I don't know why Pastor Schettler resigned and I don't care. I can say that when I was called to preach 21 years ago @ 16 years old...his teaching was such a blessing through the Beka book video that I have found my self still marked by Schettler kindness and grace that he gave off as he taught the word of God. And for that I am grateful. Schettler's teachings were awsome
Love reading the all the comments from the immature whining, crying babies. Grow up. So they had strict rules Big Deal! It didn't kill you. Hopefully some of those values rubbed off on you and now you apply it to your own life. I was there for 1 semester and loved it. If you have a hard time following rules don't go! The college isn't perfect but I'm glad I went and would love to have my children go there.
Man can not make one convert but that never stopped christian with their systems, buildings, programs, colleges and the like. Christians are the ones who will say Lord Lord, didn't we do many wonderful works in your name and He will say depart from me i NEVER knew you.
@Pfsif Christianity is a belief that Jesus took our punishment for what we have done wrong, instead of us. Dont lump christians into one group that believe our "works" will provide a way into heaven.
that school should be outlawed and boarded up....it is a republican mill of hate and bias...bunch of bible thumping nazi hypocrite brainwashed gay bashing phobes...i hope that school gets banned for hate speech and it will be forgotten for all time...
@1Rayovac HATE SPEECH!! PCC teaches to respect the President and that if we were ever in the situation to save him, we should do it. Of course they don't believe in his morals or ideals but they still know that God has ordained him as our leader and that we should respect him as so.
No....I didn't agree with all the rules...I'm not sure you would find many that did. Education is the concern, whether accredited or not does not matter...students have been getting quality jobs around the US with their PCC degree for some time now. Personal dates may seem like "nothing bad" or illegal to you, but if my daughter was there..I wouldn't want her going anywhere with any guy I've never met, or have the potential to not like...Its called parental courtesy idiot...think about it!
4 years I spent on campus at PCC...I now have a daughter in this life and have wondered how I might fare of the thought of her gone to college (especially in this world we live in today). Parents never worried about what might happen to us while we were there, because I'm sure every other student was like me in the fact that when they talked to their parents on Sunday, they would whine and complain about all the "stupid" rules....like I did....
I attended PCC for one year, and during this year I had opportunity to listen to some of the greatest preachers of this century, and although I am not returning, PCC has my prayers
This past school year was the first year I had heard him on the dvd's. Bible Doctrine's class. I can honestly say I've never heard anyone like him. He's absolutley amazing! He helped me understand so much more than I ever thought I would. It's a shame that he's so far from PCC now, but no matter where he goes, I know he'll be able to help others as much as he's helped me.
i agree!!! i'm doing his bible class right now. it's really applicable and he has amazing illustrations...yea, i hope he's still blessing and touching other lifes out there.
That's sad. He was one bright spot on that otherwise legalistic and frankly brainwashing campus. Someone here said "they don't force you to attend and live as they do." You're only half correct. They certainly do NOT force you to attend, but if you DO decide to, rest assured that they will do their utmost to make you live as they WANT you to. Frankly, it is a brainwashing mob mentality, and I thank the Lord that He brought me there, showed me what faith is NOT, and then led me out.
I went to PCC for 1 semester. It was hell. But Pastor Schettler was a very nice guy. i worked with his son at the book store and he was a nice guy too.
First of all yes it is just good to go to this place for a Bible type job because any good place for say business type jobs would see it's not accredited and wonder what is going on there. It's not an actual educational institution, just a place of business.
If you go there, yes you have to do what they say, when they say it period even if it's nothing bad or illegal like say personal dates off campus, going to the movies to relax a little or listen to music with headphones because that would elminate the music might bug your roommate factor.
graduated from there a lifetime ago..didn't know he resigned...yeah rules are strict but most come from equally strict christian schools and you know the rules going in and agree to them..believe it or not we had a great time in spite of crazy rules...most people that go there don't agree with everything and live normal lives coming out.....i did....i am hardly conservative now but will never forget how hard we laughed in the dorms every night and great times at the beach and ball games. : )
I was there when he was just the youth pastor. GREAT man!! Very dynamic speaker. We always wanted him to speak at chapel, church, etc. Hated to see him go, but he brought laughter to a place that sometimes was very hard and far away from home.
PCC is far from perfect, but they do not force you to attend or even force you to live as they do. I managed to go through four years and then proceed onto to a MD degree. It's not just a "bible" college.
pensacola crap college is going down and like mcdonalds says, I'm lovin it. you can have a good school Christian or not that understands what colleges should be about, this place is horrible being it's not accredited and yes I know private schools that are accredited and too many dumb things in florida at this place
well this is what happens when you try to control what a preacher preaches about, this was the sign hopefully that starts the end to place like this, couldn't believe he quit when I first heard it from friends down there, rammel I think died, not sure if dell johnson is gone as well, I was there when mutsch left
You are the exact type of zombie that they want to produce. They want to spread their ill conceived "message" through means of negativity and overbearing repetition. You know who else used these methods to spread his hatred? Adolf Hitler had an entire nation at his side attempting to exterminate Jews and other minorities. I don't blame you or hate you, you are just a victim of brainwash and the mob mentality.
Campus church?? Thats un-biblical. So much for the Local New Testiment Church. Looks like the only way that church will die, is if the enrolment drops. Glad I go to a real bible college
LOL, Oh Davedunlap06, you are what I laugh most about in religion. It is all about the "Big I and Little You." LOL I went to Moody Bible Institute so I know what I'm talking about.
Something most people don't know about CC is that it existed before the college began. I even have a source for that. I work at the Sword of the Lord in Murfreesboro, TN. One of our tapes, T1331, is a message by Mrs. Horton at one of our Ladies Jubilees. The speaker mentions Mrs. Horton teaching Bible classes at the church that became the Campus Church in 1972.
davedunlap06. it is called Campus Church cuz it is on the campus. the church is in the Crown Centre and very beutiful. I loved to sit and listen to pastor Shettler POreach the WORD of GOD.
Pastor Shettler, wow, he is resigned. I remember him as an enthusiastic pastor when I attended PCC. Sounds like something political happened behind his reasons for leaving, hopefully it was just time to move forward and not politics.
