it wouldn't be so bad if the French team was doing well like they were when liverpool and arsenal had their players.. but even the national team are rubbish at the moment so if he starts bringing them to villa we are in trouble!!
gareth barry and james milner should have stayed on at villa and help villa achieve an european cup place....gareth barry should'nt have left at all...he's a viila youth player..should only play for villa as his only club.
I met tony morley in the holte pub after last seasons west ham game. He was a great man, very humble when me and my mate started to tell him of his standing amongst villa fans. The original skin em.
he's my all time favourite Villa player! I have heard he can be a bit moody and that he was the same on the pitch. That if he was in the right 'mood' villa were on fire! But it depended on whether Tony was in the mood for it or not. But hey!!! When he was in the mood.. WOW.. WHAT A PLAYER!! There are two things from the past that I really miss.. 1) Villa's famous 'A' 'V' floodlights that you could see for miles around and 2) Not seeing Morley run down that wing again!
Right, i know this is gonna sound unbelieveable but that picture of John Carew signalling 5-1 at 2:20 was taken by me.
I saw him in his car in Birmingham, stopped him and got that snap. I could probably tell you where you got it from and it would be right, since theres only 1 place it was posted which is probably where you got hold of it.
Yes I agree! I dont think football fans realize just how much important history Aston Villa have. I'm not just saying this as a Villa fan but as a football fan. Villa's chairman 'McGregor' founded the football league just like you say. It's good to see the new owners wanting to keep Villa Park and all it's history too! Not like most of the others who, as soon as they get some money, go and build a boring 'same as' stadium.
You can feel the history of this very special club the minute you step inside Villa park. As a football fan you are not complete without visit to this fine old institute and of course the founders of the first football league 1888.
Nice vid. So sad to see that only two years later almost all have moved on.
