U know, it occoured to me this morning, how extremely basic the default 747 is! I noticed this, after simulating a dual engine failure and an engine fire. There is absoloutely no way to control the fuel tank selection or pumps, and no warning signals! I hardly even noticed that one engine was on fire! I mean at least the default 737 let's u control the fuel selectors, or crossfeed etc. and has a fire supression switch for the engines...

Amazon do it, and if you're lucky (like me!) you can get the deluxe version cheaper than the standard one! (And it was the actual amazon company not an individual seller).

i got fsx gold (fsx deluxe and expansion pack) at walmart for 50.00, if u just wanna get the standard fsx by itself, i recommend online, maybe ebay

Yeh but you can't really compare the two. PMDG's 747 addon is for the 400 series, and includes complete systems modeling. It depends what you want from your sim experience, and which version of the 747 you want to fly.

The FSX version may be a little harder on the FPS, b/c of the rendering FSX uses, b/c in FSX it appears objects are rendered 2-sided, so it has a 2 visible faces front and back, versus the FS9 model which has 1-sided, you can the model from one side, but if you go through the model, you can't see the inside "shell" of the aircraft.
