  • this isnt travel u douches,it was a spin move and u can take anothor step after.....

  • travel !

    but nice move ;)

  • this is travel lol he left his pivot foot. but still a nice ass move.

  • lebron traveled

  • this is why lebron will never be as good as kobe. lol!

  • @MrDarkKobe24 then u dont fucking play ball dumbass.. its called a spin move.. lmfao.

  • Ahaa people keep pointing out how kobe is traveling when lebron travels every game

  • That was a travel. If he bounced the ball while spinning, then take two steps and shoot, it would not be a travel.

  • @MrDarkKobe24 Ok, even if that a travel. Then what? He's suck? A dude with 5 NBA Championships...

  • @HARDisTHEword

take a chill-pill. I'm a kobe fan and i like him and his fadeaways but he took like 3-4 steps

  • @MrDarkKobe24 Chill pill? LOL I'm actually very chilling when I comment that. Its cool that your a fan of him too, but I just curious what the point of pointing out his extra step move? Also, I think that was not a travel because there something in the NBA rule book that stated if you spin ur pelvis foot or something like that, a extra step is "ok." I'm not sure which rule it is, but I heard from a NBA analysis said that once and a lot of others people mentioned it. I'm too lazy to look it up :P

  • @HARDisTHEword haha okay im actualy from Sweden, so I have never heard about that rule before :P Thanx for telling :)

  • wow..that was crazy..

BUT - he traveled. He took 3 steps w/o dribbling after the spin.

    but still, nice move..

  • @zero1two3four5six fuck u fag he didn't travel

  • @superchamp81 ok i dont need your little immature reply - but since when is it LEGAL to take THREE steps?? i mean, IT IS VERY OBVIOUS if you know how to count.

    -he dribbled between two guys

    -he dribbled between his legs

-picked up the ball w/his right foot ON the floor and left foot OFF the floor

-then he put his left foot down - then picks it up

-plants his right foot - then his left foot comes down and he shoots the jumper.

    -

  • @superchamp81 in fact - he took FOUR steps if you pause it and count every step he takes after he picks up the ball

  • im going to steal his moves and use them in my basketball game, that is if i can finish with them.....

  • He didnt set his pivot until he spinned enough said

  • @adventure1011y

if you would have read my last comment

    i said i was joking

  • @thug8200

    i was kidding brohemm

cant stand people that talk all that mj bs.

  • @ryzo58 No Jordan could do that in his sleep! LOL! I kid.

  • mj coulda done with his eyes closed and a sandwhich in his hand....

  • @ryzo58 nope

  • @ryzo58 then y didnt he do it cus jordan never even imajine doin a 360 fade

  • sweet!

i wonder if he could have done that without traveling though? i know MJ could have.

  • this is amazing thats why i love watching kobe because i could learn new moves from him i actually took this and added it to my game it really works i get people with it all the time i even changed it up a little and made it one of my signature move

  • Wow, he burned like half the team.

  • monta's spin move is better besides he travled

  • @Wubzey123

And this is why your a dumbass this is not a travel dumbfuck

  • i think you are all real geeks and need to shut up chill.

  • @jackod2006

nah, don't get confused between being a geek, and having basketball iq.

  • one extra step before the shot = travelling

  • u just saw why Kobe is better than MJ. its quite simple really. Kobe has more skill (ballhandling, shooting, scorer - and dont tell me MJ had 10 scoring titles to Kobes 2, if Kobe was "the man" on his team his whole career, especially in his younger days, he would have 12) people dont realize that if MJ was with shaq they would go to shq first too. u just go to someone that big. but people dont see MJ played against single coverage in the finals. while Kobe got tripled vs boston and still won

  • @mambaKB24mvp i love kobe, but you're a fucking idiot

  • 1...2...3. A travel! Oh wait, its pivot foot. Sry its not :)

  • If you don't see a travel here, you are either ignorant or stupid. I'm a huge Kobe fan and that was a beautiful move, but that was clearly a travel.

  • @dkthebeast92

get a copy of the NBA rules, read Rule 4 sect III a. (1) and Rule 10 sect XIV b. (2), and write it down here for us once you find it.

then, find a piece of paper and write 'I shall not pretend to know the rules without reading them first'

  • @dkthebeast92 im glad i wasn't the only one who realized this. this was a AMAZING move, but he needed an extra step at the end to accomplish it, its clear, he takes three steps...

  • @whomiketrann

    @whomiketrann

Do you know when he ended his dribble?

Do you know what ends a dribble?

Do you know how many steps you can take AFTER you end your dribble?

    You clearly don't.

Dribble ends when two hands on the ball.

You are allowed two steps AFTER your dribble ends.

His left foot was on the ground, then two hands, then right, left.

You jokers really need to pick up the rule book like we do.

  • @CastorFrost and its not when 2 hands touch the ball.. its when u pick up ur dribble.. from ur last bounce. once the ball is up u have 2 steps left. he clearly travels

  • @mgbadboyz

    Rule 4

    Section III-Dribble

A dribble is movement of the ball, caused by a player in control, who throws or taps the ball into the air or to the floor.

    a. The dribble ends when the dribbler:

    (1) Touches the ball simultaneously with both hands

    NBA rules

    And you were saying?

  • @CastorFrost The first foot to touch the ground when u pick up the ball is ur pivot foot.. in this case.. its his right foot and he clearly picked up his pivot foot.

  • @mgbadboyz

    Rule 4

    Section VIII-Pivot

    a. A pivot takes place when a player, who is holding the ball, steps once or more than once in any direction with the same foot, with the other foot (pivot foot) in contact with the floor.

Here it is questionable. However, you still don't know what you are talking about.

Your argument should be a discontinuation dribble with his right hand under the ball. But like b4, u dont know what ends a dribble.

Two hands with LEFT pivot, 2 count, shot. No travel.

  • @CastorFrost so basically your saying that when u touch the ball with 2 hands. that ends the dribble. So in that case when i go play ball later today im going to just pick up the ball with one hand and keep running.. i never ended my dribble.. u dont make since.. ur trying to find loopholes in the rules. He clearly travels.

  • @mgbadboyz Section III-Dribble A dribble is movement of the ball, caused by a player in control, who throws or taps the ball into the air or to the floor. a. The dribble ends when the dribbler: (1) Touches the ball simultaneously with both hands (2) Permits the ball to come to rest while he is in control of it (3) Tries for a field goal (4) Throws a pass (5) Touches the ball more than once while dribbling, before it touches the floor (6) Loses control (7) Allows the ball to become dead
  • @CastorFrost

    (2) Permits the ball to come to rest while he is in control of it. - He has finished the dribble when it comes to rest in his right hand before he span - therefore his right foot before his spin move is his pivot foot - this foot is lifted and regrounded and therefor is a travel

  • @mgbadboyz

Can you please just visit the NBA website and read the rules like we do? Are you that dumb to just 'pick up the ball with one hand and run?' no, YOU don't make sense. Read the rules I just printed. YOU are the one looking for the loopholes, I'm the one teaching you a lesson.

Man I thought you know the rules, but you are just laughable. Keep your comments here, don't delete them, and let us laugh at your dumb ass. I'm outta here.

  • @CastorFrost lol you are stupid as fuck. Ive played basketball my whole life and coached for 7 years out of high school. I know the rules. Traveling is traveling. High School doesnt have any different rules on traveling. Your the dumbass if u think he doesnt travel here. That last step that he takes as he spins around causes him to travel BECAUSE that was his pivot foot. If that foot never moved, it wouldnt have been a travel

  • @mgbadboyz between the legs + dribble +right foot lands, left foot in air left foot lands THEN 2 hands on the ball DRIBBLE ENDED, NBA RULE 10 Sect XIV, b 'A player who receives the ball while he is progressing or upon completion of a dribble, may use a two-count rhythm in coming to a stop, passing or shooting the ball.' right foot forward (count 1) left foot forward (count 2) shot Now son, give me your argument with pasted NBA rules. if you can't, have a coke and have a nice day.
  • @mgbadboyz

and for the record, I play and coach my high school team to 3 consecutive district championship finals. This will be a travel in highschool ball,

    BUT NOT IN THE NBA.

as I would have told my players to make an extra dribble AFTER the between the legs dribble, which would take place AFTER his LEFT foot lands.

This is where you are confused.

I really look forward to your counter argument with some NBA RULES pasted here.

I know I'm right, we know I'm right. You are just misguided.

  • @mgbadboyz

Just another gentle reminder. READ THE NBA RULES, and ARGUE WITH NBA RULES and not your imaginery 'I-coached-7-years-out-of-highschool' rules

I give the NBA rules here

FIBA also has the '2 hand rule' with ending a dribble it's Art. 24.1.2. Read art. 25.1.2, pay attention to the terms 'holding a live ball' and 'pivot', the NBA equivalent is rule 4 sect VIII a.

READ THOSE BEFORE YOU REPLY, as everyone else here can too, and if you reply with your 'coaching', we'll just laugh at you

  • @mgbadboyz

do you even know your nba rules? this is really pathetic. provided you do NOT violate the rule 4, you still have your dribble.

once you pick it up (GO READ THE NBA RULES), you have two steps. He picked up the dribble AFTER his left foot on the floor, then right left.

and yes, you can take AS MANY STEPS AS YOU LIKE, as long as you DON'T travel (carry, palming, 2 hands, allow the ball to come to rest)

please, go read the nba rules, before you embarrass yourself here.

  • Whats more amazing to me is that had any other player made that move and the shot, they would have had a smile on their face or jumping around... Kobe is like, "Just another day being me"

  • crossover under the legs spinning, then picks up dribble, spins around pivot foot, no travel

  • I'm a huge MJ fan and I think MJ is better than Kobe, but a 10 second video just changed that.

  • @The790blahblahblah so ur not a huge mj fan,if you are a 10 sec vid wouldnt change ur mind.a 10hr vid shouldnt even change ur mind haha, but ye that was sick move by kobe tho

  • too bad lakers lost this game

  • i did that yesterday.

  • it's not i done that in a real game couple of times nobody said anything

  • Referee's will not call a foul on such a crucial or pretty play like this, proff: Jazz vs Bulls, last shot Jordan pushes off shoots the jumper,... no whistle.

  • @Darkstarfoxx WOW people still call that play a "push" Nigga they wouldn't call that a "push" foul even in High School. It was the NBA Finals, an elimination game. Go play with your little sister and maybe there you can all call a move like that a "push."

And for the people that have said they've done this etc. I can do this move too. But I don't go around bragging about it. Why? Cuz I did it against my friends, not in the NBA. Get real people.

  • human=??????.........no..xD

  • I know a lebron james fan and he tells me he hates watching the Lakers play strictly because he doesnt want to see kobe do good. I told him good idea because you might become a kobe bryant fan.

  • the second step is his right foot plant in which turns into a pivot.... as long as he keeps that foot planted he can put his left leg (third step) down to push off for the jump.... legal play

  • I think it should be a crime to be that good.

  • @jhnb91 ..the score says it all....lakers down 14 due to kobe taking bad shots like that.....it looks great when it goes in....its also the reason kobe has a lower fg% than lebron,wade,roy,rose,nash,durant.....its also why kobe is the nba leader in missed shots, yet not in scoring....vintage kobe

  • ummm definately a crab dribble >_>

  • lol and look at the score

  • Have you ever watched Kobe play at all?

    Fucking idiot xD

  • it was a clear spin, notice that he crossed-over between his legs on the first spin

  • okay guys....all u smart ppl stop wasting ur energy in trying to explain these dumbasses that this is not a travel...cuz theres atleast one guy in every kobe and lebron vid saying he travelled...they even say they travelled while they are taking free throws...like wtf....so just ignore them

    sick move though

  • lmao. travel in a free throw

    yeh this move is epic

  • @rachitballer wanna know who travels during free throws? chuck hayes.

  • @rachitballer He did travel. count his foot steps.. he walked terribly

  • @rachitballer its about time someone agrees wit me

  • Actually he didn't, steps don't start being counted until both hands are on the ball, after which he only took two steps. Watch closely after the cross through the legs.

  • Steps are counted as soon as a player stops the act of dribbling (palming, holding it with one arm all count as stopping your dribble). Doesn't matter if a player has one or two hands on the ball. Kobe holds the ball in one arm on his last dribble and that's when he stops his dribble and proceeds to spin and take more than 2 steps. He did travel in this play, but the NBA never calls these. Lebron gets away with a lot of them too.

  • @jimeee1999 he took two steps and set for his shot... so therefore was still on his pivot foot and didn't travel...

  • ur an idiot!

  • he is amazing...

  • thats not a travel he hopped to his first step spun took the second...kept his pivot foot regained balanced.. jumped upand shot ....no travel

  • you kobe haters can say he travelled are say anything but i don't hear the call being made and i do see it as a highlight and the basket counted.

  • he took like 4 steps

  • Well, it would be difficult for the ref to call it a travel because it looked like kobe got the ball off just in time before he completely picked up the pivot foot. idk though.

  • Thats a travel.... even though the move is amazing

  • Well he's the best fade away shooter in NBA now, I admit it

  • Tell me where you see the travel dumbass.

  • because he barely travels compared to lebron, wade carries ALOT and he doesnt get nearly as many "phantom whistles" as either of them. thats y

  • Wheres the tavel point out the exact time...oh wait you cant because there wasent any travel dumb bitch.

  • excuse me? calling me a dumb bitch isn't going to make his travel disappear. oh and to fulfill your request, the exact travel was at 0:04, but start watching at 0:02 or 0:03. he moves his pivot foot after his spin hop step move.

and please, next time you use profanity, have something to back it up. because you make yourself look like a fool without it. thanks "dawg"

  • i wouldnt call it a big time travel

because its not a term, theres traveling and not traveling, that may have been, but with so many legs, the refs would need to replay it to c it.. there human, mistakes happen

  • he did travel... Not that he's not one of the greatest players but he did travel.

  • thanep is right guys he travelled... And you are stupid you moron. If you saw the video before saying "wow" as I did you'd see that he moved he's pivot feet.

  • not a travel when you dribble you got 2 steps...he hopped to get to his first step...then he took his second then shot...but if he stood still for more than a second and took that second step it wud be a travel ...but he did it in one sweep

  • Your an idiot. Where did you get that 1 second rule? And what you're TRYING to say is that he did a jumpstop to a crossover and that's not what he did. You must not play basketball huh?

  • he took 2 steps (a spin is only 1 step)

  • wtf spin move isnt one step is pretty much 2 if ur not blind

  • uhmm when you dribble you have 2 extra steps when you watch carefully he hops to his first step..takes the second and shoots...same rules apply like a pro hop

  • where do u see a travel are u stupid

  • idk where these people get of calling it a travel??

    psh

  • yeah uhhhh

    1)kobe

    2)kobe

    3)kobe

    4)Lebron

    :D

  • yeah so easy, the only hard part is to make a shot....and i bet you cant even make a 3

  • he went through 4 guys damn it. If you make shots like that consistently, then your kobe bryant. And, I'm his number 1 Fan!!!!!!!!!

  • i went through four guys like u...so i am kobe?

  • kobe is the best player right now, the second one is lebron the third one vince carter

  • Vince carter???????? Ur fuckin crazy. Vince is washed up. the 3rd best player in the league this year is chris paul. Vince is probably somewhere in 20's

  • his ma fav player so cant get him off ma top 3... btw chris paul is a great player

  • 1) Kobe Bryant

    2) Chris Paul

    3) Lebron James

  • dude r u serious chris paul is 2nd?! just asking....

  • I'm just saying, Chris Paul is 2nd, cuz I love Kobe. But no doubt in my mind, Chris Paul IS the best point guard in the whole league. Hands down.

  • yeah i like kobe too but when i look into it Chris was i mean is 1st and kobe 2nd =.= but to me i think kobe is still 1st hehe

  • ahahha its sucks to be hater right now

  • that was sick...sick...

  • Kobe is another basket.

    Kobe Bryant....in best 5.

  • CRAZZYY!....

Love Kobe! he is soo cool!

  • w0w too good

  • its not travel..if its a travel ref...will call it a travel..hehe

  • this dude is crazy

  • That's why he should be MVP...Everyone knows Lebron James never made a shot like that

  • that wasnt even this season dumbass ... and whaty the hell is this logic "if kobe makes a great move , he should be the MVP" ... go kill yourself

  • who got mvp! lebron or kobe! KOBE

and this is one of his million sick moves that the guy can do

kobe the best rite now in the league and btw it doesnt matter if its this season or not

lebron james will never be able to pull off sumthing like that

  • hey bud, why don't you look at how much he did in the playoffs last year! Lebron stole the show!! Kobe hasn't/can't do shit without shaq. Don't reply comment to me unless they win the finals over KG, YEAH RIGHT. bitch.

  • as for kobe needing shaq. did you even see kobe take over last night against the spurs to beat them from being down 20 pts in the 3rd quarter?

lebron's great, and so are the celts. but haters like you who can't admit how awesome kobe is need to STFU.

    mvp! mvp!

  • The King of Fadeaways ..Kobe Bryant

  • how in the fucken shit fuck do you do that?!?!

  • "OH MY GOODNESS"

  • only one person can do that in the NBA and that mans name is KOBE BEAN BRYANT!!

  • im guessing he just used his two steps?

it looks like a travel but, Kobe's IQ for basketball is so high. iono lol.

Tell me if im right or wrong

  • The moment you grab the ball with two hands, your first step is your pivot foot. He took too many steps after grabbing the ball with two hands. Good shot though

  • holy shit that was crazy... i think kobe himself thoght to himself - woah.

  • Kobe doesn't think that, he knows he can make 80% of shots like that. he's the king of spinning fade aways!

  • thats sick!

  • Woah!

  • SICK!

  • "get up Lindsey"

  • he spins with his pivot foot... no travel

  • Clearly not a travel.

  • dont fuckin hate he not traveling

  • No travel LOOK CLOSE his one foot spins ...its like a pivot to spin fadeaway

  • lord , was that a nasty move or what , just give Kobe his props and stop hating

  • kobe is my favourite player, but that was a travel. just look at his feet after he ounced the ball... stepped about 4...

  • No! It is not... I thought the same but look at the rules and watch it carefully it is not a travel.

  • No doubt that move is verry though and difficult, and ofcourse verry good to watch! great shots like that makes Kobe the best plaer of this era! and make no mistake about it, there are lot of great players in NBA but not everyone of them can do that same move! thats why Kobe is the best among The best of today!

  • u saw that shit

  • i didnt see that, it was a pro hop not an extra step, thanx for correcting me

  • POOPED ON EM!

  • i hate to admit it but it was a travel... either way another routine spinning fadeaway jumper by kobe :D

  • no a spin move is not a travel its like a hopstep, so u cant spin all around but u cant take another step after that, which kobe showed here he spined and faded away, they rule that like a hop step, where u can hop step or step back and still take a shot, sry man not a travel

  • Russell should have fouled Mike and put him on

the line.Craig should have done the same thing

back in those Cleveland Cavaliers series. We

should be thankful for what Jordan has done in

his playing days.I think his life changed in

    1993-1994.

  • its a sick shot no matter what, kobe is the best in the league and as far as his comparison to jordan, should be after he retires, jordan as a full career under his belt so kobe still has some years

  • good point ha ha

  • That was filthy.

  • Lmao BranShaw23 said leAirball James..dat was funni
