Imagine Ivan Parker or Guy penrod witht eh Cathedrals in the '80's. I could imagine guy, because he looked like Dwayne Burke back then, but Ivan..."Cut that mullet, and you can sing with us."
No doubt this quartet was in a league of their own. Probably the best Cathedral Qt lineup ever. The blend, the harmony, the chemistry...spot on perfect! I attended Glen's funeral and let me tell you, it was a celebration of his love for Jesus! The story they told at his funeral how he sat up in bed and shouted "Wow! Wow!" just seconds before he passed over to his Heavenly home sent chills up and down my spine. What a blessing our Lord gave us when he enriched our lives with this music! Amen!
I think I'll take a still of 3:34 and make a poster out of it. That's exactly how I want to remember the Cathedral Quartet. This group with Gerald cannot be matched. Awesome, awesome, awesome!!!!!!
Hey, Mark didn't really have enough hair either. It's funny that in the late 70's and early 80's they went with the style of that time. That's when Bucky (Mark) did have enough hair.
That's true. I remember that it took a long time, if ever, for a lot of people to shake the 80's style (ahem, Ivan). I guess people stick with what they like and feel comfortable with.
i love danny funderburk. with or with out the cathedrals

I'd love to hear Ernie do this song in Danny's place. It would be really interesting. Or maybe even if him and the Sig Sound did it.

They never made an audio version with Danny and Gerald. it was Danny, MArk, and Roger. Roger had left a few weeks before this video was made.

Yes, I do love Danny. Thanks for posting this!
On a funny note, the Cats seem to be the only group to go through the 80's without the mullet.

Lol ... Yes, I suppose you are right. Of course two of the members didn't have enough hair ...

True. The "younguns" had respectable cuts though.
I hope you've got some more vids to post. I can't tell you how much of a blessing these have been to me.

In the late 70's and eary 80's, the hair was thick and a little over the ears. I'm wanting to start a quartet, and that's the style I want for it.
