial Soda Pop and it has a part in there that sounds just like a part in this tune - GREAT Surprise at work :D Check it out. Bugenhagen approves.

  • Red XIII, I mean, Nanaki... is my favourite character of all Final Fantasy games :D

  • The experience playing through this game the first time, feeling the story is unimaginable. You cant possible tell someone about it. When I found out Red XIII's history, I cried.

  • I found an awesome hip hop/rap band that does rap covers of the story of video games. They are called: Random or Mega Ran. You'll find them on YouTube by the name Mega Ran. They do some crazy stuff with Final Fantasy VII music. Sorry to sound like one of those annoying advertisements, but this band is awesome.

  • @explodinglampshade Thanks for that.

  • No Final Fantasy game has been better.

Jump the shark moment was x2 when they made a direct sequel. No FF game should never be inter-related with the next. Big fucking no no..

By the way, best music in FF7 this here...

  • a friend once told me you could kill the boss with a Phoenix Down:

    *miss*

    *miss*

    *miss*

    *miss*

    *miss*

oh fuck off, what the hell do you know?!

  • @TrueGameFreak nah thats in FFX or FFX-2 you can kill a boss with Pheonix Down cuz the boss is an Undead serpent that u fight underwater, not FF7 lol =p

  • @TrueGameFreak nah thats in FFX or FFX-2 you can kill a boss with Pheonix Down cuz the boss is an Undead serpent that u fight underwater, not FF7 lol =p <<-----mmm...k...i guess there is a boss u can kill with a potion not a pheonix down, wtf i killed everything the normal way :((

  • FF7/8 have the best music in the entire series IMHO.

  • You know, I learned a lot from these comments, such as... Wtf? You can use a phoenix down on the boss here? I barely kill him, with one person alive, and now I JUST find out you can use a phoenix down?!!?!?!?!?

  • @noobpwnager Phoenix down didn't work for me dude. But yeah, a couple of tough healing spells and hi-potions = piece of piss. I didn't know that the first time. Still, it paled in comparison to Demon Gate the first time round. I thought I'd be forever trapped in the temple of the ancients. But not the last time, no. HAHAHAA! I took the time to learn Aeris' ultimate limit break; invincibility baby! Sure she dies, but it was worth it just to wipe the smirk off that overgrown cat-flaps face.

  • @iirfaithless lmao i just had yuffie and used throw and i baught a bunch of higher weapon copies and just kept throwing a bunch of them lol. was ironicly effective..all this talk means imma go start a new game RIGHT now. i love it when my FF7 blood kicks in and i play the game again...and again..never gets old ive lost count of how many times lol

  • @iirfaithless well i have the non greatest hits version of the game and they have a couple of tiny changes in the game and i think the phoenix down being effective on the boss doesnt work anymore because it works for me just fine and i have non greatest edition disks. also apparently Cloud gets gang raped in a bathtub at the mansion in the beginning and i dont..ever remember that happening the first time i played(first time was greatest hits edition) lol it scared me and scarred me ;-;

  • i can cry with it

  • Friend : DUDE YOU STUCK AT GI NATTAK?!

    Me: Yeah.

Friend : YOU SUCK LAH. *takes X-Potion and one-shots him*

    Me : *sigh*

  • Learned how to play this song on guitar. My guitar learning is complete now.

  • Man... this game was amazing. Hard to think I was a freshman in High School when I played this. Still my favorite game and soundtracks of all time. FF VII saved the playstation.

  • One of the best tracks in the game, hands down.

  • 6 people quit the game because their buggy broke down and they couldnt find cosmo canyon

  • I've played FF VII so long ago... PSX, PS2, on my old PC, now i've made the "impossible" to run it on Win7, and... It'll be allways the same... Fantastic, epic, there are no words capable to glorify THIS GAME, story, sound, all this emotions... When i hear this soundtrack there are allways tears in my eyes...

  • favorite song in 7 its epic

  • Definitely my favorite FFVII track. Used Red XIII extensively throughout my latest playthrough. He's my bro, and this song takes me back to when I first played the game.

  • nanaki :(

  • FF8 wasn't very deep. FF7 had loads going on, you got FF7, crisis core, Avant children, Dirge, Dirge: Lost Chapter, Before Crisis, and still there's room for expansion.

I mean I want a game set before Crisis Core that expands on Genesis & Angeal.

  • @HazzaTL i think these one called before crisis for the phone

  • @eftultimate yeah I did mention BC (Before Crisis).

  • @HazzaTL oh yeah my bad

  • @hoho12789 ujelly bro?

  • Such a sad tale about Nanaki's father :(

  • who the fuck voted dont like for this??? 6 trolls?

  • OMG I LOVE AFRICA!!!

  • Most important part in the game if you want to be powerful. Stock up on HP Materia early, getting 1000 gold from the triceritops near the blownup reactor. It makes the game too easy though. Wait, how do I remember this?

  • One of the most memorable FFVII tracks ever for me... it makes me wanna set up a campfire and start doing tribal dancing around it... dunno why.

I remember when I was 11 and first borrowed this game from a friend... when I got to Cosmo Canyon I kept the game running in the menu for about 3 hours, I was so mesmerized by the music I just didn't want to play on... but then I did.

And fought the boss inside the "regular" way, when I found out a Phoenix Down could kill it i got pissed. Memories.

  • @YinYang19

Thanks for the nostalgic comment. I can relate to it, I loved playing FF7 very much as a teenager.

  • Hey man if you like this song then i highly recommend this album by a band called Ancient brotherhood called vortex rhythms music of sedona!! this album reminded me of this song!

  • @browndemon386

Interesting... I'll look it up, thanks for the info.

  • @YinYang19 lol yea they usually give you that hard boss with easy solution ..a phoenix down can kill the fake president on the train in final fantasy 8 as well. i accidently used it on him when i was 9 a year after the game came out instead of reviving renoa and i was like WTF JUST HAPPENED.

  • @YinYang19 x-potion was the best way because phoenix down could miss :) i remember when i fought gi regularly it took me 4 hours to get past him :D

  • @YinYang19 i've played this game for over 10 yrs now.. one of my favorites.. and i still didnt know till now that u can kill him with a phoenix down ahahah

  • @YinYang19 i've played this game for over 10 yrs now.. one of my favorites.. and i still didnt know till now that u can kill him with a phoenix down ahahah

  • @YinYang19 It was actually an X-Potion, Phoenix Down would MISS.

  • I freaking love this song... just thought of it the other day.

God bless YouTube, and the uploader! =D

  • Playing league of legends while listening to this. My power level jumped. A lot.

  • legendary? No. This theme is an artifact :P

  • 6 people hit the wrong button because their eyes were too misty....

  • I can see orange canyons, dark sky with glowing stars and a huge meteor...wait what?

  • this may very well be one of the best songs ever made, all categories.

  • Bought this game on amazon, shipped a week ago, almost beat it, best investment I've EVER made.

  • I wonder would and E blues harp be good playin' this? My friend picked the tune out on my guitar t'other day and I wanted to sit round a huge fire with all my friends under the stars.

Life is better for having played FF7

  • Grandpa! I am Nanaki, son of Seto! I will protect this planet.

    Brings back amazing memories.

  • @deondre67 I want to "thumbs up" this a thousand times.

  • i dont know how the hell they've done it but every song of FFVII makes so sad and brings back so many memories....the world of FFVII it may not have the graphics but with a masterpiece story and a magnificent combination of sound made u feel like you knew that world for LIFE..:'(

  • this song relates to my indian tribe song that we do when were camping

  • You know, if you listen close enough in the scene when Nanaki finds Seto, you can vaguely hear someone saying "USE A FUCKING SOFT POTION!"

  • @SmashGenesis hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha fuck yeah hahaha

  • Gimme some love for the legend himself~ Nobuo Uematsu. How he's does it game after game is beyond me.

  • This makes me want to Play FF7... *runs off to play it*

  • @Xspendo I'm at Cosmo Canyon atm... totally not leaving XD

  • FF7 has the best music than any game EVER made! and tbh i still prefer its graphics over 360 and ps3 :D

  • @TheWhatify I agree completely, but imagine if they remade the game with the same Graphics in Advent Children

  • @DestiniesDragon wouldnt be the same....

  • At this point in the game, I felt like I was in a Native American setting because of the music, which I thought was a pretty awesome effect to achieve.

On a side note, the dungeon here scared the crap out of me when I was little, especially the contorting rock face at the end of it.

  • Final Fantasy VII was rated among the Greatest Hits!

  • The BEST Final Fantasy!!!

And THIS Fantasy, was really the FINAL!

    No. 7 = Perfection!

  • @YoungBloodX No doubt my friend, no doubt.

  • @YoungBloodX i still like final fantasy 8 the best... FF7 was great, but people really needlessly hate on FF8 for no reason at all, except for the reason that it was a romance story.

  • @ZeroJinKui

And taking 2 hours to draw enough magic to proceed to the next area doesn't have anything to do with it?

  • @YoungBloodX no one game can compare final fantasy 7, after more than ten years it's still in my heart

  • @YoungBloodX Yes, it truly was. After all, how could I forget such gripping as emotional dialogue as...

    AERITH: This guy are sick.

  • i always had more feeling to the characters that were petrified instead of killed i dont know why

  • @kouyung Because they're idolized, literally. People notice statues more than headstones. It probably helps to be at the top of a ridge overlooking the canyon, with the arrows still lodged in your petrified body.

One of the first tunes I learned to play on guitar. Legen...wait for it... dary!

  • @Suolucidir im not talking about just seto im also talking about blank, palom and porom etc..

  • @Suolucidir oh my bad didnt read your first sentence properly

  • EPIC.

  • It seems some of the best art comes out with something incredible to base it upon. It almost feels like Uematsu couldn't go wrong with a game like FF7.

  • Any songs in any way related to Jenova and Sephiroth can fuck off. This is the best song in FFVII by a mile.

  • Peruvian Flute Band AHHHHH!

  • Hey man, thank you. I thought I was one of the only people who really liked it...man was I wrong.

  • Hey man, thank you. I thought I was one of the only people who really liked it...man was I wrong.

  • this song is magical

  • No silly! You should have the sad version of this song! IT'S HELLLLL BETTER!

  • @MrBonsoy you mean the song Great Warrior? i love that song!

  • @MrBonsoy I think not.

    But then again... it's opinion.

Most seem to like this one

  • This is one of the best town themes ever.

  • 고래사냥....kinda sounds similar

  • gahh...I have to go play this game again

  • its so harmonic, i wish i could be 8 again and reply this game and be in the moment again.

  • so this is where charizard got his burning glans from

  • @IskArioT27 charizard is older

  • DAMN GOOOOD SONG! Good memories

  • it's so pretty (: memoriesss~

  • 1:25 - 1:38 = the most heart rendering, epic crescendo ever

  • Nanaki howling next to his petrified father is one of the earliest video game events I can remember that actually brought a tear to my eye. This song really brings it back...

  • Still one of my favourite songs :)

They gotta make a remake of this game with graphics and everything, i bet it would be better than final fantasy 13 and maybe 14.

  • I remeber when I found out that Nanaki was 15-16. I was like, "WTF!!!!"

  • This game was released on PSN for about $10.

    Sony WIN.

  • One of my all-time favorites. :)

  • Phoenix down Cosmo Canyon boss yawn

  • Ahh this brings back memories!

    Good times!

  • Red XIII was always in my team with cloud and cid

  • One of my best friends as a kid and I used to play this game for hours. I haven't seen him in forever, but for some reason this music always reminds me of him when I hear it.

  • Nanakii is my favourite chars in FF VII...

i love this music too much

  • supradarky thanks i appreciate all the the time you took uploading all these great themes and putting them into order, i agree with almost all yoor list lol but there a few FF themes missing!

  • This is the best music of FFVII, so cool!

  • seriously! i love this song! it's so different but its full of beauty and peace

  • Ah, so peaceful music. I stayed in this village a long time just because of the enchanting soundtrack. I hope that a remake will come, I enjoyed this game extremely much.

  • Turks theme is my favorite...

    Haha Rude and Reno..haha

  • So many memories...Red XIII was my favorite.

  • amen to that! NANAKIIII <333

  • One of the better songs in the game. I remember taking my time at this part just to hear it more. Great Warrior is a little better, but both are memorable works... mainly due to the fact that Uematsu stepped out of his comfort zone for these (and scored a win)

  • Well said ^_^

  • Man. I can't put this game down when I played. I finished it in 5 days.

  • While sitting on my chair, and listening to this song just remember me how the hell this game is so damn good/beautiful.I think I'll get my ps2 back and start a new game quickly as I can !

  • I'm learnin' to play this with an ocarina =)

  • So cool! Don't give up!

  • @venom0126 cant wait to not listen to that

  • @venom0126 of time?

  • Brings tears to my eyes... memories of the past , present and future, that is, the timeless existence of soul.

  • This song is amazing!

  • just learned how to play this on guitar and piano by ear XD

  • Long live Bugenhagen! Damn I need get done with all this damn college work and play some oldschool RPGs ASAP

  • this track is awesome, i know first time i made it up to cosmo canyon i didnt know what the hell was going on but i sure did enjoy the tune sitting by the fire. it seems right

  • I once knew someone who could play this tune on Tifa's piano in her house. Epic song.

  • great track. i like the remixedish version that plays after you beat the boss and he meets his father too

  • in 1:36 i always had the words"shadow on the wall" in my head.anyone knows what i mean?

  • i always get this mixed up with nanaki's theme from when you meet him in the machine with aeris

  • This theme is great! I don't even know how many times I've heard it xD

  • I kinda of liked it before but after I put my playlist on random and this kept on coming up I realized how good it was!

  • I could listen to this for hours...i can to i have the soundtrack! Natch!

  • oh my.. i remember back when we got ahold on this game around its release and got to this spot a day or three later... we just sat and listened to the music for a long time =)

recently began to replay it again and passed this point the other day.. brought a big smile to my face.

    i'm such a nostalgic bleeder. >.>

  • just.... the best

  • I love the part when Nanaki sees he's petrified father and he starts to howl

  • Indeed, Red's best part in the game hands down. That song's The Great Warrior, not this one, but still good. All the music in Cosmo Canyon was great, it always made me wish there was more to do there in the game.

  • resumiendo q te a gustado xD

esta es mi favorita junto la de aerith, era una KK en el juego pero su cancion la mejor

    pd: 5/5 stars

  • this was a great part of the story with Red XIII...

  • i just LOVE IT...

  • Epic? No. This theme......is....legendary.

  • @FuneralSorrow legendary? hahaha no, this theme is eternal more than alpha and omega.!!!

  • @FuneralSorrow Legendary Epicness!!

  • Cosmo Canyon part was one of the coolests in the game. Of course: the music helps a lot.

  • Its So Sad That Bugenhagen Dies T_T :P

  • i dont remember him dying...

  • Uummm It Was Disc 2 Or 3 Well I Saw that he Dies :/

  • Alos...where could i get this as a mp3 file?

  • This reminds me of Nanakis part of the game

-I know the music if from that- but...It makes me think of the good old days in FF7..Man..The memories. 5/5 Fav and I have one more thing to add...why cand they use a soft on Nanakis dad.

  • If I remember correctly, his petrified state wasn't brought on by a spell or magic.

I think that's the only time when a soft will work.

  • True but in FF9 they used some...umm Forgot the name soft on Blank who got petrified by woods..not a spell eather. So...It should at least be worth a shot for them to try right?

  • They used Supersoft, if I remember correctly :-) I agree with you though; if only Seto could be revived..! And then he could fuse with RedXIII/Nanaki and their limit break would be Cosmo Love; father and son watching the Super Bowl, and the enemies die from overexposure of happiness :-P

  • You are either completely insane or startlingly brilliant.

  • Hahaha a moment there I thought you were gonna launch an attack against me :P

Thanks though, although I don't remember writing that comment, so I think I'd go under your former claim :P

  • petrifies i remember in the final fantasy universe

    palom & porom

    blank

    nanaki's dad

  • I Rememember When This Was My Fav Song In FF7 :D But Not Anymore :P

  • so touching... :')

  • The sad version of this song is really touching. Oh, and name Red Nanaki for kicks, Bugenhagen will make ya laugh.

    Cloud "Nanaki? Who is Nanaki?"

Bugenhagen "Nanaki? Why Nanaki (Red XIII) is Nanaki."

  • Actually, Bugenhagen says that even if you name him something else...

  • esta cancion es genial

me da escalofrios cuando la escucho

  • This makes me want to avenge something... anyhing really... I shall avenge you Pepperoni Hot Pocket!!!... That would be a crappy reason to die.
